An app that has aged wellThis app was initially released in the era of the iPhone, the phone that made you feel dumb not to have because finally...a smartphone that works and looks like a PC. In the early days, there weren’t a ton of apps. I wanted to be able to write parts of my papers for school and then I could easily export my papers as .doc .ppt .xls, which kept formatting and allowed me to move directly from iPhone to MSOffice. All we had during early iOS was a notes app that was just TextEdit and then you could email text. Couldn’t even send photos via text! You had to call AT&T and convince them to click on some random box they’re not supposed to click! But this era of iPhone and Apps were aligned with the iPod. A place to disconnect, dissolve into your own space and finally people could have their records on the go without some lame radio DJ and ads, and anything your could dream of having In your pocket. If I want to write a letter, update a customers invoice, or anything worth keeping – you know, not just a note...then my go to has been this app for personal & professional work. Google is the obvious choice any group projects but I like writing in the app because I don’t have to worry about permissions and accidentally sharing stuff. Sometimes I want to write things and never see them again....The modern trend with tech is to never disconnect. This app will remain on my iPhone, and it’s one of the 15-20 apps the will go on my final iPod – the end of privacy and ability to unplug, just for a bit... & the end of piece and quiet. Suggestions on improvementsHi, I appreciate this App, and like it very much. I have the following suggestions on improvements for your consideration: (1) Suggest to add a function: when tap the top of an opened document (maybe the document name), it will automatically bring the document to the bottom line. If would be helpful when the document is really long. (2) Suggest to NOT alway popping out a dialogue box to choose “save” or “not save” when closing a document, IF the document was only opened and viewed without any revisions or updates. LoveBest document app for iCloud. The local documents are not found by it though and so it has been frustrating. I solved by putting all the locals in iCloud and making sure they aren’t lost to time if I lose my phone. So it ended up being a good thing for me. But anyone trying to locate documents on their iPhone SE 2020 is going to require native Apple utilities by the software agreement and the PLIST is Apple. So don’t void the warranty or get into trouble trying to find old user data. It is always a fake put and you may pay with your entire everything. I learned so much! I love DocumentsBeing a minister, I use documents to prepare each sermon that I present to people. Documents is used solely for this purpose, and I am able to comfortable store messages and have been able to compile them for over 4 years. I can refer at any given time to old messages, exerts, notes taken and just simple random thoughts. I do miss the abilities to highlight in another color and save. The old version allowed this feature, but the newest version allows you to highlight in another color, but does not save it in the selected color..Biggyo43Version: 17.2

Documents app.This app turned out to be pretty nice, I could not find how to take my document and put it loaded on my picture category on my iPhone. I would like to pull up my photos and have the document along with my photos which then I can forward two emails but I haven’t found how to do that. I did find how to email a document, it came back undeliverable even though I typed it correctly. Just amazing and here’s why...Ok so this is amazing because you can organize very easily here. The design of the app may look old but that doesn’t matter, what really matters is how good the app is. I have known about Apple's free document app for a few years and have been using it on my phone for every kind of letter, list and note you can imagine. Bug in the last update (or is it a bug?)Suddenly I can no longer add documents or folders. All these changes have happened to the app and yet there has been no official update since July 2019. I thought the fix would be to uninstall and reinstall the app. The first time I did that I could see the + sign again. Easiest document appThis is the easiest and best document app, for my iPad mini to use. Fairly easy to navigate the different options. Only feature I wish was available, is a search option in an open word document. To find a specific spot in the document, and not have to scroll forever, if its a large document. My “Go To Doc” App!I love Documents and have used this app since 2013! It has seriously been a lifesaver when working on portable devices before and after having my Google acct. I’ve been able to use this app with my iPad, iTouch, and iPhone as my main document repository for many years. Excellent appThis is a great, straightforward app. It's easy to organize documents and their content. My one pet peeve has to do with font size, but that's really a slight-rain-when-you'd-been-hoping-for-only-grey-clouds sort of annoyance. Not substantial in the least. One of the greatest parts of this app is that it doesn't bombard you with ads constantly. Update ProblemI still love this app 👆 the 5 stars and still very worth them. Just a heads up since the update there’s been an issue with changing font and size. For some reason it gets stuck in the screen. There’s no way out but to close down the document and start over. So I’d suggest save frequently. Ads on my phone???I am trying to open a document that I need to send urgently to my insurance. This is on my phone. MY phone, my document. And how in the world it is popping up an ad for a scanner that I dont want and no matter what I do, the ad doesnt leave the screen and I cannot access my doxument at all! There is no option to close it and i even chose “install” just to get rid of it, it still wont go away! I dont need to scan anything. I just need to s nd a pdf file to the inaurance and now i cannot access it because of the ads!! Since when we have ada on our phones to open our phone hard drive?? This is outrageous and abusive. More and more I want to remove myself from the grid but unfortunately the world doesnt allow it. Lots of companies only offer the app to interact with them. Basically if you dont want a smart phone you cannot funcion in the current world. These companies are horrible and abusive invading our life and privacy and giving us no way out. Ugh 😤 I have started going back to the past and have only hard copies on paper of everything. They have the control over my phone apparently and the files I have saved in it. Trying again to post my 2 star reviewFunny how they don't post negative reviews. I left a 2 star review a while ago and it never got posted. This app doesn’t work correctly. It doesn't save colors. It doesn’t save with .doc extension, it only saves documents with RTF extension. Spreadsheet files are limited to CSV extension. It does not copy and paste from other csv or xls files. It saves newly created empty files and multiple copies of edited documents even when you hit “don’t save”. It doesn’t save files to iCloud folder even after you set the document storage folder to iCloud. The help files are either nonexistent or they don’t make sense for this app. There is no possible way there could be so many recently posted 5 star reviews of this app! It doesn't work correctly. Very few critical reviews. LOL. Really? By all means, download this app! Find out for yourself. Please Fix These Bugs That Are Keeping Me from Wanting to Use This AppI love this app. I used this app for three years with no issues. I’m giving it two stars in this review because I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app several times because of a bug that I can’t figure out how to manually fix. I kept doing so because I was hoping the problem would be resolved eventually. The issue has been that I can’t apply changes to the font. There’s no option anymore to apply the changes I make after I click the font button. I can set it to “Times New Roman”, size “15”, but I cannot apply the change, or exit out of the font changer. It may be just that my device is “behind” (I am working with an iPod Touch 6th Gen), but if I can download the app, it should function correctly regardless of what I’m working with. This basically does not workIt is one of several Savy Soda products which I have purchased but found to be completely nonfunctional. This will not open spreadsheets without renaming .xls to .csv and even then all that changes is the error message. Support is horrendous. Usability is zero. I’m not picky, just want the basics to carry an Excel spreadsheet on the go on an iOS device fro sometimes months at a time. Despite many hours I have yet to gain this functionality for a minute. I have actually tried several Savy Soda products and none of them are functional. None can handle the basics... opening or creating an Excel spreadsheet (or other office doc) on an iOS app, editing it and saving it in a Microsoft a Office format. I have contacted customer support numerous times and receive form letter emails. I put the issues where instructed and have never received a response, let alone a resolution. Missing true Dropbox integrationTo edit a file in Dropbox, first you have to find the document, but there’s no “search” features in this app. So I search in the Dropbox app. Then I have to download the document, which loses the context of which Dropbox folder the document was stored inside. After editing locally, I tap the “Save” button and all I see is “Local Files”, not Dropbox. I suspect that even if I could save to Dropbox it would make me find the folder again. Don’t download this appMy experience has been that any data I created was deleted when I deleted the app. I think the data should have been able to be preserved outside of this app and can’t believe it wasn’t. I am writing this review so people will know they will steal your data or delete your data without your consent. If you don’t save it to iCloud if you keep it on your device and use this app to create your content, they will steal your data or disappear your data. So kiss it goodbye there’s no way to save it if you use this app. It would also appear that their review history is completely bogus. If you will notice all their most recent apps, reviews are five stars from unrecognizable accounts that are bots. BEWARE this app! Where the heck did THAT file go?Sometimes a file is there & other times it’s gone. I’m tired of losing stuff. I have several photos in Documents. I can open one but once it’s open I can’t get to the next photo. It seems the App writers felt I’d never want to see any other. — And I understand that free Apps will have ads, but I get pop ups that I can’t Exit from. The only option is to “get“ it. App writers seem to believe that we normal people want to load our phones with More Apps, just like they do. It’s like some people who want a million Friends on their Social Media. Great Document for daily medical trackingI was really blown away by how easy it is to set up and use this app. I was looking for some way to track my daily medical information. I kept going through the little booklets they give at the doctors office and just wanted to keep track of it on my iPhone. So now I have it one place. Date, Morning Sugar level along with before/after sugar levels taking Janumet with meals, Morning Meds, Evening Meds, Victoza shot, also blood pressure readings through out the day and any Notes. The only reason I didn’t give it a higher rating was today is the first day. After a month of using it I may go higher in the rating. Oh, did I mention ALL this for free? Quit working and no supportI have been using this app to store important documents on my iPad. I have been satisfied with it until about 6 months ago. For some reason the app will no longer load. It comes up and immediately crashes. I am unable to access the documents. I have been required to try to remember what all I have stored so I can duplicate them in a more stable app I emailed SavySoda support and received an automated reply with a reference number. That is all after months of me sending desperate requests for some help. Save yourself some grief and use a different app to store documents. There are several good ones from Reputable companies. Sounds ads aggravatingAbout a month or so ago, the ads started popping up more frequently. They used to occur when navigating away from the app, but then they started occurring while in the app and typing, which was very disruptive, especially since you would inevitably tap on the ad and get taken to the App Store. Then in the last week or so, the ads will not disappear until they are played out entirely AND they are sound ads, so I cannot use the app during a meeting, or it becomes disruptive. Great Program / ANNOYING VIDEO ADSI have used this program since its introduction, and found it to be a useful alternative to paying Microsoft again to use Word on my iPhone. HOWEVER, today I went to save a new document and I was taken to an 8 SECOND VIDIO AD that I was forced to watch or I would lose the unsaved content. These are the most intrusive and annoying ads that a developer can select of the many options available to make money. Cannot edit Microsoft Word files!I copy/pasted the following from this apps Online Help section under the FAQs: “Unfortunately, you cannot edit a .doc or .docx file at the moment. However, you can view the content of .doc and .docx file.” As a result, this app had the shortest life span of any app I’ve installed on my iPad 5. I downloaded this app for that very reason: being able to edit my Word documents while away from my computer. No can do. Doesn’t function rightI would have given it maybe a 3. But since I started using it again. I’m super disappointed. I’ll copy my doc. Written in my iPhone notepad. Make all my adjustments to documents.. when I save it’s fine. But it’s hard to just view again without clicking out and coming to the first page. Also.
