AWESOME App, 1 DrawbackI've been using Camera+ for a while now, and the only reason that I am giving it four out of five stars is because of its RAW support. The fact that this app lets you shoot in RAW and TIFF is awesome. As someone who takes a lot of photos and is into advanced photo editing and high-quality imaging, being able to take TIFF and RAW images with my phone is awesome. But for some reason, when this app creates the DNG file it downscales the resolution of the image. I love how this app lets you save to multiple file formats at the same time, but unfortunately I rarely, if ever, find myself actually editing and then using the RAW image. There's nothing wrong with TIFF format, but honestly I see no reason for RAW support if the image that it creates is drastically downscaled. Maybe it does this to save storage space, since RAW files are very large, but the iPhone has a 12 megapixel sensor. I would really like to be able to use all of my pixels in RAW format..Hstudio00Version: 9.1

Nordic233I have been a customer since tap~tap~tap first started. I watched it get better and better. I don't know if the creators remember me but a few Years ago I wrote a manual. Basically I took their user manual which were in no specific order on line and printed them all. Then made dividers between the sections and designed a slick looking title cover. I took a few pictures and sent them to the creators. I only did this for myself because I love this app. I've probably this app to over 150 people and they became believers. Actually this type stuff I do for a living. I'm a marketing director for a medium sized firm and making a user manual was kind of fun. But it's obsolete now. The technology is so advanced that anything you do will be no good because of changes. This app has come a long way. For those who have read this, order this and if there's any charges for add ons buy them! You so t be sorry. There is no one app better then this in the entire world. Great app!This was the first app I started with years ago for photo editing on my iPhone and as an amateur I found it completely life-changing. Easy to use but kind of like a crash course in basic editing. It’s a high-quality, trustworthy app that rarely crashes & is as good or often better than apps that charge. Just seems like a great team is running the show there. While I now use several other apps I always check things out first on Camera+ or Camera+ 2 (mostly stick with +2 now). The option to save to lightbox and/or camera roll is great & their filters are a lot of fun. Their editing tools are fine also. What I would love is the option to change opacity, color, intensity, & radius on the memory and nostalgia filters so I don’t have to switch to other apps but hey- this is free & great. I also love the option of jpeg or tiff & the choice of actual camera settings like ISO, white balance, etc. I should also note that a phone died once and years later when I re-installed Camera+, photos I thought I’d lost forever were still right there. Almost perfectI use this app every day an it has allowed me to (mostly) abandon adobe systems’ clunky software and subscription model. I sincerely appreciate it. That said I noticed a minor issue in the integration that I hope you will address; when routing images through the iPhone x’s native Photos app, the window shade that replaced the home button cuts off icons and text in the lower portion of the screen. I bring it up because it seems that going through camera+’s lightbox software ultimately creates more steps. It would also be handy to include a specific 11x17 and 10x13 crop feature so we may all utilize the printers available to us. Moving forward it may be wise for the developers to look into what is currently readily accessible for frames and mattes, (ie whatever is available cheap on a big box craft store shelf). I would also encourage them to look into a method of upscaling a lower resolution image in acceptable way. The app has told me repeatedly that it must save at a lower resolution than the imported photo. That is unacceptable, especially with the new processors available in most phones. Offering it as an in-app purchase might be might be a way to wrangle a few extra bucks out of the power users. All that being said, it’s still a five star app. Keep up the good work, it’s appreciated. Please resist the urge to use the subscription model. Camera+ great replacement for iPhone 4sI haven't played around with all the features yet but I like that on a Jailbroken 6+ I can replace the stock phone with a more robust choice. I've yet to see if I can manually select deth of field and iso settings. If you've installed the new iPhoto then you have even more tools to work on a layer to create HDR enhanced photos. Adding either Panoramic or stitching view your scenery shots become beautiful. There is much to like here for those who want more creativity and artistic photo enhancement. I'm rather old school with film and would like more control such as a built in light meter for those who don't trust white balanced photos and would like to view the shot by pushing or pulling the film sensitivity. Also adjusting for light bouncing would really help improve manual shots. One last request - make it easier to change the default icon to say a Leica or a Hasselblad 😜.LQNgineerVersion: 10.10.12

Please add some better antique photography filters for the antique and monochrome filter sections.I love the concept behind this app; it has a lot of potentials, but I would like to see an expansion of the antique and monochrome sections; specifically, I would like to see the addition of authentic-looking daguerreotype, tintype, and ambrotype filters; I think that would be a cool addition to this app, and who knows, a lot of people might love it as well. How you add that to this app is up to you, but I think people might enjoy that addition to the app. And I would also like to see the addition of a Gameboy Camera filter and it's various 2-bit (four shades of color) color palettes. And I would also like the ability to adjust the image quality of the Gameboy Camera filter to whatever amount of bits you want, so they can experience the look of one without putting up with the technical limitations of one..GG777Version: 10.20

Love the fine control of manual settings!The manual settings have to be enabled from the app's preferences, but definitely play with them. This has what the standard camera app lacks, and I had wanted something like this for a long time. The settings start at Auto but as soon as you tweak them they switch over to Manual - it's really nice. There are just 2 things I found buggy. #1 Despite the ability to shoot in extremely low lighting (tried photographing a glow-in-the-dark shirt in a dark room)... the UI emits so much extra light from the screen while the photo's being taken that it overexposes the photo! #2 Some of the post-processing filters look inconsistent, like moving a slider from 0 up to something and then when you move it back to 0 it looks different from when it was at 0 in the beginning...minor details. Honest review to receive free upgradeAs far as the upgrade goes, I can’t yet say/give it a my honest review/star rating, as I have yet to try it out?! The regular camera app seems to work out fairly well, it’s difficult to say how it compares to the ‘free’ Apple camera app though? I think it depends on the individual who is taking the photos and if he/she prefers to apply the various filters or prefers to just take the photo and print it. I enjoy my photography and try to take a variety of pics with different filters depending on what I have in mind for the photo (and who/what the photo is aimed towards!). I hope this helps and I’ll try to add another review once I’ve properly tried out the new upgrade as well (Why I only gave this 4 vs. 5 stars for now!)! Pro Photographer's view...[revisited] It’s essential that you allow for a copy/paste feature for each photo’s set of edits. If you take a batch of photos under the same conditions and want to apply the same settings (both lab and filters) to multiple other photos, you need to be able to copy edits from one and apply the to others. This could be done under the info section of an edited photo where it gives an overview of that particular photos edits. Just add a “Copy Edits” button... go to the next photo under same section and add “Paste Edits” type of buttons. It’d be so intuitive and I frequently go there when looking around for said feature. Additionally, one step better, implement “Favorites” or “Custom Edits” that you can go to for custom, preferred type presets. This is the only thing that the app is missing compared to other photo apps. A “Clean Up / Clone Stamp” type brush or preset would be nice also and avoid me taking pics into photoshop for my teen son with acne’s pics ;) ^^^^ ...This app manages to get more out of the camera than the ios' camera and the slew of post processing, editing and filters are like photoshop for your smartphone. Nice but . . .This app does a few things well and offers some innovative filters and other tools that definitely offer the user some effective and useful options for creatively manipulating images, and even improving borderline exposures. Having said that, there are shortcomings that include crashes while saving and loss of images beyond a certain undefined date. If nothing else, Camera+ should indicate at what point photos will be deleted from the plus database so they can be archived elsewhere. 2 years later update: Ugh, still losing some great images due to unannounced cloud deletion, and crashes when saving edited images makes this very frustrating app. Get ready to tear your hair out if you push your creative skills. Total respectI bought this app years ago on my first iPhone 3s when camera apps were plentiful and the native app was limited. Since then, they have maintained and updated this app continuously and at no additional cost and no reduction of features. I wasn't prompted to rate or review the app, it was as I'm downloading a fresh release I realized these guys deserve the highest praise and recognition for building a tool that is helping push the frontiers of mobile photography. I no longer use a dedicated digital camera because this app combined with ever improving iPhone hardware really results in getting great pictures at any given moment with the camera that's always with me. Broken flash supportEDIT: Old review is below. I’ve bumped up my rating since this update at least explained the problem (lack of support with RAW + flash). Turning off saving RAW images fixed the problem for me, but if you need those images it could still be a problem for you. I want to like this app. As a photo editor it’s decent which is why it keeps a star. I submitted a bug report for the previous release though about the “Camera failure” message I get when taking a picture with the flash enabled on my 8 Plus. (This works fine in the stock camera by the way). I received a response that it was a known bug and would be addressed soon. Well that was about 1.5 weeks ago and they just pushed an update today with more bug fixes. I still get the camera failure message. While it works just fine if I don’t need to use the flash I don’t want to turn it off altogether but also don’t want to risk missing a picture because the auto flash decided to kick in for a shot. If this is fixed soon I’ll update my review. But for now I can’t recommend this app, at least on an 8 Plus. Maybe other models don’t have the problem..Jeslek25Version: 10.10.10

The best editing appFor normal people that like to make outstanding photos, this app is the best, hands down. I’ve tried MANY, and this one can add flash so you can see your subject if it’s too dark, boost the color if it’s too grayed out, tilt, crop, amplify details, and much more, yet each one is an easy click and a slider to choose just the right amount. It saves your work back to your photos (adds it) where your original is still there, unaltered. I know this sounds like an add, but I’m just a sole person who’s tried them and always go back to this app. I need something that can be quick since I’m on the road, yet I’m a perfectionist. I’ve given up my SLR😥I Bought my first SLR, Fujica in 1974 When my son was born. My next camera was a Minolta 7 series, the first integrated auto focus SLR camera available. I loved it and continued with the Minolta 7i series. My only regret moving exclusively to my iPhone is the lack of a good flash system. I have the 5400 flash that will work on subjects more than 90 feet away and crazy fast shutter speeds. Camera+ actually meets my creative needs. I use the spot meter and selective focus features constantly. The macro feature really worked very well when shooting my coin collection. The Portrait feature is not as good as my SLRs, but is more than adequate. Bottom line, unless you’re a pro this app will make stand alone cameras unnecessary..Reb BacchusVersion: 10.10.1

I've have been using Camera+ for a few years now and it is hands down THE best camera app I've ever tried! I have tried many other camera & photo editing apps but always come back to Camera+! It has everything I need (and more) all in one app even earning a coveted spot on my iPhone task bar. The constant upgrades and improvements are beyond expectations. They are always adding so many new features that I still haven't used this app to it's full potential! Make sure to check out the extras (like tutorials) in the settings section. Owned Camera + Over 5 YearsWhat a great photo app. I’m sure it does not meet everyone’s needs but buy a professional set up if that’s the case or maybe invest in some aftermarket lenses. The pictures are just crisper, clearer and more vibrant than Apples app. There is a bit of a difference as to where when you’re taking a photo of friends the distance is different than the native camera app. Just recently I’ll open the app and it will intermittently decide not to work. Great AppAlthough this can be a little slow (iPhone X), it’s still a fantastic app that I’ve used for a couple years now. Even though I paid for this app, I know that money is needed for “ongoing” development. A generous 3 starsTrying to change the format on the fly is quite frustrating. Just to change the pictures size requires you to tap through all the sizes until you land on the one you want and if you happen to pass the one you want, you have to go through it all again and the just the beginning. If you’re in a hurry trying to capture a fleeting shot don’t use this app. Your phone might not survive. This app still freezes up and crashes here and there, not as bad as before but still maddening when it does. I had to close it last week when it froze in the stabilizer mode even though I had it secure on a dam wall. My main camera is still the one in my iPhone 7. My “Go To”To everyone, I’ve been using Camera + for years. I love it. For me it’s incredibly easy/intuitive to use. Camera+ LegacyOver the years I have purchased Camera+ on two separate occasions because it is one of my most effective and favorite apps. Today after cropping one photo, realized I no longer have the “current” Camera+ but the legacy version and can no longer edit or save a photo. Am fully aware that Camera+ is a business and needs to survive. Disappointed that Camera+ has chosen to almost completely disable my legacy version and render it useless. The BestI’m a budding photographer and though this camera’s capabilities are beyond my current skillset I wouldn’t use anything else! The options allow me to quickly and easily experiment which is paramount for this newbie! Couple the options with the most awesome ever tutorials and you have the best camera available! I’m learning a ton and greatly appreciate the easy to understand delivery with not so much jargon that I need a dictionary every other sentence. I checked out a lot, I mean I went into the research abyss looking for “the” one camera to meet my needs. Made for iOSEasy to use. Takes me back to early Mac days. Editing well thought out so it actually helps! Amazed founders did not sell out! This is the app to use when you want to share pictures. Good appThis app I have had for a year or two. It is really good with a variety of options. The filters, picture settings and automatic options are endless. I do wish there was an undo button and at times if you aren't careful you could take your picture in progress out of its library. Such as if you are wanting to finish editing a picture at a later time. It is confusing when saving it because it will put the picture back in your photo library and remove it from the app itself. I love it but...I have loved this app for some time now. I am especially excited that RAW has been added to it. The editing suite is great and fun to use. I have only one complaint: GPS tagging is bugged somehow. Near as I can figure, the location gets stuck where you open the app. I took some pictures at home and then minimized the app. Later I took some pictures while out and about but the pictures are tagged at my home. This may seem like a minor thing but it bugs me to no end since you can’t seem to edit locations on photos. If not for this seemingly new bug, I would give it five stars..Mayhem6Version: 10.10.11

Love this appI always go to crop first because I print at 4x6, then to scenes to color correct. That's usually enough to get 10 times the picture but there are also tons of filters in labs and filters. Literally dozens of options and flexibility. Then I go to frames and there are a couple that always work for me. Plus there's a caption option on the frames to add even more meaning to the photo. All in all I take about 3 minutes to make a good photo fantastic. I've used a few other photo editing apps but Camera+ is by far the best..ZarboobafooVersion: 9.1

Don’t leave home without downloading this cameraI love to hike and camp and taking time to really notice the work around me. My #1 favorite thing about this camera is the ability to take macro pictures that are amazing! I take pictures of some very small flowers, or dew drops on a leaf or grass and the results are superb! I used to carry a high end point and shoot for that purpose but no longer! I’d give it 6 stars if I could Another feature I like is image stabilization... this too is important outdoors. Nice. Clarity filter not ideal.My two goto 3rd party camera apps are Pro Camera and Camera+. Camera+'s much self-touted Clarity filter has its limitations. When your subject is stationary, I prefer Camera Pro's HDR functionality. Simply put, it's results are more pleasing and "smooth" in side to side comparisons. When your subject is moving, that's where Camera Pro's HDR really let's you down unless you actually want a blurry photo of the feature that is moving. In these cases, Camera+'s Clarity filter is not perfect, but it's your best option..Mr. LuigiVersion: 9.1

Perfect for pro's on the go.As a professional wedding photographer, I take capturing images seriously. My pro equipment is heavy and expensive, so bringing it with me everywhere I go isn't practical. Being able to rely on my phone to take images the way I see them is very important to me, and this app let's me do that. Macro functionI am really unhappy with how my macro pics are coming out. No more sharp beautiful macro I was able to take prior to whatever changes you made. I used to be able to focus in really close, the closer the sharper but now I have to step back to take macro pics and it is not zooming in the way it should. What is that all about? I’ve done everything I know to tweak the settings to make it work but no luck! I am thinking about ditching Camera plus and finding something else. I am sad and disappointed. Love This App!I have had my eye on this app for a while now . Couldn't wait any longer. NO REGRETS! No more having to juggle multiple lenses and heavier DSLR camera for great pictures I can once again take breathtaking photos with my just my lightweight iPhone! I've never had a problem with this app! My arthritis made it difficult to change lenses, adjust settings and even just carry the extra weight of my DSLR. Now it's all in 1 app on my iPhone! This has replaced my expensive DSLR cameras!I never thought I’d be saying this, but Camera+ provides all the manual control ability that I have always enjoyed in more expensive cameras. On a recent trip to Europe, I left all the expensive gear at home, and used just my iPhone6 for photos. Editing the shots with C+ made the results look as good as if I had taken them with pro gear. Can’t save selfiesI’ve been using this app for quite some time on my iPhone 6S plus with great success. I now have an iPhone 12 pro max and the only way I can save selfies to my camera roll is to select portrait mode, which I’m not a fan of. I love this camera!This is the best camera I have used out of the few I have tried. I love the humorous update history too! Has Dev changed?As I finance professional I understand the need for subscription-based pricing; without it, an app becomes unsustainable for the Dev long term. In its infancy the App Store only had free and one-time-purchase offerings, essentially creating the belief by some users they were entitled to a lifetime subscription, to include maintenance and upgrades, with no further cost. App development is an occupation, and compensation is the motivation that provides further development; without it, a developer’s interest may wane and cause the app to drown in the sea of abandonware we saw in early days. The vast saturation of mobile devices leaves a small handful of first time purchasers, unlike the early days of App Store. That being said… I’ve used Camera+ for many years and noticed it stopped working due to the addition of the subscription model. What I’m confused about is what developer own the app. There appears to be (at least) two Camera+ apps along with an app called Photon but are these by the same developer? Can we get some transparency into the transition and information on whether three apps are supported by the same team (despite having different dev names? I see my comment has already been asked but I’d like to see an answer before committing to an annual sub. New stabilizer is deal breakerI have used this app for a number of years to take photos for my business and personal use. I have recommended it to hundreds of people as it was the best way to take a picture and make the most of it before transferring it to your photo gallery. That is no longer the case and I am strongly considering deleting it from my phone completely. The new function that will not take a picture unless the app considers the camera to be absolutely stable is infuriating. It is already a downside that it takes too long to open the app in order to take a Candid picture in the moment. Now, half of the time the phone will not take the picture at all! It just continues to say that the camera is not stable no matter how stable you are holding it. I have missed way too many pictures since it installed this feature and it is just not worth it. Erased my photos for no reasonNormally I really enjoy Camera+, especially as a back up camera since I often run out of storage on my iPhone. However yesterday I was taking a bunch of photos throughout the day, erasing some from my camera roll as I went to make sure I could keep snapping. And when I went back to look at them many hours later, the majority of them were gone, including some really special ones I had taken the day before. I have no idea why this happened or how to get them back. It seems the app malfunctioned or something, but I've never seen it do that before and I am extremely disappointed, to say the least. I have a bad feeling they're gone forever since I hadn't yet saved them on my phone or to my computer. Finally gave upThis was an extraordinary app when I started using it years ago. The controls remain top-notch. But lordy, the lag! Native camera app spins up in a second or two and shutter response is nimble. Camera+ on a good day is 4-5 seconds of black screen, then the camera, which then gets rescaled a second later. OK, I can live with that, but pop the shutter and just sit there. Hit it again, nothing, again, nothing. Shift your framing and then the shutter pops. Give up in disgust and lower the camera and two more pop off in rapid succession. Granted, I'm on an iPhone 6, so nothing is zippy, even after the battery swap. But again if you benchmark this against the native app, there's no comparison. "Spontaneous" photos are completely impossible. Thought to upgrade the v2, but the reviews there cite the same problem. Turn off the flashlight!I was poking around on the icons and turned on the flashlight. A big box opened up telling me this would drain my battery. I think I had to confirm that I really did want to turn on the flashlight. The box closed and I couldn't find the flashlight icon. I found that it had just moved to the opposite end of the row. What is the reason for moving it after turning on the flashlight? So I clicked on the flashlight icon again, assuming it would turn off the flashlight. NOT! I clicked a few more times and it still didn't turn it off. I clicked the menu and that was unhelpful. Eventually the flashlight turned off. I don't know if it was due to something I did or it just automatically turns itself off. Don't buy anymoreThis used to be one of my favorite camera apps. Unfortunately no more. With this release, there's a nasty bug in the program and I reported it. I sent information of my findings, and how to recreate the problem. After 48 hours, there's been no response or acknowledgement from them. I edited some photos, added effects and titles and saved the photos to my camera roll. I am able to see my edits on my phone and share with people. However, when I import the edited pictures to my Mac (Photos app), the photo shows up, but ALL my edits, crops, etc are gone! Just to make sure, I tested editing a photo, saving it and then importing to the computer. The same problem happened. The edits show up on the phone camera roll. Once upon a time, Camera+ is used to be goodI have been using Camera+ for several years now and it has been a go-to app whenever I want to shoot something manually. Thanks to its extension manual setting capabilities. The latest update, however, is a disappointment. I have had several problems such as: - major lagging when switching front and back cameras - slow over all performance - the app draws too much battery and it heats up the phone after just a short time of usage - crash occasionally when working with raw files and saving multiple pictures at once - major issue: it crashes my phone by showing just black screen. No response from home button, no way to terminate the app. I had to force restart the phone to get over it. While the new update brings new features but issues with stability is really a big set back. After all, stability is the whole reason for iPhone users. I reduce my rating to 2 stars due to current issues until developer has solution for it. No access to LightboxI have purchased this app and unless you set your setting to save pictures to your iPad/iPhone you are not going to have access to them. It says the photos are saved to “lightbox” and you edit them in “the lab”, but I am not able to even find my photos. I went on Camera+ site and after and hour I was able to find a place to send an email for help. Unfortunately, what I received back from them was an automated email giving me a case number and asking to to please wait for someone to contact me. I have “iCloud sharing” enabled - but again, I need to have “Lightbox” which seems to not exist unless you are a guru or the like. Library Wiped OutAfter using this app for more than 4 years, I'll admit I had a lot of photos I should've saved on there. I use Camera + like a backup whenever I run out of space on my camera roll. But doing that finally caught up to me - the app started getting really glitchy and would quit on me at times. This one time when I kept taking photo after photo and then the app closed. When I reopened it, my entire library was gone. After refreshing it many times, I reached out to the app's support but they never responded. This happened back in July. Cannot edit w/out it going blurry!I’ve used this app for years and have never had an issue. After taking a photo, it’s the first photo editor I’ll use, without even thinking about it. It’s habit! But the last several times I’ve tried to use it, I can crop the picture if I need to, but once I get to messing with the saturation or the exposure or try to sharpen it, the picture goes blurry and doesn’t show my changes correctly. It just stays blurry.
