Wait list app helps retain customersNoWait is very helpful for keeping track of all restaurant guests when a restaurant gets busy and has a wait list. It convinces customers to accept a long wait when they would otherwise leave because they can wait where they want and receive a text when the table is ready.
What's also great is that you can use multiple iPads and iPods so floor managers can assign tables to parties and notify parties from the floor while the hostess remains at the host stand. This speeds up the seating process and keeps everyone updated on the wait list since the app syncs on all devices.

Needs better app friendlyI'm a host and lunch rush is a pain. For years we just used a paper map and colored in sections with the server name on it. It gets hard when to decide which server is next to be sat. This app is a good idea but needs a few more things.
1) Be more app friendly. During lunch rushes, were in a hurry to get the guest in. Make buttons more easier to click and to navigate.
2) Different Shifts. Different parts of the day we have different amount of servers which requires more sections in our 40 seat restaurant. I see this app lets me select tables for each section, but I don't have time to select/change the tables for each section. Example, slow time has two servers so 2 sections. Rush time is 7 servers. So sections change.
3)Seating chart reminder. I wish it told which section is next to be sat. Another thing is multiple devices. How do I know when a table is dirty or of the guest left? If somehow the busser can select to open a table up for me. Other than that. Great idea..SmartHome25Version: 3.8.2

Mediocre …AT BEST. Just another Yelp data collection app.So I thought Yelp Seatme was ok. Not great by far and had a ton of issues that never were fixed, but Guest Manager makes Seatme look like it was made by actual restaurant people. The biggest pain so far after just a couple days is the inability to pick our own table to use when making a new reservation. It just auto assigns and has no selection option. Also it forces you to get a phone number and sometimes you’re just putting a quick reservation in. I get they want everyone’s information but let me make the reservation without it if I so choose. Also, the app should be more customizable. I don’t use half the stuff on the left bar, let me remove it please. Also, taking away the double tap feature to go right to seating a table is a big mistake. Now just to seat someone you have to click 5 times. I need it to be fast. The backend stuff is also a pain, you really have to go in and set it up perfectly or else it effects your whole system.
On top of it all, this was forced on us at 530pm in the middle of dinner, then none of our guests info was in the system. We were able to get 1 years worth of notes but not all of it. For a company all about collecting data I’m shocked they didn’t keep it all. Just not really impressed, it’s like they took the good stuff from Seatme and threw it out and took the bad stuff and added it to a new app that some small slow paced restaurant used and got paid to review and say it’s great..SamueliamuelVersion: 7.4.2
Extremely DisappointingWith the phasing out of yelp reservations and the obligatory transfer of use for restaurants to make booking with guest manager, you would think that this platform would be more fine tuned. Yelp guest manager is poorly designed, lacking the helpful features that yelp reservations offered. The fact that one must toggle between reservation vs. waitlist vs. seated view is totally pointless. And currently, I’m not even able to access reservations on the browser, because of some “error”. Yelp Grab for MoneyHave been a faithful customer for almost 5 years. $50-60/month. Had some glitch issues and downtime but overall, it worked well enough for our pub for the price. When Yelp bought them, I knew we were in for it. This week, they revealed to all of us that it would now be $300 a month to justify the new features and stability. When I called to talk, I was patronized and brushed off. They told me I would lose customers; that Yelp/NoWait was the reason I had customers. I canceled. New update is visually awfulThe latest update has made this app incredibly hard to look at. The colored lines for sections are too thin and not distinct enough. The open table/seated table scheme swapped so it’s the opposite of what we’ve gotten used to for the last nearly 5 years. Harassing Phone CallsI downloaded this app to see if it would help our restaurant on the weekends. After an hour or so of playing with it, I determined it would be more trouble than it's worth, and deleted the app. The next day, a Friday, a get a call in the middle of my shift from a Pennsylvania number. It was NoWait wanting to talk to me and offer support and advice. I politely explained that I didn't think the app would be useful to our particular restaurant and that I had already deleted the app from my device, but I appreciated the call. The representative insisted we schedule an appointment for Monday to call me and explain the app. Again, I declined and thanked them for calling, the representative let out a frustrated sigh, gave a short "goodbye", and hung up. Terrible Merge from Yelp Reservation to Yelp Guest ManagerI am recently forced by Yelp to merge from Yelp Reservation to Guest Manager. The previous Yelp Reservation was OK so far. Now it turns to useless system that I don’t even wanna use it anymore. It was a mess for me to use the updated version of Guest Manager without telling me that it will be change. And I was told that the updated version of Guest Manager will have the same or even better functionality than Yelp Reservation. Maybe I get the point if that happen. But how can you merge into the system that’s useless, eg. it can’t adjust time if customer arrive early. I can’t create tags to label my valuable customers. There are lots of things that I can’t even customize in configuration. Lost of lots of function from previous Guest Manager at configuration. Support is NOT 24/7.
