Yelp for Business App Positive Reviews
OwnerYelp has been there for me since day one. I started out using there help with exposing our biz Bamboo Pools out there. Within our first year we were having to reduce the amount of potential customers because we didn’t have the man power to accommodate the work. I would recommend Yelp today to any biz owner. Yelp was part of our beginning, our back bone, and still today is our go to if we need a little more leads sent our way. It don’t costs that much. It can be nerve racking to put up money that you’re not positive to make back or even more you can’t afford to, but I tell you this to be true, our second and third month we stopped tracking the automatic withdrawal that was taken from Yelp for the generated traffic leads that lead to new clients and many projects. We had more work that we can handle, which led to success and many positive reviews. At one point we were one of Yelps #1 new biz owners who do work right! Today we are just making it due to a tumor found in my lung. Work slowed , and I just couldn’t handle the work like I use to. Good reliable Help was hard to find. I wish I could go back and change some things. Smarter decisions, better choices with my health and work relations. Being a biz owner is tough. Today I’m thinking I may have to start working for someone else. I’m a valuable asset to our company and hope to help the next prosper. For now I can do these projects from leads off Yelp. Thank you so much Yelp for your help. I couldn’t have done it with out you..JeffgordonbVersion: 25.33.0
Don't believe the hype....To other business owners and those who may believe what we've all heard for so long.... for years now I've been forced fed the idea that there is only one search engine that is "Used by 90% of all users when searches are being done to fine a local service". I don't need to name the G word search engine I'm referring to, but you all know. Well take it from me... hit the reset button on what you think you know. Eliminate the brainwashing bashing that we've all been tricked into believing about Yelp. If Yelp is 5 or even 10%, then it's the 10% cream that rises to the top. It's the filter of fake leads. As a business owner who has listened to promise after promise from multiple self proclaimed "SEO Pros" who promised a near rapture-like ascension to this holy, almost unattainable top of the search mountain, only to be strung along with ongoing promises telling me we are "Almost there" but then once again ultimately disappointed.... I have one bit of advice for you. STOP!!!!! You're being insane. Instead, ignore the propaganda, put all your ad spend with Yelp, and see what it feels like to have quality calls come in and book jobs! Take the hand of YELP that I'm extending out to you. Lastly, I would like to publicly show my appreciation for what Yelp has been able to bring in, over such a comparatively short amount of time, as well as express my apologies for ever thinking you were anything other than the saving angel of grace, or Patron Saint of Leads that you've proven to be. Thank you!.StetersVersion: 24.29.0

Pay for customersApp is easy to use and navigate. It’s paid customers. I tried to download and try their “free” trial, all we got is a lot of calls and updates on how to utilize the app by paying for everything so you can maximize your spot and visibility on their app. If you don’t pay? It doesn’t matter how popular you are, you will be at the bottom, unless your niche is specific and few competitors are on the app. Best of luck..Loulou APVersion: 26.14.0

Yelp for Business App Negative Reviews
Waste of MoneyI like yelp and I like reviewing businesses and I thought it would be cool to have my business on yelp but I was wrong. I keep trying yelp ads and I keep getting sold yelp ads by these people who work for yelp, but it’s always the same thing. I have people who are “interested” but then when I respond to them I never get anything in response back. I’m actually not convinced that they are even real people who are reaching out to me. They even make their phone number available and when I call it goes straight to voicemail. I never receive any kind of information or any kind of response from these “people“ meanwhile yelp continues to charge me more and more money. It is a complete waste of money and I feel like I’m continuously being scammed. Then when I go to exit the yelp ads, it takes so long for me to cancel and they keep on offering me more and more deals to stay when they’re just trying to get more money with nothing in return. I don’t know if this is worked for other people, but this is definitely not worked for me and you think I would’ve got it the first time, but this is now the fourth time that money has been taken from me by yelp ads with nothing in return, I have seen not one person, come from yelp even though yelp has claimed that I have over 60 leads. Yelp ads has generated “60 leads“ but I have not seen one person in my doors or even respond back to me..Small gym ownerVersion: 24.31.1
Using Yelp for 3 yearsThis review is long overdue. I have aHandyman in inland empire so cal area. Pros you get what you pay for in ads back if you are using them correctly. Something I had to learn a few months in. I have a website and yelp was sending reason to my website when I didn’t want traffic to my website I don’t well items on my website. I need phone calls and messages. Now for the list of cons. Yelp will send you work for doors 3 weeks then windows, then furniture assembly . They will send leads to you even if you don’t do it have them marked off on your page. Yelp will also mess with the algorithm one day you will get 10 messages the next 3 days nothing. When you try to post pictures or videos Yelp doesn’t upload them. The notification are a hit or miss. I check Yelp hourly, there’s plenty of times where it says I had a message delivered 9 hrs ago. When I open the app hourly and nothing is posted. This affects your response time and ability to gain future leads and prospects. When you email customer support no response at all. How ever if you call and want to increase your monthly budget all sunshine and rainbows. Unfortunately for what we pay for the past three months have not been great at all. Only a handful of jobs through Yelp. We are starting to look into Google and other platforms now. I hope this helps anyone thinking of doing ads on Yelp.MyfookinnameistakenVersion: 24.43.0
It helps but poor concept for reviewsWell I agree Yelp for business definitely helps to run any business but when a new user who wants to review a business but don’t have any friends (let’s be real, how many of us have friends in Yelp) pushes the review to unrecommended. Even the legit reviews are not visible. That is even understandable as it’s a software doing it. I reached out to Customer representatives and I was able to get hold of one and was telling her the issue and she says it’s the software and all of the sudden the chat was blank and unable to reach any customer reps over chat for 2 days. How is that they are all busy all the time and couldn’t even get one rep even if I waited in the chat for very long. Also, you wouldn’t know if the lead comes only to you or it is been sent to others and you are getting it as well! It’s not clear. Would be great to show a way to know if it’s direct lead or opportunities that was sent to others as well. Unable to filter with confirmed job or not hired. Unable to archive messages. Unable to attach more than 5 pics in chat with customers. Not showing the status of the lead if it’s hired or not, even though it asks for it. Could improve more user friendly..Ramsk0408Version: 24.5.0
JUNK!Everything looks flashy and modern but when you, as a business owner, attempt to accomplish anything, it’s impossible to find things. They’re constantly changing the menus and location of various tasks and when they do, they don’t update their FAQ’s or Support area with current instructions. For example, I spent over an hour attempting to add another user/admin to my account for one restaurant. I searched through every tab and submenu: I finally went to the Support area which directed me to go to the Account Settings menu. Unfortunately, this doesn’t exist. It’s probably in the process of being moved somewhere. The various tabs appear to make sense but when you actually want to make an edit to your page, there’s no logic as to how to actually accomplish what you’re trying to do. Even contacting support isn’t as simple as you’d think. It’s great that you can call and talk with a human, but when they are closed their support articles don’t help. They lead to nowhere and give inaccurate information. When you do call, they are usually very helpful, except when they aren’t. I have been waiting on follow up for almost a month on a billing issue where someone else’s ad (not my business) was getting charged to my account. Yelp is all about collecting money from restaurants and businesses and puts up this huge front that giving them money is going to help your business when the reality is you can just walk away and forget Yelp even exists and be in the exact same position as your neighbor who wastes time and money with Yelp..TonysjungleVersion: 25.23.0
Terrible.I don’t believe there’s actual humans working for Yelp. I’ve called their customer service line and been on hold “waiting for a representative” for 45 Minutes. I’ve tried multiple times to contact someone. Every single one of my reviews has been removed. I have real clients leaving me reviews. I feel crazy because I’m feeling targeted. The robots of customer service that i can reach via email tell me it’s an algorithm that removes them and they can’t do anything about it. Which has to be a lie. Nobody at Yelp cares because it doesn’t affect them. It’s so frustrating. You can’t even be on the Yelp map unless you pay Yelp. And I don’t know what to do. This algorithm removing my ads is severely effecting my business. For the day or two they leave my reviews up i get inflow of customers. How do business’ get reviews ?? I follow their guidelines and rules. I have never asked for a review. I tried this app because my friends who started A business recommended it but it’s terrible. This is not for small businesses. Save your money. It’s so infuriating that people will leave kind words because I do an amazing job and it’s up to some AI robot if I get to keep MY REVIEWS. Doesn’t matter if someone is a credited yelper or not. I’m at my wits end. This has been going on for months. I see a glimmer of hope and then the “algorithm” decides for me what people can see about my business. I would give 0 stars if i could. I bet nobody will even read this and nobody even cares. Nobody ever cares about the little guys..Jennabean1234Version: 24.6.0
Not Worth The Time Or Money.I’ve honestly only had my page active for Yelp for only a week. 7 days that’s it. In those 7 days, I have gotten someone claiming that I worked on their house which I did not do, numerous scam calls trying to get my information and get me to transfer to Google, and when I asked on average how many jobs would I receive, I was told a minimum of 10. No one has messaged me for a job. And now I am in a situation where scammers are calling and texting my phone non-stop and I have an over $150 charge that I am going to reluctantly have to pay. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. As a small business owner and a family man I deserve better than this. UPDATE: So to even get your business name off of Yelp, you have to shut down your business and delete all other social media of your business. Pretty much if you cancel on Yelp, Yelp goes out of there way to make it near impossible to have a web presence afterwards. Why? How is that even a legal business practice? Got it cancelled. Was told that would be charged on the 1st for the week however it’s in 2 separate billing cycles?? So I’m getting charged 5 days in one and 2 days in another. Only to figure out that I got charged today! It is the 23rd! All in all I’m happy I got out of this financial death trap! Also I AM NOT GOING TO GOOGLE ADS. This way other users will know this review is coming from a an actual person, who dealt with firsthand experience..Bloodface9476Version: 22.7.0
Fake leads, scammers, high bill for thatI contact the business support team several times, telling them that I have not received enough leads, at least true people searching for services. They gave credits for ads (totaling more than $4k!!!) I have been spending 3k per month (following the support team orientation). I called them around 8 times telling them that orientation was not working and I would like to give the Yelp a chance to work with me and maybe there's a solution or something. Also I said that I would not pay for that high bill and I don't want an ads credit I would like a discount on my bill with the promises that they will solve that later. Result: I stopped to work with them, the support team did not help me with anything my bill ends on $7k and they sent me to a collection agency. I tried, I did my part, I did nothing wrong, well the worst thing I did was believe on Yelp Businesses and their support team. The calls were recorded, the managers called and listened them, one of those said I was right but obviously he can't do anything as an employer. Yelp can contact me anytime to help with that, I'm fair person and still in trouble because you trained guys lied to me. Maybe it frequently happens with others so be aware of their promises like “you're gonna call me next week just to thank me, Felipe” or “you're gonna hire one more crew after a couple of days”. Sounds familiar? I'm really sad..Phil80usaVersion: 25.31.1
All lies! Big scam! Was given around $800 worth of credits and are not used towards much. Still had to pay $240 per month. Cancelled after first month and even called to confirm. Entered in my service area by the border to Canada in Wa. Was receiving bids that look more like computer generated leads as you will never get a number or an email back but almost all leads were from places hours away even on the other side of the state, Oregon and California. You can’t be specific in your job because it only always key words and phrases. Which is very big in my field. because describing them again can only use key words the app has. Their sales to get you to buy is convincing but their support department doesn’t give you the time of day, will not work with you or hardly listens. It is a heartless company in my eyes and as of now will tell everyone to stay away from this company. They continued “continuing, we’ll see again next month” to charge after I’ve cancelled, got their confirmation link, called and verbally confirmed. Instead of getting my refund for $480, the lady threatens to hung up on me and I wasn’t even arguing yet. Nothing but excuses for her to hang up which she did. No care what so ever they charged $480, I still have almost all the credits from beginning, cancelled over a month ago and deleted that app over a month ago. They will try and continue charging you. Do not download or pay for this app. I will always tell everyone to stay away from this company until they want to correct their mistakes..Zach B1Version: 20.31.0
A disservice for business ownersI do not like how you have to pay to have any sort of normal feature on your business profile. They advertise your competitors on your own business page and to change that, you have to pay a lot of money each month. Not only that but TONS of features you have to pay for separately. It’s like ordering a ton of side dishes with an already expensive meal that has a disappointing plate. Oh you want a lemon in your water? That’s another charge. I used to ask clients to leave a review for my business and didn’t take time ever to check them out but when I did, the majority of the reviews were “not recommended” and on a whole other page you have to read fine print to even view. And the reason they aren’t recommended or displayed is because these clients don’t ever use Yelp and honestly I applaud them for that. I remember the first two years after making a page for my business I was practically harassed with phone calls from yelp employees trying to convince me to “upgrade.” Basically if you don’t pay them a lot of money each month, they make your business seem like it’s not the choice you want. Sometimes I think it would be better to not have a business profile on there at all. I get so many clients that search for the service I provide on common search engines. Yelp wants to have their chunk of change from every business. It kind of reminds me of the mob. If you don’t pay up, they don’t allow your full potential to show and instead advertise those who pay them on your page. I know I already mentioned that part but that is horrible for them to do that to small business owners..Smallbusinessowner216Version: 23.46.0
Scammers!Horrible experience with yelp. As soon as I registered my business I got a call from the manager offering a $900 promotion for promotion. I explained that I was new to the usa and didn't speak English well. I asked several times if I had to pay my money? She said no and persistently offered to run the promotion right away. During the conversation she suggested I enter my card details in the app. I asked again for what purpose and do I have to pay anything? She didn't explain the essence of the promotion and took advantage of the fact that I don't speak English well and didn't offer to read the detailed information in the letter or on the website first. I ended up being charged $108. I wrote a complaint to yelp. They replied that I should have familiarized myself with the promotion. Sounds logical to me. If only the manager hadn't pressured me in the phone call and given me time to calmly familiarize myself with the details on my own. My language skills would have been enough to understand the essence of the promotion if she had really explained it. To questions about spending my money she answered directly and one-syllable "no!". I believe the company employee is a fraud and the company itself encourages such actions. By the way the result of promotion I did not get. And 108$ I would very much now would not hurt to pay for housing and food. It is disgusting that the company profits from immigrants..Alena.errVersion: 23.47.0
Where’s my reviews???I’m extremely disappointed with Yelp’s review process. I’ve received reviews from Yelp users about my services and each time Yelp has decline to label them as recommended. Which would be fine if they still reflected in your profile in the search results view. They explained that the recommendation process is automated and they can’t manually override the system. They even explain in the support section of the site that the users giving the reviews in most instances are legitimate users but they just aren’t established enough to meet Yelp standards. How is the user supposed to become established if you don't see their early reviews as legitimate and how is a new business owner supposed to establish themselves ( on a review platform) if you prevent legitimate feedback from previous clients from being seen by potential clients?! If I’m lucky enough to get a lead from Yelp I end up having to explain why I don’t have reviews and have to defend the legitimacy of my business! This needs to change! A business should still be able to receive their star rating and reviews should be shown even if they have to add a disclaimer advising the user that not all reviews are recommended. Then give the user the power to decide if they would like to patronize the business! I’m sure this business model was set up to protect the consumer but it’s a turn off for the business if I’ve got to fight to gain a presence on the platform. Google never gives me any issues and I’ve never had anyone question my legitimacy there!.Austin Scott & AssociatesVersion: 20.5.0
A Different POVLet me start by saying Yelp is good platform when it’s from a customers point of view, the user interface is great but when you’re the business side, it’s a whole ‘nother story. I personally have the Nearby Jobs feature active. This means when there’s a request for my line of work, I’ll get notified, not hired, just notified. So it’s ok, there’s multiple businesses trying to earn the customers bid. We as businesses don’t get charged to quote, we get charged if customers respond back. Now normally it’s ok if the customer wants to ask a few questions before hiring or going elsewhere. Customers here respond with 2 letters on average, NO, and that is all it takes for Yelp to charge you, a small business $20 to $50 for the ‘conversation’. That’s not fair, it’s like going to a retail store, going to the cashier, I don’t want it, and somehow the property owner charges the cashier for interacting with the customer. The cashier didn’t do any business, all they did was informed of their pricing and the customer says no, that’s good enough to charge the cashier. Same here, Yelp will charge as long as the customer responds back, they offer refunds but you have to explain why, and at their discretion they will approve or decline the refund. Imagine 5 customers reaching out to you and then not choosing your service, you just lost $100 without even making a dollar..Space MaesterVersion: 22.10.0
UnhappyI am a small buisness looking for more clients, so I used Yelp to help offer my professional dog training. 4 of my 15 reviews are actually being used because the other 5 star ratings my clients have given me are clafified as “not recommended”Apparently it is at random,Or if they think another business owner/coworker/Family member is attempting to boost your review... why the heck are you NOT recommending MY PERSONAL CLIENT REVIEWS?! Who have taken the time out of there day and praise what I do and did for them as a professional dog training? They are hindering my buisness when they should be making it thrive. All they want is for you to pay them more money by BOOSTING your buisness page, they won’t ever let you take a buisness down, so if you do get a bad review, no matter who that person is, or what they could possibly be ranting about or what pictures they upload, it will be seen by all people and has the chance to never be taken down. Which will hurt your buisness more than anything,You also have no control over what pictures are representing your company unless you pay them, That is just ridiculous! So let’s say you have 20 reviews, 18 of which can be five star reviews, two of which could be one star reviews. Yelp has the authority, “at random”To potentially put 15 of those reviews is not recommended give you 2 one star reviews and only three 5 star reviews to view from the public. When other businesses have over 100 positive reviews because they pay a lot of money. It is extremely unfair, and unprofessional, and biased..DaepballaVersion: 20.49.0
Small Business Owners Be AwareMy business is almost 8 years old. I was excited about getting on Yelp. In my first year. I even paid for ads which did not pay off. My very first review suddenly disappeared. Then my next review disappeared out of view to “unrecommended “. For years Yelp called me to buy ads. I said no thank you until my reviews stopped disappearing. A few days ago I did have 2 older reviews still showing. Yelp called me again. The salesman grabbed my attention when he showed me how the partnership with Google maps works. At the end when I was truly considering a trial, one of my two reviews appeared to disappear in front of my eyes without explanation. I had two reviews when we were talking. Suddenly I had 1. I was very upset. The salesman started talking over me. I told him I was so done. What do potential clients think when all of a company’s reviews are in unrecommended? My clients are honest and caring people. Do you think they are pleased when their reviews are moved? I was an Internal Audit Director for many many years. Every red flag has been thrown up as far as this practice. APPLE- if you are reading this, you should evaluate Yelp’s practices. It would not matter if I bought ads for years - a small business like mine stands no chance on Yelp. Owners - be sure you understand the process before you buy..DreneebVersion: 24.36.0
My first review mysteriously disappeared??🤔Horrible. Tried the free trial, changed debit cards so I figured I didn’t have to cancel because they didn’t have my new card info. Got nothing but spam calls. I was under the impression that messages were only being sent to me, not all of my local competitors as well. I didn’t like how any of it worked so I chose not to update my card info and figured that would end it. Nope, they somehow got my new card (which feels very violating) and charged me $70. For one day?? And when I canceled, whatever I was paying $70 for ended the benefits same day so however they charge– it must not be monthly. Scammy. And now I’m wondering if they have a deal with the App Store because the bad review I left a few days ago mysteriously disappeared. I didn’t violate any guidelines, I didn’t post anything that was untrue or use any curse words. Had my bank block yelp from any future charges they could possibly run, since many people have said they have gotten random charges from yelp even after canceling. Worst experience with a company I’ve ever had. I thought big corporations with so much money would have no problem correcting an issue for a customer, but there is absolutely zero chance they will refund me. They do not care about people trying to grow businesses, they just want the money to grow their own..CccccccvvvvvvvvvvghVersion: 25.43.0
Absolute garbageI started a business that I dreamed about for years. Took a lot of planning and precious hours to get off the ground. I was so happy to help my customers and to offer them my experience and expertise. Yelp seemed like a logical next step. I’ve heard horror stories but like everyone I thought it would be different with me because I was doing everything by the book. The first problems started when I signed up for local jobs for $150 a month. As soon as you get notification that there’s a job it expires immediately. Finally I just got fed up and disconnected it. Guess what - as soon as the money was turned off I started getting notifications from local jobs that were over a day old and to see them I had to resume my subscription. Scam! No way! After helping countless customers I managed to get a few reviews and was very proud of them. Then a few days later one of the reviews disappeared. Then another, then all the rest followed. The only crappy review that remained is the one that Yelp decided to keep on my profile which totally killed my traffic. Thanks Yelp. I hope you go out of business. This business model is total disgrace and a scam and should be illegal. I looked other successful businesses that wanted nothing to do with Yelp and I applaud them. Bravo. I turned off their services and switched to Google AdWords and am very happy!.Phoenixace666Version: 21.14.0
Scammers and liers fraudI have a small business I received alots of email from yelp to open account and once I opened account the customer service keep calling me every single day here what happened! So I was new to the yelp software the customer service guy said let me help you make your business profile correctly and complete he was showing everything on yelp to click this and that at the beginning I warn him that I don’t want to pay for anything now if it’s free do it if not I dont want to do it now he says no no it’s free so he said just to complete your profile plz insert your card information I remain him again about I’m not paying for anything at this time and received same answer he was talking to me for 45 minutes approximately and once he scams me he hang up after 29 days there was a charge on my card 700$ from yelp I called yelp and ask them about why they charged they said your ad was on for the whole month and also highlights I told them that the guy told me it’s free to make a page they said no it’s not and you can’t get your refund anyways so she hangs up on me the whole month my ads was on but I didn’t get single business from yelp then i said it’s ok I link my yelp account to my website and also mentioned it on my google ad and I stop yelp ad so couple of my customers from google left reviews on my yelp page 6 of my permanent clients left reviews on my yelp business account but the every single time clients leaving reviews yelp was dropping that reviews they still dropping it from last year every single reviews only bcz !!!! Biased Software for Customer ReviewsDO NOT advertise your business with Yelp. Google Ads is better and cheaper. Not all customer reviews are posted on your Yelp business page. They use a software that decides if a review is “recommended” or “not recommended”. If a review is “recommended” then it shows up on your business page. However, if it’s “not recommended” then it doesn’t appear on your business page for your potential customers to see. The company does not tell you what parameters their software uses to determine if a customer review is “recommended” or “not recommended”. For example, I had four customers who all gave me 5-star reviews however, Yelp’s software indicated that all of my 5-star reviews were “not recommended”, and those reviews as a result did not show up on my business page. However, someone left a 1-star review on my business page and the software decided to “recommend” that review so now the 1-star review is the only review that shows up on my page for potential customers, to see, even though I have received 5-star reviews from other customers that aren’t shown on my business page. Their customer service is rude and did not provide any insight when I questioned the customer review process. I advise any potential business to NOT to use/advertise on Yelp..Twin9096Version: 24.18.0
YELP STOLE MY MONEY!Yelp stole my money! As a small starting up business looking to expand my brand, i did what most do, advertise online. I used facebook, instagram and TikTok to begin with since it is a free social media platform but of course there is options to pay for ads. I wanted to advertise online without having to pay a penny. I came across yelp and wanted to give a try. When I signed up I received a call In which they guided me on how to create my account. I explained to them that I didn’t want to pay for ads because as a small business I don’t have enough profit to cover my expenses. He then offered to me that $900 on free advertising for 3 months. I kept explaining to him im not interested because i was afraid that advertising clicks would go over the $900 limit then I would get charged. He then told me the ads would stop once it reached $900 and I wouldn’t be charged a penny, that he is just trying to help me expand my business. So I accepted the offer, one month later i get charged $700. When I called back asking why yelp said it’s because the ads went over my $900 limit, when I explained to them everything i was told from them, they said all they can do is offer me $300 on free ads but not the money back. I kept asking for my money back but they replied by saying that they are a business and that they need to make money and can’t refund my money because they won’t be able to cover their expenses. Meaning its ok for us small businesses to lose money but not ok if they (bigger business) loses money. So for those who download this app do not trust them with your money! You will be robbed and disappointed! Also i get nothing but scam calls!!!.Very liiittVersion: 24.4.0
ShakySo I downloaded Yelp for Biz around September of 2024 to promote my newly opened nail salon. After setting up my account, everything was good until their customer service team reached out to me saying “hey we’ll give you $900 of our ads money to promote your nail salon”. So I agreed to take the money, but after a few months, they tried to charge me over $500 for ads when I never agreed to pay for them, they were supposed to give me $900 and let me DECIDE to pay for further ads. So I had to dispute the charges with my bank and order a new card because they further tried to take my money and when I called Yelp customer service to delete my account for good, they claimed that they don’t permanently delete business accounts and all I could do is “mark it as closed”. But when I marked it as closed, I would close my app and reopen to see if I still had my account that I didn’t want, and everything was still there. Also, when I called to delete my account, I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to speak to someone. It was very traumatic and annoying, moral of the story is if it sounds too good to be true, it is..DDfromtheblock1Version: 25.2.0
Should be better for what they charge to advertiseSo many things wrong with the app and the desktop site and Yelp doesn’t seem to care. I added myself as an employee so Yelp decided to mark EVERY SINGLE lead as unread. So now the app shows 2500+ unread messages. The app is slow so to click on a message and let it load and then back out to mark it as read takes ridiculously long. There is no way to “mark all as read.” There’s no way to customize what information you need from a lead when they send in their initial request so most of the time there is missing information which means more back and forth messaging which means less than likely we will be able to close the sale. We have so many 5 star reviews that are being hidden with no reason for them to be and no way to reach out to Yelp to have them be made visible. If someone sends a request and then adds additional info afterwards, Yelp won’t show the full message until we respond which makes zero sense. The desktop site is so much worse than the app. They also don’t offer reports like how many jobs you were hired for, how many leads you got in a month, how many people responded, etc. It’s not available on the app and according to Yelp, they have no way to pull up a report on their end. You have to go through EVERY SINGLE LEAD to see if you were hired and create your own report. There are very few customization options and you would think if you are paying $700+ a month for advertising, Yelp would offer a better app and better experience. Their customer service reps are nice but have zero answers for anything and they don’t attempt to even slightly beyond what they have to to help you. Hopefully one day they will make some changes and offer a better experience to their customers..Loner momVersion: 22.34.0
Frustrated OG UserMy personal account that I used to manage my business account has been deleted and I can no longer access it after 20 years. No one from the business side cares to help (for over a year now) because they claim they don’t have access. I am also not purchasing ads so I’m sure I’m just not a priority. There is no customer service phone number for personal yelp. The business yelp is frustrating because there are so many outdated photos I’d like to delete including a photo of a toilet a guest left showing how clean we are. I can’t delete or move photos unless I purchase a plan. So at anytime, the toilet photo can become my profile photo for my business which is a spa…not a good look. We get calls from reps daily. I’ve tried working with one explaining I don’t have a budget for ads but I need her help and she gets snarky and won’t help. I have other locations and every call ends with “so you don’t want to make more money and grow your business?”… I’m in sales and you will not win me over with this pitch. I need help with my accounts and once these issues have been fixed then I may be interested but until then, stop calling my spa. I’ve emailed and asked not to be contacted unless it’s to help me and not to just sell me..Jenn GoldVersion: 24.36.0
Awful for small business ownersIf you’re a small biz owner and considering advertising thru yelp I suggest google ads instead. I’ve given yelp plenty of $ and have never had a single booked job come from them. Where as on Google at least half the customers who contact me end up booking with me. I’m a single mom who runs a small event decorating business. I canceled yelp ads payment subscription many months ago yet was recently charged $102 out of the blue when I called to ensure my subscription was fully canceled I was told there would be an additional charge hitting my account for 3 days that had passed since they charged me 102. Make it make sense bc I can’t. And I’m unable to remove payment info even tho I’m no longer signed up for the paid subscription plan. They’ll have ppl reach out to you about setting up your yelp profile to get more clients and they’ll promise you you’ll get 5x more leads and booked leads vs Google but in my personal experience Google ads pays for itself whereas yelp has never paid a fraction of the $ I’ve spent with them. Again not a single booked job came out of the 4-6 months I was using the paid advertising plan. Yelp is a scam. Maybe good for bigger more established businesses but a rip off for small businesses..KelseyohaganVersion: 25.37.0
Freakin’ FraudTo make a very long story short, do not, under any circumstances, give these people access to your card information unless you are incredibly wealthy and don’t mind their deceptive practices. After a free month trial of advertising, and canceling said trial, I started getting random charges anywhere from $13-$70 a week. Naturally I was very confused so after the 3rd charge ($54) I finally built up enough resentment to call customer service only to wait on hold for around 23 minutes. Once someone finally answered the phone, she ignored literally every single word I spoke and shamelessly squeezed me for money. Turns out the trial I signed up for also came with a deluxe profile (or whatever it’s called) which evidently costs a different amount every week. I was never told this was the case so I never thought to cancel my profile, although I did request to have my business removed from this site entirely already. After going back and forth with customer service for another 20 minutes I was finally able to remove this profile and (hopefully) put an end to the random charges. That being said, I will never use this website again and I will firmly recommend anyone with ears attached to their head to do the same..Nick-perk-0208Version: 26.10.0
Please read and considerThis app is a waste. Specially if you’re a small business owner who’s only trying to use their so call marketing tool to advertise your business and gain clientele. They go base on clicks but they guarantee you no business. For a whole month I had people “click” on my business page and saving my info (which they tell you about that). But not a single one reached out. They charge you for the amount of people visiting your page wether you get business or not. Then you get billed for a lot for business you never even got. It’s a pyramid scheme. They put themselves on top, they get you “leads” like Angi, puls, Tulogy, etc. but they guarantee nothing as long as they’re getting their money. Help support can’t do anything about it because they just work there. It’s not their problem and they can’t change the business policy. But the owners and such are getting rich of everyone for them providing a crappy service. I stopped everything with them and cancelled all ads and advertisement I recommended everyone else does too. Stop getting this people rich and find a better way to succeed and bring your business up with out these big businesses that promise and promise and don’t deliver. Kick them to the curve and show them you don’t need them. All I ever got was a bunch of Indian dudes with American names trying to scam me. Trying to get work for me for more than I what I do it for and telling me they’ll mail me a check. Using the excuse they’re always far away in a hospital getting surgery or some sob story and that their landlords will help with letting me in the home I will work in and what not. All fake and scam. For all I know it’s them themselves clicking on the page to charge me. F you guys..KratoskilledZeusVersion: 23.8.0
Not Too ImpressedWatch Billion Dollar Billy documentary about Yelp and then you decide how you feel about Yelp and how they treat small business owners. I had 5.0 Stars for 6 years and promoted Yelp harder than anyone, at least 10,000+ people and clients I have referred to Yelp and have well over 600-1,000 pictures of work I have done for customers on yelp too. Yelp Calls me daily to try to get me to buy advertising, lies and says its $0.11 then tells me it comes out to thousands of dollars per month and doesn’t offer any advantage at all. Each time I say I’m not interested I get a mysterious bad review from someone who is not a customer, so I can’t even say I’m not interested or they make up stories and put them on your business listings. Then when I complained to Yelp about it, they started filtering out my last sixty 5 Star reviews and continue to filter out 99% of all customer reviews for the last 2 years too. The App also constantly says you have mail, sometime 1-10 messages but when you click on the app there is no messages, even resetting app or resetting I phone doesn’t fix the ongoing problems with Yelp. Yelp feels to me and countless other businesses like a big “Billion Dollar Bully” just like the filmed documentaries about Yelp and how they treat small businesses..OfferUpPrivacyRightsVersion: 20.25.0
Terrible.I think they have this set up to drain your money. You set a threshold for ads and the amount of fake calls and clicks is wild. The rep helping set up my account, didn’t tell me, and put generic photos THAT WAS NOT OUR WORK and added unapproved text on my page. I didn’t see this for while so I was paying for advertising and Yelp was misleading potential customers and those posts effected customers perception of my company. Could never get ahold of anyone after, called and emailed numerous times. On top of that, I have REAL reviews customers have left. Not being convinced or told to and I have about 8 reviews hidden from potential customers sight and Yelp says they use an AI to determine what reviews get shown and what reviews get blocked… realistically I think there’s a big class action lawsuit waiting to happen because I am not the only one. I’ve paid thousands of dollars over the course of a year for advertising. So I’m not saying don’t use this because it does work, but be very mindful on all the fake clicks and calls you are going to get and have to pay for… and don’t let them edit your page, it’s not authentic. They use AI generated and stocks photos that could undermine your caliber of work and business..Gofur1 JimmyVersion: 26.15.0

Read befor spending money to grow your businessI can tell you right now that it is almost impossible to start growing your business with this yelp they expect you to do all the hard work and yet pay them all the money in the world to promote your business and they are a pay per click so for instants if you are a contractor a plumber or anything in the field of services they will promote you the same as Google adverts or campaign you’re better off spending your money running campaigns on Facebook Instagram Twitter and Google because they will charge you thousands of dollars for impressionsAnd out of 30,000 impressions I had five clicks and no phone calls in two months paying over $2500 tell me how does that make sense yet being a new customer on there platform they do not allow previous customers to leave reviews they want you to get new work and reviews from those customers so how is it possible to gain traction or new customersWhen you start off with a zero reading with no reviewsClearly they’re going to just pick the person with 100 reviews or 10 reviews if that makes sense this was a complete bust however it is a decent platform to list your company information run promotions campaigns.Kasper708Version: 22.47.0
Absolutely notThe person that I spoke to was extremely pushy and unprofessional and I say unprofessional because I had things that I had to do and she expected me to stop what I was doing. Mind you I was in the middle of making dinner for my family to have a conversation with her and do things on my phone because she felt that what she wanted me to do was more important than me taking care of my family. And then whenever it came to scheduling a time for her to call me, I told her I had things that I had to do that I would be extremely busy and she just would not listen and kept pushing me and trying to make me accept a phone call which I ended up missing because I was driving when she called these people do not care what you have to do as long as you do what they want you to do and she absolutely refused to answer my questions with a straight answer and kept trying to avoid answering the question. And then said that there would be a hold on money on my account which is fine, but that implies that if I close my account, I get the money back. No, I got charged anyway. The only thing that she would say is we don’t charge upfront and that they would never charge me more than $500 a month. I don’t have $500 a month to give to advertising and not be making any money. And then closing my account, I can still log into my account. Even though I want the account closed, I shouldn’t be able to log into the account if I want the account closed. You tried to call them nobody answers. I was on hold for an hour and still didn’t get an answer and would have been on hold longer if I had not hung up at a frustration. And it takes him 5 to 7 business days to answer an email. Which to me is absurd because if it took me that long to answer an email, I’d never get anywhere with my Business at all..Ms.hydeVersion: 26.16.0
Feels like a scamI used yelp ads 7 years ago. I was content. I canceled and put advertising in our trucks instead. After years of calls/ solicitors asking me to sign back up, I always said no, and even asked them to stop calling. The calls still came in. Last week i got a call, and decided to let them run for 30 day trial with a $900 budget and i would cancel if i didn’t like the results . I asked about AI and bots clicking on my ad just to charge me, she assured me that doesn’t happen. My billing was to be every 22 of the month. I signed up the night of the 19. She said since we were so close to the billing period there may be only a small charge. I checked my bank and seen i was charged $202. I canceled and called the 800 number for a refund. I asked how i was charged, according to them, i had 3 visits, 1 call, and one call to action (which is also a call). Absolutely false. No missed calls voicemail nor text. On the phone with Dendra, is were i found out the solicitor failed to ad a promotion and was given option to be refunded. I said i would consider signing back up, but for now would only want a refund. She then informed me, the refund (for the scam) was only if i continued using them for advertising..239TREEVersion: 25.8.0
Watch Billion Dollar Bully DocumentaryI supported Yelp more than anyone in my area when Yelp started. I build Decks & Fences. I am Very Small independent contractor competing for lowest prices in a Democrat State that allow Thousands of illegals to come and work illegally to compete with my small business. Needless to say I listed my business on Yelp because it is FREE. However as Yelp put thousands of small businesses out of business generating billions of dollars, Yelp started harassing me and writing fake bad reviews and filtering out 50-60 of my most recent 5 Star customer reviews even though I offered Yelp proof of every review customer contact pics and addresses. Yelp started demanding I pay for additional services that I am not interested in and when declining they filter out more reviews and start sending me customers for services not in my industry. Seems there is a lot of documentaries of good honest hard working Americans like myself with small business's also suffering from Yelps unethical business practices. Billion Dollar BullyI didn’t want to believe that such a big company would actually live up to its description on a documentary that seemed like it was out to get them. But fortunately for the documentary “Billion Dollar Bully” it’s true! They claim businesses who pay to advertise and those who don’t receive the same treatment however this is easily debunked when they attempt to “extort” money from you and you decline. Day 1: I opened the account, 2 reviews are placed by customers Day 2: Representative attempts to call me to “talk about my account” I decline. Day 3: 3rd customer review placed on the spot does not show up Day 4: representative puts more pressure into calling me to “talk more about it” Day 5: 1 posted review disappears and representative claims all this is happening due to their algorithm weeding out the “fake reviews” Really? Because I bust my bottom to get good reviews and the algorithm just decides they’re fake. Read more reviews here and you’ll see I’m one of many. Try Google reviews, they haven’t got caught or accused of any shady malpractices. Also an automated generic response is placed after every complaint. Maybe it’s their algorithm doing the responding too. Luckily this isn’t Yelp or the “algorithm” would flag me as fake..LUI-G 2585Version: 21.50.0
Yelp for BusinessFor starters, the app is Shoddy at best. Businesses can only upload low quality low resolution content to represent their business. When competing against larger businesses, small businesses are being hamstring by not being able to have real reviews by customers that they contacted through the business app. The policies state that businesses are not able to ask for reviews due to many reasons that I agree with however when I received unsolicited reviews from clients that I met from purchasing ads, the app remove them from my page. How in the world do you expect to become reputable or to compete against larger businesses if you’re legitimate efforts to create legitimacy are being thwarted by yelps automated system. After purchasing ads, I have had plenty of clicks on my page and inquiries leading me to booking a few events for profitable margins. I did have to sort through a ton of window shoppers, unresponsive, and Inconsistent leads to be able to have a few solid customers. All in all, I will be giving Yelp more of my time and investing more and ads to see if this will be a fruitful venture..Dj L CeeVersion: 24.46.0
Small business reviewThis app is a waste of money for any small business owners. I have had nothing but bad experiences using Yelp ads and wasted more money than I was making for too long. If you want anything besides having the name of your business and some pictures on your Yelp page they will charge you for it or have you sign up for the monthly payments for each addition and give you no updates on your total until they charge you. I’m a booth rent barber and I use multiple sources of advertisements and whenever I get someone new I ask them how they found me and throughout the past month I had no one tell me they found me from Yelp despite my Yelp ad and I was charged $285 🤷♂️ That’s after I updated my page posted current photos of my work. Before working at the shop I’m at currently I had a previous page that I started with Yelp credit that I got when I ordered business cards and it was all the same experience. Once the Yelp credit runs out they will begin adding up how much they will charge you at the end of the month with no notice. You are much better off using google ads, or promoting your work on Instagram or Facebook ads..Terrible app, money pitVersion: 22.5.0
Disappointed in Yelp’s Fairness and Filtering SystemI’m extremely disappointed in Yelp’s treatment of small businesses. Not only are they filtering out legitimate 5-star reviews from actual customers I’ve personally worked with, but they’re allowing a completely false and malicious 1-star review from someone who never even received service. I’ve reached out multiple times about this and haven’t received a single response. On top of that, I was told during my onboarding call that I wouldn’t be charged until the end of the month — yet they’ve been repeatedly charging my card without warning: $60 here, $50 there, every few days. When I called to address it, they told me there was a “threshold system,” something that was never mentioned in the original conversation. They said they’d fix it and adjust billing to end-of-month — but the charges kept coming. This platform is hurting hard-working, honest businesses. Real reviews get buried while damaging, false reviews stay up. There’s no communication, no transparency, and no accountability. Yelp is not on the side of small businesses, and I would strongly caution others before trusting them with your money or your reputation..Bayside Power Washing ProsVersion: 25.28.0
App works 75% of the time but Yelp doesn’t deserve my moneyYelp doesn’t deserve one penny of my advertising dollars. When you default every excuse to “because of our algorithm” - which is proprietary and built by you - is just a cop-out. If any customer takes the time to go to Yelp, create an account and leave a review then their experience should be worth something! By filtering out that person’s review Yelp has told them they are not worthy and their opinion and experience isn’t good enough. How do you expect to gain more users if you don’t let people start somewhere? And you’re punishing the businesses - who are PAYING YOUR BILLS in the process!! I will not spend one more cent on Yelp, since your “algorithm” decided to filter out all my positive reviews and leave the negative ones. I will deter everyone I possibly can to avoid Yelp both as a customer and a business. We should not have to spend thousands of dollars - with zero return on investment. I have not gotten any jobs from “we found you on Yelp”. They did find us on other sites and search engines - which don’t filter reviews and have a much more affordable (often free & organic) method for business advertising..Pissed_off_drivers_everywhereVersion: 22.9.0
Zero stars if I could leave it!!!!Yelp is a JOKE! I’m a small business owner, who just signed up with Yelp, two months ago. Since opening I have received a total of less than 10 reviews all from customers who have came in the store, met me personally, and made purchases. After consistently, checking my yelp page I started noticing my reviews were disappearing until finally one morning. I woke up and seen every single review had been removed from my page. I contacted Yelp to find out that it is apparently a software program that they use that makes decisions on when to remove reviews. When I spoke with the representative, she said that because I had two reviews in the same week, it looks suspicious so the software program removed it and for me not to take it personally but yelp employees have been calling me nonstop about paying for advertising, and I have kindly declined each and every time. I’m sure this has to do with it 100%. Yelp is definitely not for the business owners. They only want your money and they try to bully you by making your page look like no one has come on just to get you to buy back those reviews. What a scam.!!!.Suzy0011Version: 24.9.0
ScamThis has been the worse experience I’ve ever had with an app. Once I created my account I revived a call from the yelp people begging me to make business with them. Explained multiple times I was 100% percent sure since I had to pay for leads. The called me everyday day multiples until I have in. They gave me a credit and told me that I didn’t have to worry about it. If I see the app want working for me I just have to call them before the credit runs out. Of course the app didn’t work for me just landed 2 clients in a month, made around 150 in total. I called the same guy who harassed me into becoming a member. This time he want nice at all he barely spoke to be an walked me through the steps in order to cancel the membership so I would get charged. I asked him multiple times if this was all I had to do and he in a bad mood said yes. 2 months later I received a charge for 71 and now a charge for 121. After 2 full months of not using yelp and after speaking a a representative to avoid of all of this. They are charging me for stuff I never used. Poor review resolutionYou seem to throw a blanket over review disputes and favor frequent reviewers (that often are completely besides themselves by things most don’t give a second thought to) and you offer little weight to real customers that go out of their way to write a review. You minimize infrequent reviewers when in reality, when you stimulate someone who often does not engage with review platforms and get a 5 star review, the business getting that review is doing pretty well to get that person to take action. Yet, Yelp minimizes their action and won’t recommend…all that ensure is that the individual writing the positive review won’t visit your platform again if they wish to share a review. It’s a mend-bending approach but Yelp continues to ride it while the wheels fall off. Bottom line is the way Yelp is set up, it doesn’t give an accurate portrayal of a business standing it actually distorts it and caters to negative review writers who seem to only gather the slight fill of daily joy from being dishonest and harmful. Anonymous posters? …don’t even have time to get into that one. Much is left to be desired Otherwise, keep up the good work!.TalkstraightWalkstraightVersion: 22.42.0
Run Away!!! This rating is really negative infinity stars!Yelp as well as their “Biz” app is just as horrible as all of the reviews say. They steal reviews, claim to have some algorithm that can tell real reviews from fake ones, but customers who leave multiple reviews on Yelp are listed as “not recommended” and hidden as well as overall rating affected if you do not advertise with them. It’s so obvious they lie because my one and only negative review was from a customer out of state and has only ever left one review (who goes out of state for 3D4D ultrasound of their baby?) Nice try Yelp! But explain why that review is still up, yet 80% of the rest of our (all 5 star reviews) are from real customers who have left numerous reviews, but those are in the “not recommended” section. If you are even thinking about getting involved with Yelp, I would strongly encourage you watch the documentary “Billion Dollar Bully” first. It’s time for Small businesses to organize another class Action lawsuit now that we have more proof! I will be throwing a huge party when Yelp finally goes out of business! WORST app for new users EVERPoor customer/business service. Every review you get they will shut down unless the person /client that is giving you a review has tons of previous reviews. Every other day they will turn off your messages so even tho you are paying lots of money to keep your business running and getting leads you won’t be able because for some reason they turned off your messages and if you don’t check every day you won’t notice. Called multiple times to fix it and after the fifth time I was so mad and ask for my money back and they came in with a solution of $300 in credit that I was using and when I checked my bill they were charging me double and some days triple for the same service. So if they give you credit trust me they will have this money back and if you don’t check again you won’t notice. What I know now is that I was paying more that I agreed with and was not getting leads to justify the amount I was paying for. Crock PotYelp seriously helps with nothing. If anything, listing your business hurts your business more than it help. And once you create your listing, you can’t delete it EVER unless you close your business permanately. Most of your organic reviews get flagged as “not recommended” for some reason, even if they are organic 5 star reviews. All of the “not recommended” reviews are visible solely as “not recommended reviews” to consumers making them look like they are actually bad reviews. They will call you constantly asking if you want to pay to sign up for things that won’t actually help your business AT ALL and won’t do anything to help you “grow” your business unless you sign up for a subscription to have one tiny little feature on your business listing that they are making look bad and won’t let you delete that literally effects nothing and no one. $85/year goes a long way with google advertising and google optimization. You can commit to spending $50/mo EASILY with yelp and it make ZERO difference in your online presence listerally AT ALL. NOONE HAS YELP. Out of all the people that send me business yelp is the worst. For one, I get notifications saying people have called my business when I received no calls. Also, I received (apparently) over 1000 clicks but got ZERO business from them. In total I’ve paid about $2000 in yelp advertising over 2 campaigns to yielded nothing. To give perspective, other people have sent me $30k in revenue with the same prices I advertise. It’s a complete waste of money. Furthermore, I only have 5 star reviews and work very hard for my small business. Out of the 52 five star reviews I’ve earned this year 45 of them are flagged even though they are genuine and true. That’s also very deflating. The reps are very good at sales and make you feel comfortable but are unreachable once you purchase. If you are a business looking to download this app and looking to advertise go elsewhere. Trust me. In Hawai’i, it is a Mecca for sales and tourism and I can honestly tell you that yelp is the absolute worst scam out there!.Stylez_21Version: 24.51.0
Run away from this company! This company chargers you per click , anyone can click your ad and you will be charged each time it is clicked. They claim they have a fraud protection to avoid competitors from clicking your ad but they have no way of proving or showing their “protection”. Be prepared to have your “client success manager” pressure you to raise your ad budget every so often... These client success managers make more commission when you spend more on ads. The leads aren’t even that good you get a lot of people who don’t respond , seems like yelp has people going to your ads page and filling out the contact form with false info so your account gets charged and their client success managers get paid... On top of all this they nickel and dime you for everything. If you want to hide your competitors ads you pay, if you want to showcase your license and certifications on your page you pay, if you want to add a slideshow to your page you pay, if you want to highlight certain things about your business you pay... all they want is your money they don’t care about your results that’s why they charge you for clicks not for results or qualified leads...Read_between_the_linesVersion: 20.31.0
Don’t waste your timeI had a friend of time inform me that Yelp has been very successful for him so I decided to try it out for my garage door repair business. I had a customer find me and reach out via message (on Yelp) and it turned into a sale. She then proceeded to write me a 5 star review. Yelp has records of every single interaction I had with this customer, from the initial contact, to closing the sale. They can also see the same customer write me a good review. Why then, did this customer’s review, along with 4 other glowing and legitimate reviews, get moved to the “not recommended” section? Every single review my company has received has been moved to “not recommended”. There is no way to escalate the issue or reach out to anyone. I’m just supposed to sit here and take it? What is even the point of customers writing me a review if I know it’s never going to be seen by anyone? They say it’s an algorithm designed to remove bot reviews but every single one of mine has very clearly not been a bot. Don’t waste your time or money with this company. Completely ridiculous to not even have an escalation method for their insane algorithm..Robert quiqueVersion: 23.13.0
Noir Nail Salon OceansideFirst, I’d like to clarify this was the worst experience. I think I’ve ever experienced from any business. I had made an appointment to have gel ex fills and a pedicure from somebody that had recommended the salon. I was seated for my pedicure and that was going well. The nail tech comes over and start drilling my Nails. I show him a picture of what I’d like. He said we can’t do that. We must remove all your nails. I said I don’t want to remove my nails. It hurts and it cost more money. I have cuts on my cuticles. They argue that point with me. I said just square them off with a drill that’ll make me happy. It looks just like the picture so after five minutes of back-and-forth, they finally started drilling my nails. Then comes the gel x fills. So they come over with acrylic. I said I don’t want acrylic. I have gel X. They said you do not have gel X I have gel X I’ve had it for four months. They came over with acrylic powder and I said no I want the gel x. Here we go again they want me to do a brand new set. I just asked could you please fill my nails with gel X? Next thing you know, I have three nail tech standing in front of me as they left their client sitting in the chair, telling me I do not know what I’m talking about and for me to listen. The last time I went to a business they were supposed to do what I requested. I was completely harassed by three nail tech some of them claiming they were the manager. needless to say, I had to get out as quick as I could. so I left my boots there and my nails in complete disarray. I was looking forward to relaxing as I’ve been to work from 5 AM that morning. I have never encountered this disrespect, total rudeness and arguing with me. I wish there was something more that I could do to yelp this place else to have to go through it.Horrible NoirVersion: 25.47.0
Yelp businessWe are a cleaning company which decides to use Yelp platform for advertising, from the moment we signed up with them a costumer success manager was assigned to us which she called once and never heard from her for months, the way the account was set up was totally wrong, we would receive leads from costumer for services we don’t provide like carpet cleaning , windows exterior, rags and upholstery cleaning, even though these type of service weren’t added into our account but still were unable to remove them after serveral times we tried to, called a lot of times the costumer success and their answer was oh we can’t do that because it’s from the free listing request. Reviews were removed due to a software that doesn’t recommend reviews even though the costumer who hired us wanted to review us. On top of that 75% of the costumer who would contact us were fake , same name same address different leads. And the 25% was from the other companies asking how we are doing with Yelp and selling their services, very bad experience, thousands of dollars spent for nothing. Stay away from them..Mustafa 1991Version: 21.46.0

Terrible customer serviceThe gal on the phone started to yell over me asking when I asked for clarification over an email address I was trying to write down. My personal phone number was posted on a business listing that isn’t me and I was trying to get it taken down. They said they couldn’t I could contact a lawyer to do it. I said I would like to have it removed because of the security risk it posed to me personally having my phone number unauthorized online on a business listing. Then she got mad and slammed the phone down on me hanging up. It was very unprofessional and threatening by your customer service..Paula420420Version: 24.26.0
Terrible Rip off!!!Just got off the phone with Joana V. at yelp customer service and find myself shocked at very poor customer service! It turns out that Yelp has been charging us $ 398 PER MONTH for services we have not signed up for over the past 16 months. The total bill for these services is $ 6,400 ~ an incredible amount for marketing services that we never signed up for. But the lack of understanding and not even taking a moment to try to figure out how this mistake happened is beyond belief. It looks like we have been paying for extravagant slideshows and advanced marketing tools ~ without ever seeing any of it or even getting any results from this. Be very careful with the online platform that are «self served» ~ and be vigilant about Yelps billing practices!.RiverLady77Version: 19.47.0

No refund after explicitly being told no costI was offered 300$ free ad spend, so I spent it, got no leads. I was told once that 300$ bucks was gone I wouldn’t be charged more, I was, 150$ more. So over three months I got zero calls for 450$. And they didn’t refund. So that’s annoying. Customer service was friendly at least when they were telling me no refund. Yelp was never something I was interested in in the first place but I figured I’d give it a shot. I should have kept a closer eye on it I guess, but honestly I more or less forgot it existed since I wasn’t getting leads lol. Don’t do it..Bridgit27Version: 26.13.0
This is a scamThey mentioned they will give us a free trial to run ads. I gave it a go and barely got any results so I canceled it before the trial ends. Next month they charged me something for the free trial. When I checked the billing they don’t mention what they charged me for. Can’t contact customer support. And they make it impossible to remove your card. They charge you without clear disclosure. And you barely get results from Yelp. Worst customer support too. AVOID AT ALL COST. DisgracefulI’ve been a business owner on yelp since 2019. They’ve so far redacted 12 of my reviews which are all legitimate that I worked extremely hard for, in the bitter cold and extreme heat of Toronto. I’ve tried numerous times to get them to reenlist the reviews to no avail. Absolutely shameful business practices on their part. Right now my business is only showing 3 reviews, with one of them having 4 stars even though the client had nothing but praise to write. So it shows my rating at 4.7. I just got another review from a happy client today and that brought it up to 4.8. But I’m sure yelps genius software as they like to refer to will remove that one as well. 196 5 star reviews on google, all legitimate with no issues. Shame on you yelp!.WolfhaulVersion: 25.21.0

Horrible advertising serviceSo yelp business has a critic score they themselves apply about and to your account about your response time and quality of the responses, but they don’t allow you to have actual conversations with the clients. It’s all through a guided process where you can’t openly speak with clients. You have to set specific call times to orchestrate a call with clients (all controlled and specific times yelp suggests) and they don’t provide you easier means to communicate with potential leads. Due to their mediation landing jobs through their advertising is quite challenging. The clients reach out via “email” through their chat system and then never reply because I’m assuming it’s just as challenging on their end as it is on the business owners end. So I continued on for a few attempts through their chat system, not even one person replied to them! (Every potential lead I speak to on the phone or on my own accord I land as a job/repeat client) , their score is inaccurate and poorly accessed but they don’t take advice from clients. Ultimately for the sake of your business and if you’re not tech savvy I strongly suggest avoiding this platform. They will rank you poorly even though their vetting system is extremely bad and it reflects on your business. Once you ask to take your business down from their page, it’s not a possibility. USE GOOGLE ADS it’s much better for conversation with clients..CanadianExperienceVersion: 25.37.0
Reviews disappear when you stop payingThey moved all 6 reviews from my clients into “Not Recommended” as soon as I turned off advertising. Support refers to their “smart algorithms,” but that doesn’t help your business. Imagine: you build your reputation, and they can destroy it on their platform in a single day. Don’t waste your time on Yelp. Grow on Google Maps or Facebook, but definitely not here..Olegio888Version: 25.36.0

If I had known what kind of company it was, I would never have registered.I've been using this program for 4 months now, having taken a free subscription. It hasn't given me a single client. So I wanted to cancel it. But then something very interesting happened. I wrote to a lot of furniture companies that I needed to cancel my subscription, and they didn't respond. Then I looked for an opportunity in the app. But, just so you know, they removed this feature. All they have to do is call. I've called them 3 times already, they give me the same number and say to call there. They give me the same number again. So just so you know, never use their paid services. They also automatically activated the business assistance feature. Like, we'll make you a website, just pay us $100 a day, and we'll connect (Google) to your ads. To give you an idea, they called like spam every 3 hours and offered their services. If I had known what kind of company it was, I would never have registered..Maksym PopykVersion: 25.10.0
