A quick anatomy lesson: this app features ALL the bones and many landmarks, but in the bone section, there are only 53 bones listed.... aren't there 206 bones in the body? Most of the bones are bilateral... one on each side, so we don't quiz the right femur and left femur, this cuts the list down almost in half. Many bones are repeat... 12 ribs on each side, 10 distal phalanges, 10 proximal phalanges... When we take out all these repetitive bones, we are left with about 53 unique bones.... so please know that this app has been designed by experienced intelligent anatomists!

Good stuffI usually use the one picture option for the quizzes because the multiple pictures option makes it pretty easy to know what muscle is what. What I mean is that it’s too easy to differentiate what muscle is what or etc. but this app is good for getting to know the muscles and bones in a quick and easy fashion. I wouldn’t only use this as more pictures and stuff makes it better to understand, but definitely a good source to use..Version: 3.0
Great basic infoI’m enjoying the app. As a health science major some of the terminology doesn’t match the specific terms required. For example the app refers to the superior and inferior lobes of the lung as the “upper and lower lobes”of the lung (respectively). Blood vessels & nervous systems would be a great addition (particularly tracing how the blood flows from artery to artery or vein to vein)..Version: 3.0

Great study tool, would like an improvementI wish there was a way to view and edit what is on the favorites (it has the option to add what you missed in a session to go back to it). I also would like the possible answers to be closer to the possible answer so it is more challenging. Other than that it's great with general and some specific anatomy. Detailed like my undergrad A&P class. I love when I have the sound turned on. The noises make it fun to study.Version: 2.0.2
Just okayGraphics are good but its not very challenging. As an generic example they will ask you to pick out something on the foot and then show three pictures of the head and one of the foot, so it is obvious it is the foot picture even if you don't know the answer. When you get the answer right they out a huge blue check mark over the correct picture so you can't see it if you need to study it further. If you are wrong they blow up the correct picture so you can see it very well, which is good but they should do the same when you are right do you can cement and study it better. I would say the best way to use this app is to cover up the name of the structure at the top and name all four pictures out loud before you answer, otherwise you won't truly learn it..Version: 1.1
Ok but incompleteI'm not a medical student and am using this to learn parts of the body to be more informed since I don't remember anything from school. Although I recommend learning or relearning this information once a person gets any health challenges in life, just to know what's going on, I will look for a more thorough app. In the organ section, for example, you are shown organs but must assume what organ they are. So on a photo of a liver, it doesn't say "liver" so you must either already know or figure that out. Instead, it will say "left lobe" or point out parts of the liver assuming you already know it's the liver, heart, etc... Maybe an update could include that? I like the favorites option to relearn what I missed..Version: 2.0.2
Great anatomy appThis is a great app! It is a little basic, and as a health science student, I would like to see it have more questions and topics, but it is still very well worth the cost. It helped me quickly memorize the bones, muscles and organs when I was first starting out and now I am working on bone markings. I feel very confident about the memorization exams in my anatomy classes. It helps me keep the topics fresh in my mind. I play each quiz once a week to help me stay on top of things. BravovalentineThis app help me memorize the entire body In shorter time than I ever thought I could. I wish they had this ten years back. I have flash cards I never used that cost me 50 times this app. I never used them. I recommend this even if you don't like anatomy or struggle with it because its simple, fun and very addictive. Quick and efficientThe update is great! Even tho it would have helped me last semester, it's an awesome improvement. Another improvement I would like to see is a section on the blood vessels. Exactly what we wantedMy son is in hs anatomy & we have been doing flashcards & making our own tests. Wish I had my iPad & this app @ the beginning of the year. Now he can see the body part & test himself. The encouraging words were a nice surprise touch. We tested a couple other apps but none were as good as this. Best overall anatomy appBest anatomy app out there by far. Particularly for bones, muscles, and muscle function. The muscle function component of the muscle app I found especially useful. Shows the motion with list of muscles involved. Click the muscle, brings up pic, click info and brings up listed functions, attachments, and nerve innervations. Offers what I was looking forI needed an app that I could use in conjunction with the anatomy class I was taking. I was hoping to find one that quizzed my on the major parts of the body AND more importantly the smaller parts (processes, condyles, and the like). Informative & accurateOverall a good app. However, the amount is limited, of the 99 questions on the full body you only see approx. 170 of the 206 bones in the human skeleton. If it went through the entire body it would get a full 5-stars..Version: 2.0

A fun way to learn basic anatomyAnatomy Quiz quickly became my primary tool for learning basic anatomy. I am currently studying to receive certification as a personal trainer and I needed a way to learn and review muscles, bones and organs. Good but a little basic, and no sound controlGreat interface, but a little too basic. The multiple choice feature should have difficultly settings. If the bone is part of the skull and three of the options are foot bones, I don't really need to know the skull bone in order to get that question right. Also, there is no way to silence the bell for correct answers. Not really convenient if I don't want to keep my phone on silent..Version: 2.0.1
DPT student using for schoolVery fun and good basic learning tool, but could/should be more challenging... i.e. make the image choices more "similar," instead of having most of the choices be so obviously different from one another (so it's quite easy to decide on the right answer as long as you basically know the structures). What a huge helpI am very much a tactile/kinesthetic learner and with anatomy, if you do not have access to the bones, you are in trouble. This app helps alleviate some of that burden. Best anatomy reviewThis program is by far the best app for reviewing anatomy. Need to break up the sections of the spine skull and hip in the skeletal section. Great for quizzing, not for learningIt's a wonderful app and I so recommended it at how cheap it is. Clear pictures and everything. But I wish they had more options as far as just studying the body parts BEFORE you quiz yourself.
