I love this App! I’m in my 60s and have been using this App for years to understand which muscle or bone or lymph node the Drs are talking about when they diagnose all my injuries or ailments. I’ve had to have physical therapy five different times to recover from surgery or injuries or pulled muscles or whatever. This App really helps me isolate exactly what’s wrong or precisely what muscle I should be using (or resting) to recover as fast as possible. It has also been helpful for me to understand what injuries friends are recovering from. Love the movement videos.

Extremely useful! Need to explain an injury or accident to your doctor in words they completely get? Use this. I have been for years, with multiple injuries myself and a pain patient, it's very useful. Easy way to really get to know your body in extreme detail. I'd get it, especially if I didnt understand medical terminology. Great way to learn it. I got it because I was tired of just talking to my doctors and getting discounted because you cannot see broken bones in the drs. Office, this gives you the tools you need

I’ve used this app a hundred times if I’ve used it once. I have a complex series of health problems and I’ve had a lot of injuries. This app helps me to understand and visualize what has happened when I’m injured and it helps me talk to my doctor about them. I have also learned a lot about anatomy from studying this app. The one thing I’d like to see more in depth illustrations of is the nerves, to help me trace the nerve pathways through the arms and legs and see where they originate.

This remarkable app unlocks body knowledge through stunning visuals, showing how systems function for better self-care. It helped me pinpoint muscle issues and ease my partner’s lower back pain, plus deepened my lymphatic system understanding among others. You can even remove layers of muscles to see what’s below the surface. I understand myself much better now and treat my body slightly differently.

Wow... that escalated quickly! Exactly what I was looking for to assist with an accredited CPT program. As soon as I opened the full version, I was blown away. And the price tag was exponentially more appealing than it's competitors, with their "in-app purchases". All parts are quickly searchable, and one can both quickly and easily navigate through systems. The animated muscle action examples are amazing, as well, but primary function could be 'highlighted' in some way.

My husband used the app first while he was working to get his EMT certificationand had great success! Myself, as a massage therapist, I call on the app all the time. I wish I had it when I was in school, honestly. Because it shows visuals of the muscles functions- it’s a great tool for the client and I are to pin down the root of the problem together. Absolutely worth purchasing!

The Visual Anatomy app is a wonderful addition to the strength training professional’s tool belt. Anyone interested in developing their muscular anatomy should purchase this app. Having an understanding of the musculoskeletal system enhances one’s training and physical development. This app provides a comprehensive view of the muscular anatomy (and other bodily systems) that all strength training practitioners should have to improve their craft.

I’m going to be using this to pass my biology class. I wish it had a little more points on the bones because I have to know each individual part and I wish it had diagrams of the skin and tissues since I need those as well. Other than that I can use the diagrams provided and the quizzes. The muscle section is going to be great. Definitely a more extensive and helpful app than the free version.

Extremely informative. Breaks down every body part into detail. What I love most is that it gives you the short version of what an organ does and it also gives you a very detailed version. I love the quizzes and how they’re broken up into different sections. The design of how the skeleton is made is also very precise. Definitely recommend

I really love this app. It is clear and easy to use. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that when I leave one page and then go back it didn’t stay where I left it and I have to “start all over” every time I switch from one section to another. Other than that, I think this will be helpful to people with many levels of understanding. I suspect Grey’s Anatomy won’t be coming off the shelf much anymore.

I agree with other reviews given, that the app needs some work but I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. I am taking Anatomy & Physiology I online this semester and I needed an app that I could study anywhere because I work 2 jobs as well. During the slow times at my catering job this works great, especially for the money. I would be willing to pay more if it had more information, better quizzes, etc.

I like the app shows how each muscles moving, giving a good visual impression to learn. Hope the app can show more detailed muscles and can be viewed from the top of the head as well. ( it’s hard to rotate the model to see from the top of the head, when you trying to learn the muscles in the shoulder area). But over all it’s a good learning tool. Thank you!

My background is OT but have been doing therapy reviews for different insurance companies for the last 21 years The app has been great for a quick reference when I am reviewing therapy cases. It takes the place of cumbersome anatomy books I used have to use. It is my review companion. Wish is had been around when I was treating patients

I’m a family physician who’s been in practice for 40 years. I use this app to both help me remember anatomy when dictating notes and to quickly show patients internal anatomy such as cardiac structures when I’m doing patient education. Extremely useful and accurate.

I have really been enjoying this app! I got ripped off by another REALLY expensive app a few months back ($50/year) and was not enthusiastic about this app, BUT I am VERY pleased w/ all the features has! It has been such a great tool to use to learn/refresh your anatomy! I really encourage others to give it a chance, it’s very worth it :))))!!!

I enjoy the detail of this app however do wish I had 360 degree control especially with the hand. I would like to view the hand fingertips superior oriented instead of inferior. The addition of Mnemonics to assist in memorizing for instance the order of the carpal bones.

Had this about a year now. As a massage therapist it’s a wonderful quick reference guide to help me assess my clients. Gives all the info I need and I love that it not only gives the origin, insertion and action but a visual of the action(s) of the muscle. Bonus: includes all body systems-skeleton, nerves, circulatory, etc.

This app is wonderful I like how it not only tells you what each part is but it says it for you along with a definition and location in the body. I also like how it has quizzes. I think more anatomy and physiology instructors need to inform students of this.

I had this app years ago, while I was in school, and it was great, then. I redownloaded it recently, and it’s even better, with a greatly expanded library, and excellent interaction. Great for folks learning anatomy as well as for use as a reference.

As an RN, I have found this application just great for increasing my understanding of my hip and ipsolateral bursiti (hey, it’s Latin, right, so I used “bursuti” as the plural). The way the view of muscles and their attachments can rotate is just fabulous. My only problem is that I can’t seem to get to the names of the muscles.

I teach anatomy and physiology in high school and this app is marvelous. The kids think it's cool, I think it's cool, and they are always coming up and showing me something that isn't in the book and where it is on their body, which I love!!!

I am a professional body worker & use this app to keep my knowledge of muscles & their movements in ship-shop-shape. I also enjoy showing it to clients to help them see visually what might be going on with their bodies. I've used this app for years & have been super happy with it.

The app is very helpful when you have a big anatomy exam coming up and need to review while you’re away from your books. I used this app while I was out and about to help me get all the muscles down and the nerves as well. I’d like to see the app revamped as far as the presentation of it goes, but other that it’s great.

This has been a great tool so that I can visualize what my doctor is telling me is going on in my shoulder. I highly recommend getting this if you have any sort of joint surgery coming up.

I use this app almost every day as I interact with clients as a personal trainer. Showing my client the muscle location and what it does is really helps them understand why we are doing an exercise.

Really nice to study with while in a bus, waiting room, or during commercials. Gives in depth detail of muscle and provides origin, insertion, action, and visual aide for function. Covers several other body systems as well: endocrine, respiratory, and eye/ear.

Often as I work out I have muscle pain in different areas. This is a great app to see what connects and where so I can better understand the activity that's causing the discomfort. The only issue I have is the 3D models are a bit limited in their rotation. Still a good app overall.

This app has helped me to identify muscle, bone and nerves too many times to remember. I recommend it to practitioners of a variety of disciplines on a regular basis. This is probably the most useful app I’ve ever installed.

I have found this really helpful in studying for my anatomy lab. The muscles are the only ones I have used this with but wish I had found it for the bones for my last test.

A great database for raw information and the making of flash cards (especially for the muscles!). Only complaint is that the angles to view the body are preset so you can't rotate the body little by little to get the best view of some muscle groups.

I'm finding myself browsing this app whenever I have a few minutes to kill--I'm a fitness enthusiast and I'm learning a ton about my body this way. Only thing I'd change is the graphics are a bit dated--feels like an iOS 5.0 app.

This is a great app missing one star because the explanations are a bit terse. But the app is well worth it if you use the anatomy often and also is you’re interested in learning

When I am charting and this app is of great help as a quick visual and I can write a quality note including specific muscle versus just saying back pain!

My go to anatomy app going on ten years. Every time I need to reference a muscle or it’s attachments VisAnatomy makes it fast and clear.

This app helps me recover from Past injuries because I can see what and how the muscles works which aids my workout movements!

This is the best app I’ve ever paid for & worth every cent. I bought it as a student and it made studying for anatomy and kinesiology so much easier. To this day, it’s a helpful reference. 👍👍

Have been able to locate muscles that are sore and treat them eg. piriformis which can press on the sciatic nerve.

I love to scroll through all the bones and muscles. My long-term goal is to memorize a few sections - but since I’m no doctor, that may take a while ! Julie

I’m a fitness professional and I find it useful in aiding my analysis of what’s going on with clients who are having some variation of movement dysfunction, especially when they present with pain. It’s also a great refresher when studying new topics as I’m constantly upgrading my skill set. The only thing so far that I’ve found missing is the muscles if the pelvic floor. Put those in and this will go from a really good app to an exceptional one.

Very useful as a refresher or for patient teaching.

I just started using the app, and so far my only complaint is that they show "thigh extension at the hip" as flexion. And maybe they mean to show it as coming from thigh flexion at the hip into extension, but they're stopping at anatomical position. Technically that's not extension. Other than that, no complaints!

I found the app very useful as an assist to my anatomy studies. Some elements missing but still overall very useful.

When I need to show clients what's happening in their body this app is my go to. Also great for an anatomy refresher!

This program was very helpful and the interactive focus was great for the course I am working through.

Great for basic anatomy. Very easy to study off of.

I’ve had this app for about a day now, and I really find it quite extensive. Popping from one section of the body to another is simple, but there are a lot of things that could be fixed. First and foremost: why is the 3D mode so tacky and hard to handle? Every time I try to rotate when zoomed in, the program automatically zooms back out; so frustrating! Another thing: why can’t I look from every angle without having to change between different rations? (Please make the viewing angles 360 degrees). One thing that bothers me is the inability to remove body parts. Also, please improve the definition! There’s so little detail when zooming in. I’d like to see and understand the small areas and surfaces of the body (ramus parts, epicondyles, foremen, surfaces based on direction in the body, and so on). If there was a fix for these things, I would appreciate the app a lot more. Even if the app costs an extra couple dollars to upgrade, I, and I’m sure others, would be more than happy to pay the premium. All in all, this is a good app for the money, I would just like some polishing and refinement to make this app’s experience so much more enjoyable and satisfying. Thank you

Full version does have more features, but sometimes the demonstration videos don’t work so I have to close the app and open it again. That gets annoying and inconvenient. Please fix this glitch. I will leave 5 stars after this issue is completely fixed. Overall, it’s a good app to help with Anatomy and Physio classes.

Got double charged

Very little information in this app . Just some.basic knowledge about where liver is or where stomach is .. this app is good for children between 3 - 9 . For advanced Learner( high school or university student ) I would recommend you pay more money to purchase better APP

Very little information in this app. The 3D model is completely useless. Theres better free ones online. This app isn’t worth the money.

The graphics are sub-par compared to some apps... I kind of want my money back as I've seen about five really simple typos in the anatomy quizzes and it's incredibly unprofessional for a medical studying tool.

There are many incorrect pronunciations especially by the female voice. For example the sternothyroid is properly pronounced as Sterno Thyroid like 2 words. The sterno tells you the position and thyroid is the part. The female voice combines it as a single word using English word rules, so it sounds like sternoth yroid. Which is incorrect. I noticed it many times. Mostly by the female voice. Erector spinae is "speye nee". Masseter deep is mass e (short e not long e)ter Like etter not eater Just listen carefully and you will figure things out. Giving it 3 stars because of pronunciation issues otherwise it's awesome.

This app constantly goes blank (white screen) when u click on a blue arrow on the diagrams. When u touch the blue arrow for a more detailed description of the organ it goes to a description then the screen goes white. Don't waste your money on this one.
