Just got the app. TL:DR; good app for beginners and experienced collectors, solid interface, identifies if your card is uncommon/rare, saved cards collection doesn’t sort by rarity or let you make specific albums - 10/10 if that issue gets fixed. First, very solid user interface: easy to use, simple, direct. A toddler could use it. Anyone looking for an easy to use card scanning app would probably agree. Taking pictures: easy, simple, no need to upload the back of a card (I don’t want to remove my cards from their binders). Not sure about the pricing feature, some cards I know have high value show as about 20-30% under value. Conservative, but not bad. It compensates by adding a “rarity” estimate that makes potential valuable cards easier to spot. Card Collection: solid, easy to use. A couple things could be added to retain customer use of the app though. There is no option to save specific cards to a specific album / option to sort card collection in order of rarity. This makes organizing a collection particularly difficult. Experienced collectors, beginners, and your average joes going through grandpa’s collection are going to want to sort their cards by rarity. Overall, solid app and would recommend - please add more options in the collection feature.
Seems Lagit . I rather use this by the numbers it’s been given me on prices , and a nice way to organize . . Kinda like a final price point average based on a ai ,,, a ai ,,,,, generated search . Just like google , , so it’s fair with what I never would have expected and left some hot card that are popular marked without popularity tax . So if let people work the system that makes you money they may look into buying something you are pitching ,regardless of the money you are already collecting having us use your services. Can’t use it if it’s not at least some what accurate . So we will see ,,,for now it’s a 5 star , if one of these bangers comes back graded that I found with this app . Just started using itv. So 80 days till we see if this app can at least qualify Lagit cards ,,, but we have some slabs in the mail .
This app has so much diversity from the competition, and has a lot of potential to become something spectacular. The only problem I have is that there’s certain cards that wont pick up half to three quarters of the time, and sometimes not at all. such as mini cards, numbered cards, unlicensed cards, and cards that look like base. Again I love this app so much!!! Which makes it even more frustrating that I can’t add certain cards to my collection because it tells me it’s something completely different. I hope they will fix this issue because I would hate to leave this app!!! 😁🙏
This has been an awesome app and super efficient for a ton of cards. There’s a couple things I want to recommend for card collectors, I wish you could do an album of collections so you are not bound to one folder. Maybe that’s part of the gold version but idk. The last thing is to compare to other sellers, ik it would cost a bunch of money but it really would add that reliability measure that’s currently not there. Overall, I do like this app and the fact that you don’t have to pay to find card worth.
Very intuitive interface with nice and simple image framing. Card values can occasionally be vague but it returns quickly unlike many others I have tried. Overall, card recognition is very fast and spot on, misidentifying the color of corresponding parallel being the occasional outlier. Subscription pricing is also very reasonable comparatively speaking. I’m < 2 hours in, but I definitely like what I see so far. I have tried several others that were much less refined for considerably more money.

I love StarSnap it’s the best card app I have and I just love everything about it it’s just great if you are reading this the owner of StarSnap I love you so much and thank you so much for this app it’s the greatest ever more people should use this more often and the prices are very low for the subscriptions a month is only for 99 cents so cheap! Rn I have a $692 dollar collection! And again thank you owner of StarSnap and the people that helped you are great too. I wish I was the owner it would be great ! The End! Bye luv the app too.
This app was an amazing for me. I scanned my NBA basketball card Kobe Bryant and it was 100 all the way to 300 and I almost had a $1000 card so close it was so rare and it’s just really fun and it can like help you understand the card that tells you all about it if you click card, you better download this app that’s why you love it. It’s totally free no one subscription. It’s just free to pay it to scan your card super easy and it’s super reliable.
This app is THE BEST way better than any of the competition. I don’t understand why people even waste their time with the other ones. I can’t even get any of the other apps to scan and recognize the cards correctly whereas this app always instantly gets it right. I just deleted all the other apps because I was so annoyed and frustrated with them never identifying properly.!!
I bought a $25 dollar binder of cards at a yard sale this summer. This app allowed me to find out that it was worth nearly $1000! I didn’t even need to spend any money on a subscription! One of the best card value apps ever! I would definitely recommend. I love how you can completely track your collection and be able to view your number of cards, total value, and every player that you own.
I really like the app it’s better than eBay because it just does sports cards I even use it for Pokémon and it does great. I think it should maybe have a feature that has a search bar to just so you may not have to take a picture because I know I’m not could at taking the pictures and sometimes it takes a little bit of try’s to take it. Just a suggestion.
This app is slick. About 1 in every 30 cards is mis-ID’d, but it’s pretty obvious when that happens. Super fast and has the feel of an app that’s getting better and better every day. I also really appreciate that they sent me a reminder that my free trial was ending. In a world of gotcha subscriptions, this was classy. I will happily pay for it when I’ve got more time to comb through the collection
This app is so good. It tells you the right values and the right money I use this app every day. I want to scan a baseball card football card basketball card or any sports card I want I would use this app. If I could give it a 10 out of 10, I would that’s how great it is. And I’m never going back to PSA ever except for other cards. Not sports cards but here sports cards stay.
Love the app just wonder about the price or value guide portion as it seems really high on some and low on other. Also a note; it will misidentify cards sometimes and it will take a few times to get it right. Overall I like the app and how it works and the features are worth it compared to others.
Very clean and easy to use, it does occasionally have identification issues especially with older cards (if it at any point the card had a reprint it will assume it was a reprint first) my Bart Starr rookie took for ever to scan as a 1957, and then it still said it was $4 instead of the $300-$1200 range I get every where else. But all these things can get improved on and I will be recommending this app to fellow card collectors
I like the app, it’s really good because no other apps really just give you the prices, a lot of of the other apps only give you a couple times to scan your card to see what it’s worth and then charging you money and this app doesn’t and I really enjoy this app because you can also add to collection and see what all the cards are worth or just the cards you want to keep track of. I love this app.
I like a lot about this app, organization and stats… the only issue I see is that there are a lot of misidentification of cards, for example saying a card is red dot, gold, or autographed when it clearly isn’t. We had a card that the app said was $300 but was really about $1.5… so this may not be a serious collectors tool but my six year old son and I are still liking the app and its other features!
Values listed are far higher than values I have found other places, but app is easy to use and customer service and feedback is great. Just don’t get your hopes up with the high values. The cataloging option of your cards is nice to keep a handle on what you have in your collection.
This is a great app it lets you take pictures of the back and front, provides accurate prices, and good information of why the price is that price, and provides the accurate condition but, when I take a picture of my card and it’s in frame it shows me a picture of something else. It also has something like ChatGPT but, it’s for card information.
Ive been loving this app, paid for its gold version, and its a great way to track your collection. However I would love to see this feature where if it gets something wrong you can change it or add attributes on it. It should automatically update the price based on the changes you made too. But overall, thanks for this app, its amazing.
Only leaving this review bc yall keep spamming me to leave one every time I try to add a new card to the collection 🙄. The app is good so far, only my 2nd day using it. Im not a fan of how long it takes to go through each card and take a pic of each individual one, bc my collection is extensive, BUT it’s fine I guess.
I’m not into cards but I’m a reseller and found a whole bunch at a garage sale. Aight his app I’ve been able to sort out what I got and price the items instead of going to a shop or using some of these other platforms that require me to send them the card and pay upfront for things.
I can’t complain much about this app it works well it’s user friendly. Has room to grow and the app has some real promise if it can adapt. If I gave any constructive criticism would only be a way to either connect this app to a capability to sell cards or trade cards would make this app above and beyond. or quite honestly make this app a social capability to trade or find cards.
This is one of my sons and I favorite apps now. We are getting into cards and this helps us get an idea of the value of our cards. It’s funny watching my boys snap the same cards over and over again trying to see if they can get a higher value for their cards. Thanks starsnap for an awesome app.
It helps me understand how much my football like my sports cards are and it just helps me so much and it makes like it understands how much they really cost cause they could cost like cause I could think they cost really much but then they cost like three dollars or something so get this app. It’s really good.
Excuse me, I have a question. I love your app, but I was wondering why if I scan the same Pokémon cards they have same prices they have the same date Pokémon Ivy all of that but they have sometimes they have different prices so I’m just wondering question five star app still love it. I’m just have a question.
I like this app because it tells how much the card is the only thing I don’t like about the app is that it sometimes give them money but I press the X and it works, but sometimes it tells wrong answers how much the value is and it’s just good to have this app💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Everything works right, i have 3x3 binders of cards id love to be able to scan multiples i know its possible bit it would just take a little work. ill hold off on scanning until we can get this feature implemented.
I like that it gives you a real value and it search it global for the correct value of that card when other shops to just tell you it’s only a two dollar card like this app give you correct value
I like the app overall as it’s simple and easy to use however, it seems to scan the same card multiple times and give it different values each time. I wish the app was more consistent and allowed me to make edits directly in the app on the grade instantly rather than it just adding a upper down arrow.
So far I love the app, it’s pretty accurate, only two downfalls, first, it’s iffy with numbered cards, it either will not recognize it’s a numbered card or it’ll have a card that’s not numbered and number it. Second downfall is, why can’t we send our collection in a READ ONLY format to show collections and allow people to browse for sales.
This app is great for cataloging. Missed a few prices on some of my cards but they also are brand new players. One card did get miss identified but overall this app is perfect for this beginner to catalog what I have so later I can make deals when I start to sell.
I like it
I love it I can’t really explain how good it is
Wow, cette application est géniale! Il savent tout de suite qu’elle est le joueur indiqué sur la carte et donne un prix très raisonnable!!!
It recognizes all cards even with a bad pic
Amazing!!!
Amazing app and very easy to use. Simply scan the card and track its value, find a buyer and take fam on a vacation
Its a good app to scan hockey cards. Some won’t show a value
Not a bad app could be a little more organized but that could just be my opinion otherwise great app
So far so good. Identities and provides a rough estimate.
New York Rangers
Really good for scanning cards. Prices are a bit off from what is seen online. Unfortunately there is no way of organizing cards in to sections/ sub sections after scan. Would really like to see a feature that allows the availability to compare cards prices to other cards being sold. Over all it’s a really helpful app for beginners looking to get a standard online grading. (Selected 0.99c monthly)
Identifies really well and gives good round ball prices.!! Five stars.!!
I wish you could also sell and buy cards on the app
Pretty good so far.
Awesome, easy to use. Great app!!!
I like it W in chat
Great
Stop pestering me with your ads
It’s good, I like it quite a bit.
24 hrs in the free trial and I am impressed! Please consider adding the option of creating more than one album (if it’s not already in the paid subscription) Very easy to use, nice card dashboard, no clutter!
Unbelievable app. Has it’s hiccups but it all, it’s AMAZING!! The description and accuracy is spot on. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed! 👍👍++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++
Enjoyable and easy to check
Helped me a lot
Works great
Makes finding values of cards super easy and quick
Popping
This app gave me a lot of money and helped of collecting next level
Great app!!!!
This game has no ads, and I love to scan the cards this game gets five stars all day
Takes a while to scan one at a time
J’aime bien ça parce que on peut s’avoir le prix d’un carte de hockey
Man what a time saver. It works!
StarSnap: Sports Card Scanner Negative Reviews and Ratings
The app has a lot of difficulty recognizing limited numbered cards, for example, 4/50, and sometimes scans a card as a limited parallel which gets your hopes up when you see your card as a $300 card only to discover that it appraised it as a limited parallel. Also, I am a paying customer, so after each card is added it asks you to rate the app. I click dismiss because I just began using it, so when it gives the option for not now, that means I haven’t used it enough to make an accurate rating. However, after each and every card is scanned it continues to ask you to rate it. I am already paying for the app, so STOP ASKING! This is freaking annoying as heck! It’s like my kid asking for something, I say not now, and they immediately ask “How about now?” So, this is me saying No, stop asking!
If you need to identify your cards with accuracy this is not the app for you. If you are just trying to have a record of what you have then this will work. 20 baseball cards in a row and not one of them was identified correctly. It does a little better with football cards and has better accuracy there. Doesn’t pick up many of the foils and numbered cards very well. It values a Dillon Gabriel base card at $150 no matter what you do. I wish I had used a different app but I was 1500 cards in before I got really frustrated with it. Kind of stuck with it now. They need to improve in a lot of ways. Would not recommend to anyone.
StarSnap is a decent scanner and gets the older cards correct most of the time. With that being said, if you try anything from 2010 or later, don’t get excited if it tells you your card is worth a lot because it’s way more often than not, wrong! You take a picture of the front of the card, turn it over and take a picture of the back. The back of the card has the actual card number on it and the app still gets it wrong. Example: 2025 Rich Gannon, QB, Raiders- Donruss Optic card #141 comes back as A Rich Gannon Donruss #201. I have so many instances of incorrect cards and not 1 response to an “Incorrect Identification report!” COME ON StarSnap! Fix it!
Tried to cancel the 7 day free trial on day 8 as I had forgotten about it. Have written 2 emails through customer support and neither of those have been answered. Used the app a few times during the free 7 day period on my 1965 topps baseball cards and they would give wrong info on multiple cards. Called Clemente, Yaz and McCovey 1972’s, Mays and Tiant were labeled 1971’s and Brooks and Frank Robinson were both labeled 1966. The 65 Mantle was called a 1969. Wrote in on a few of these with no response of fixes. So 8 of the 16 scans I did were wrong in the app. That is why I wanted to cancel the account. Just want others to be informed before they put their money into this shoddy app
Great way to compile a digital card catalog but this app is so far away from being able to get accurate comps especially of variants. It can tell a difference in value from green, blue white diamond or orange. Has no clue of what Rookie values, game worn vs. player worn, patches autos etc even are. I put a list together of about $2,000 in cards and was told I had over 10k. You got a lot of work to do to bring this app into reality. Had one card that was worth $50 and it’s telling me its value is $2350. Just because it was a player worn auto does not make this that valuable mint condition or not. Hope on day soon this app is even remotely accurate as it is easy to use.
I like the site it gives you a rough estimate of what your collection could be worth. However the site has a lot of room for growth. The majority of cards are incorrectly identified with either the wrong number or the wrong person. The site doesn’t show serial numbered cards like 1 of 1. Some of the cards it says is numbered and it is not. Last thing the pad site is not different from the free site. If you could search through cards with year and number instead a number and a prayer it would be better.
Identification is good great idea great to organize your collection there are a few different bugs to work out but all in all it’s a great little tool that’s a great way for people who don’t have any idea who the players are but want to be involved in collecting because of someone that the love is just crazy about the game and collecting the cards and have also hit unbelievable clearance sale on the packs which both of those things are my experiences, so thank you!
I tried to give the app time to fix the issues but seems like it got worst. Signed up in Nov 2025 and just cancelled the subscription. Stuck with it until November 2026, hopefully it gets better during that time. Since adding the ability to scan the back I’ve gotten more miss identified cards. Tested it by scanning previously correctly identified cards and it now gives the wrong player a card number. Now I just scanned a 72/99 autographed rookie card multiple times and can’t catch the autograph or /99. Very disappointed seems like it was more accurate before the updates.
The app makes it easy to scan cards and add them to your collection, and the scan seems to accurately identify the specific card >90%. But the value given to a scanned card (which is my main purpose for using this app) is shaky at best. Sometimes the valuation ranges are laughably large, and even those large scales aren’t as accurate as I hoped considering this being a subscription model. There aren’t any references nor examples listed to back up the valuations either.
First I do like the app. But there are a few things that annoy me. The first is the app insist I do a review after every card scan. Fine I'll do your review. Second. It doesn't tell me how many of a card I have. It just adds another into the collection. How does that help, I'd like to know how many of a card I have. Third the collection needs a sorting feature. Why doesn't it have one. It's 2026. I hag this for a month. If they fix the collection issues I will stay. If they don't I'll look for an app that has basic functions like SORT.
Helps me see how much my cards are and the conditions of the cards it also has a digital collection helping me see all my cards in one spot because my cards are everywere but I don't like how it doesn't show how much people would pay for it if I sold it. It should have it. It should also show the conditions of the card instead of me haveing to pick the conditions of the cared when I don't know. Fix the app or I'm definitely not getting it ever again. Just kidding.
I like the “collection” feature a the overall layout of the UI. However, today the app started asking me to leave a review after every single card I scanned in. It was very frustrating to attempt to value hundreds of cards when after every single one I’m being asked to leave a review. Anyways, mostly good just some issues correlating the correct card to the picture
The app is easy to use, until it identifies your card incorrectly … which it does OFTEN. There is no way to correct the bad identification, and rescanning over and over again ends using different backgrounds had mixed results. However, I appreciate that it’s cheaper than others, but this also means it doesn’t offer as much. If you have a large collection, don’t use this. If your collection isn’t too big, DO use this.
The prices are off and gives bad cards worth like 2 dollars a 100 dollar rating and a good condition card is apparently bad but the app is amazing for sorting your cards in an app for later years to come if you want to start a card collection then this app would not be good for getting prices but for sorting your history but I recommend that you get another app to see price listings like the app I use called rare candy with allowing way more freedom in listings of prices! BYE!
Of the cards I have scanned so far, none have been accurate. It frustrating that there is t a way to manually enter a card or at least better identify what the card is (especially if I know what it is). I would also love to be able to tview all available cards of a player and track the cards I have collected of that player. It would also let me see which ones I still need to collect.
The first two cards I snapped gave me the wrong player. For example, my Jose Ramirez /25 was coming back as an Oswald Peraza /40. On the ones I was able to correctly identify, the values are all over the place. One card I bought on eBay for $300 they valued between $10k-25k. I wish that were true but it isn’t. A nice addition would be to know what comps they are using to derive values. The app had potential but certainly not worth a paid subscription at this point.
Card values are not accurate, but generally the app gets the player, if not the exact card or variation, correct. Good app if you just want a visual record, by player, of the cards you have. Hopefully at some point the flaws will be improved. Still it works better for what I want to do, at a better price, than the other products available.
The app itself does the job we were looking for it to do which was manage our cards and be able to look at them all in one place easily. However it make you wait between every card then decide to add to the collection. Now today, between every card I scan it’s asking for a review. Being annoyed my review maybe swayed somewhat.
The paid app is ZERO PERCENT DIFFERENT than the free app! Don’t buy! I bought it and there was no upgrade. This app doesn’t recognize cards that are base variants. It doesn’t recognize rookies, limited edition, autographs, or different variations of inserts. I’ve scanned multiple inserts vs base and it can’t tell the difference. You can’t sort your collection by value. You can search by player name and that’s it.
On the add it literally said it was FREE in capital letters but it’s not its 50 bucks a year I don’t recommend you get this game
I just scanned a 2024 McDavid Outburst that this shiny outfit called “GOOD” and values it at $2.75!! Time to shut her down boys and girls and regroup, you have failed raider the gates.
Hhhj Goody Yjjjj
User friendliness five stars. It would be really great if there was real time net worth update. That will eventually be the goal I assume. More precise search would nice. Not being able to tell if it’s pink or purple is a huge price difference. Or claiming a card is numbered that isn’t. Again. I assume is in the future updates. Good app. Will be great. Contact me if you’d like me to advertise for you @wilfromniagra on X I’m hosting a huge music festival on spaces on X next weekend would gain lots of eyes and ears
Spent 1/2 my time trying to correct all the mistakes. Not ready to purchase as is…😩
Love it
It should be free and not just let us pay every tine
No dollar review
L’évaluation est beaucoup trop haute pour certaine carte.
Seems to work better for scanning football cards than others apps. But still cant find many of my cards. Also the values that it shows compared to others apps or online searches confuse me. One of my cards says it is worth thousands of dollars when online searches suggest less than a thousand
Does not show proper identifiers.
Cancelled my subscription the day I downloaded and deleted app - it still charged me for a subscription
This is a horrible app, the cards are constantly mis-identified. Prices are constantly wrong, it thinks every card is a French variant. Requested a refund from apple and was denied. I guess it must be their app and are just ripping people off. I will be cancelling all of my Apple subscriptions going forward. I guess I’m going android !! Shame on both these companies for ripping people off !!
L’application roule correctement, j’ai obtenu environ 20% d’identification incorrecte et des évaluations imprécises par rapport à des évaluations de marché que j’avais validées avant. Correct pour un débutant mais pour une collectionneur sérieux, cherchez ailleurs.
Downloaded this app because the ad says that it is totally free. Then got charged $50 after five days. App doesn’t work, misreads and miscalculates the price of cards. Would not recommend at all.
Hidden fee scam
Don’t really know how accurate it is 🤷♂️
Très bonne idée b
