AT&T Mobile Transfer App Comments & Reviews

AT&T Mobile Transfer Positive Reviews

Best data transfer App everI literally ran to this feedback section to give this review. I’ve gone a week waiting for my old contact sync app to provide an update to make it compatible with iOS 11. In that time my contacts have been in limbo and I’ve my text messages have been name and faceless. Enter this beauty of an App. In under 2 minutes I downloaded the App and officially transferred all my contacts just like that. Not only that, I’ve had issues transferring my old pics and videos because I have an antiquated windows computer that required a a days worth of windows updates in order to properly back up my old phone. That being said, all my info was still on my old phone waiting for the smoke to clear before I could transfer to the new one. But just like that, the AT&T Mobile Transfer App has brought balance back to the Force. Thank you for restoring my world..Version: 3.6.10

Does what it’s supposed to do!This was one of the rare times where I’ve downloaded an app, used it and it worked flawlessly, not to mention quickly. This app was so easy to use, transferring all of my info from an iPhone 6 to iPhone 8, that I came back to the App Store immediately to leave my review. This app gave me an estimated transfer time of one minute...it was under two, which was perfectly fine by me. For reference, this was for 626 contacts (man, I need to figure out how to keep business emails from saving to my account), 34 pics (you know, because the other 3,000 are already on laptop and iCloud) and 8 videos. I would be confident that this app could handle much larger amounts quickly, depending on network speeds. Thank you for making a great utility app!.Version: 3.6.17

Not all contacts transferredWas transferring from iphone 6 to iphone 8 and though it SAYS most of my contacts transferred, some of them the numbers didn’t transfer. Because iCloud is impossible to deal with when you’ve had lots of photos and several phones (somehow even when deleting it’s always full) I’m still left frustrated that many numbers didn’t come over. I don’t know how else to respond to the developer response, so here goes: It does seem like the contacts that weren’t transferred happened after my icloud stopped downloading. With that said, when you go to set up the phone, it already gives you the option of syncing with icloud, and I knew that would be problematic in my case. It’s a free app, so I can’t complain too much, but it would be WONDERFUL if an app could be developed to actually just do it phone to phone somehow. I’ve had issues with itunes too, btw on my laptop - I connect the new phone and it tells me it can’t connect, so I’m kinda screwed :(.Version: 3.6.10

IPhone transfer a SNAPI initially tried transferring content from my old phone by backing up to iCloud and then doing a transfer. That quickly became a headache as iCloud stated that I had ran out of storage. In googling alternative ways to transfer I ran across the AT&T app. After downloading the app it initially would not connect the old phone to the new. I had to restart the phones a couple of times and open the app. When they connected it became a snap to move content over to a new device. It took about 10 or 15 minutes for transfer to be complete. Love, Love this app..Version: 3.13.0

Mobile transfer appI’m pretty sure my contacts and photos were transferred between iPad mini gen2 to Mini gen5. However, I was expecting music to be transferred too, but reading what it is supposed to do, music wasn’t part of it. There were a few issues because older iPad was running iOS 12.4 and some things were not supported it said. Ended up going to iTunes, backing up to my old Mini-2 backup and attempting to transfer to new mini-5. My purchased and Downloaded Music and playlists were supposed to transfer but did not fully do that. Didn’t see any helpful information to accomplish that. Missing 60-/+% of my downloaded music and about 20% of music on playlists. 3rd party or after market app was needed to complete the music transfer. Therefore 3 stars out of 5 = 60% satisfied..Version: 3.15.2

Very smooth process, after I...The design and functionality of the app is great, and it worked like a charm. My only issue was that the app kept crashing on my old Nokia Windows phone early in the process. When that happened, there wasn’t a good way to abort it on my new iPhone so I could try again. I finally uninstalled all the added apps on the old phone, restarted it, and it worked like it should. Something was apparently conflicting. The bottom line is that I didn’t lose any contacts and my photos and videos didn’t have to be manually copied from OneDrive..Version: 3.7.3

Yay!Thank goodness! I didn't have enough iCloud storage to put my photos on the cloud then transfer them to my new iPhone 8 (previously had 5s). This app took 10 minutes to transfer my photos/videos. I had a ttooooonnnn. I didn’t allow my contacts to be transferred since I have way too many outdated contacts. You can also have contacts transferred if you choose. I’m giving 5stars bc it worked excellent for what it said it would do but I was considering 4stars because I wish it transferred my notes & email account settings. Free app 10 easy minutes..Version: 3.6.20

Super easyThis app was recommended by the at&t sales person and it could not of made transferring photos and videos easier. I am pretty sure my 3 year old could’ve done this without much help. I did not use the contacts transfer feature as I need to do some serious clean up (many duplicates and outdated contacts) and would prefer to start with a clean slate, but I imagine this would be an ideal feature for many. Overall a great app and worth the few minutes to download and transfer!.Version: 3.7.3

Transferred broken S5 -> iPhone 7+This app was a lifesaver for me ! I sent my 6s swimming so had to get out my broken screen, barely functioning Samsung out for temporary use. When I upgraded to the 7, this app helped me get the photos and videos out that I could no longer see as well as all of my contacts. (My google account sync was off on my old phone during the first transfer - 600 contacts took 6seconds! - but the second transfer brought all 1200). Videos and pics take time, however..Version: 3.8.7

Not all contacts transferredI really hope I can find an easy solution before I have to send in my trade-in phone. I upgraded from 7+ to 8+ and I used this app and I recalled from before that it's much faster if you transfer a lot of photos and videos from my phone to my computer so I basically transferred contacts only this time and not even all of them transferred over and I'm trying to figure out why. I believe some of the contacts were either create it in or connected to the exchange that I use for work. I am wondering if the problem iOS 11 had with exchange servers is causing this to happen somehow.Version: 3.6.10

THANK YOU, THANK YOU...This is the way it’s SUPPOSED to work. Why is it a nightmare every time I upgrade my iPhone? Seems simple enough—just make a COPY of everything, from the OLD place on my old phone, to the same place on my NEW phone. But, it’s not so simple for Contacts and Pics. If you’re not an iCloud user, it’s a miserable, time-consuming hodgepodge of iTunes (cross your fingers and hold your breath), Windows workarounds—and all the rest. It shouldn’t be this way. Thank you AT&T—this app worked beautifully, in an instant..Version: 3.6.20

Missing Photos & Videos TransferredI have a replacement iPhone 6 since my original’s screen started bulging. I started by restoring from an iCloud backup but that omitted most of my music and all my local photos & videos. AT&T Mobile Transfer offered to transfer photos, videos & contacts. I didn’t need contacts since the iCloud restore got all those fine. With AT&T Mobile Transfer I now have my photos and videos. Maybe I can get the music using a restore from iTunes backup. Moving to a new iPhone is quite challenging but it is nice to have this tool..Version: 3.6.20

ATTN: if your screen is brokenMake sure you turn your brightness down on your old device if you are transferring from a phone with a cracked screen.. Also I was having an issue for a while the app not working saying it was “testing the connection” the fix for this was to turn off and turn on Wi-Fi on both devices if you get this issue to fix it. Once it worked it took less than a minute to transfer all my contacts so I can’t complain!.Version: 3.7.3

Easy to use and understandI give it a 4 star . Even though most of the contacts transferred, it is infuriating to have more than 20 contacts that did not transfer. Seems like the system pre selects the one that won’t be imported. It also seems to be the problem with the other apps in the market. I had high hopes on this app since it has the the AT&T name. Just know that before you erase the data from your old phone, you are going to go through all your contacts and manually add the ones that did not transfer..Version: 3.6.20

This app is so helpful!!I tried for literal days to move my data from an old droid phone to a new iPhone with various apps (move to iOS being one) with no success and much frustration. Then in store a worker told me about the AT&T transfer app. I downloaded it and it 10 minutes had everything from my old phone on the new one. My only complaint is that I didn’t find the app sooner. Cannot recommended enough..Version: 3.18.2

Saved my lifeArguably the best way to transfer information. My icloud hadn't backed up my phone in six months because it was out of storage, so when my phone broke and i needed a new one i thought i would lose the pictures i recently took forever - but upon activating my new phone i found this app! It worked so well and transferred all my information (contacts, photos, videos) in under an hour. A great app and serves a great purpose!.Version: 3.6.10

Good app overallEven though everything I thought was going to be transferred wasn’t it did do my pics and I think my contacts .. none of my apps where transfer though or my messages etc.. it took a long time about an hour so I figured with that time it would do everything I needed to transfer that it would have done a true complete transfer but it didn’t.. above all though I guess it was ok nothing seems to be corrupted so that’s a plus on the other end.. but wished it just did it all instead of me having to do so much work after ...Version: 3.10.1

Surprisingly simple and effective!Let’s face it, a free, first-party app from a giant TelCo is worthy of suspicion. I figured it would fill my phone with ads and I’d have to laboriously track down all the crap it put on my phone. But lo and behold, it simply did its job! It was quick, effective and easy. Way better than waiting for an iCloud backup or sifting through all the other adware out there. I know it’s weird to praise an app for simply not sucking, but I was really pleasantly surprised..Version: 3.11.0

Unknown yet23 hours it says for 6000 pics and 800 videos from 2 7 pluses to a 11 pro max 500+ GB. Just praying is all I can say at this point. Another review to follow if allowed. Update: worked great!! It did double pics and videos due to adding 2 7 plusses into a 11 pro max. Just back up phone first to cloud just in case is all. Will have to go through 12,000 pics and get rid of doubles and videos as well. Takes a while but works good when transferring 390 gigs.Version: 3.11.0

Just what I needed!I had been struggling to find a suitable program to transfer my data to my phone with no success. I was in a rather odd situation, where I had data on one phone from four months ago and past that, and data on the other phone from those four months until now. Nothing I could find worked for me, and transferring things to my PC and then to iTunes wasn’t working. Thank goodness for this app!! ♡ ♡.Version: 3.11.0

Awesome transfer!I transferred all of my data from a Verizon Galaxy S5 to a new IPhone 6 Plus. It literally was done by the time I walked out to my truck and back in the house. Wasn’t sure how much trouble it would be going from the Galaxy to the Iphone, but the trouble count was 0. It even transferred all of the contacts in my email address book as well as the phone contacts I would highly recommend downloading this app. Just awesome..Version: 3.6.17

Flawless transferring!!!Ignore the 1 star giving Idiots. This app is perfect! This app worked flawlessly both times I used it. From apple to Samsung device and Samsung back to apple device. I think it requires you to press next like twice during transfer process. that literally the entire extent of effort required to have use this app. Took 3 minutes total to transfer 523 contacts, boat load of photos and several videos..Version: 3.10.1

Loved it!Very fast AT&T has always been reliable and they definitely saved time and effort with this one I knew I made a good choice when I first had trouble with my data and they were kind and fixed the problem quick and as for this app transferred little over 100 photos and 50 videos in 15 minutes most apps would take a hour!.Version: 3.11.0

Easy to use att transfer appWell I seen the video in my email decided to watch it. The next day I received my new phone forgot to download the app and activated my new phone but proceeded away. I downloaded the transfer app Viva WiFi on the old phone then downloaded the app on the new phone. The first time about five minutes went by and they both lost signal then I started the app over then waited about 20 minutes and Bam transfer complete thank god easy to use app..Version: 3.6.17

Slow with videos fast with everything else.I’m very glad that AT&T has this app, it was very helpful. The only thing is if you have a bunch of videos it will take a much longer time, like 4 hours for contacts, 1,000 ish pictures and 60 some videos. But if you have that time to wait it’s worth it. And it would be better if when the screen went blank it would keep transferring but it won’t..Version: 3.6.20

Super fast! 14 seconds!!Ok, I was only able to sync my contacts; I didn’t have any videos or pics I wanted transferred from my iPhone 6+ to my new iPhone 8+. It has a limitation where it can’t transfer over some Cloud contacts from Google or LinkedIn, which is fine - I can do it manually. I had about 200 contacts that were not able to be synced. Maybe someday they’ll find a way to do that, but right now, the bulk of my contacts was what I needed. It transferred 1,400 contacts in 14 seconds! Sweet! Tip: connect to a power source for both devices since mine froze without it. No biggie, just restart the process. And remember that both phones need to be on the same WiFi network! Great job AT&T!.Version: 3.6.17

Great App!I’m used to everything associated with transferring phones to be difficult and stressful, I was pleasantly shocked to see that for the first time...this was NOT the case!!!! The transfer was effortless. The set-up took 20 seconds, basically to ridiculously easy steps. It did take 30 minutes to transfer everything, but that was only due to the 3,000 photos and 200 videos I had. GREAT APP!!!.Version: 3.6.22

Transitioning to a new phone has never been easier.Intuitive, fast and a great job by the team at AT&T. Able to transfer 442 pictures, 19 videos, and 200+ contacts in a matter of 2 minutes. Totally beats going to the store to transfer this stuff and waiting for atleast 30 minutes just to talk to someone. Again, excellent app..Version: 3.7.3

Very handyVery easy to use save all photos and videos from my old phone to my new phone. Lot easier using iCloud when use up all space on it I can keep all the photos and videos it’s very nice. Apple lock my accounts out some one keep trying sign it lot easier get photos and videos and everything else..Version: 3.13.0

I didn’t know transferring was so easy...I was able to find this app that made transferring my iPhone pictures, and contacts to my new device so easy. Since iCloud only gives 5gb free, this helped me having to pay and move everything to my computer and then to my new device. Thanks for creating this app..Version: 3.9.6

EasyI transferred my iCloud to my newer iPhone and I was amazed that it transferred everything, apps etc. thankfully att customer service recommended this app and I had 6 pics and some files that still needed to be transferred so this app works great. So happy it caught what was missed. Took less than a min.Version: 3.18.2

Gets stuck at the testI want to give more stars as the app works as advertised. however it took some googling to make it work. every time i tried to start a transfer it would get stuck at Testing connection step up. at that step the app is completely unresponsive. after some research it turned out i made it work but disconnecting both phones from wifi and then connecting it back in a short while.Version: 3.8.7

Not excellentIt didn’t transfer most of the phone numbers of my contacts. It kept the name of the contacts, but none of the other information. Photos and videos are not in chronological order and not all of them were transferred. But it did transfer most of my photos and videos, and a couple of my contacts with their information..Version: 3.18.2

Very useful but errors and no help resolvingThe app was very useful and user friendly. However, at the end, it said two items couldn’t be transferred due to “compatibility problems”. Problem is it didn’t give any option to review them to manually transfer and once I clicked “next”, I lost access to the failed files. I don’t know what didn’t transfer..Version: 3.11.0

I now have my photosAfter restoring from my backup, it would not transfer my photos or apps. I downloaded the apps on my new phone by still didn’t have my photos. I downloaded the transfer app and now I have my photos- yeah!!! It took quite some time as I had many photos but it was worth it..Version: 3.14.3

A couple of tipsThis app worked well and it was easy to use. Before you start update both phones. This will allow the phones to see each other. Also as you follow the prompts be sure to allow the app to access all the things you wish to transfer..Version: 3.11.0

Quick and efficientDefinitely the best way I’ve found to transfer photos to your new iPhone. Quick, I can pick and choose what photos to send over which is useful because I don’t often go through and delete those shopping lists or message screenshots haha.Version: 3.14.3

AmazingSimply amazing and quick! Sometimes having an iPhone can be a hassle when trying to sync pictures from one to the next especially when the other iPhone is being used. This made transferring picture easy and simple..Version: 3.14.3

Easy PeasyTransferred iPhone 5c to iPhone XR. Had 14G of contacts, photos and four videos to move. Completed in under hour. Only had to tap on selections, phones did all the work. Got important data on new phone. Did not try iCloud transfer, but will have to see if necessary for music transfer. Not a tech guy but can figure things out if instructed properly, l liked it..Version: 3.9.6
