Garmin Golf Customer Service

Flawless app for soo many years. Loved it. Recently, been a pain in the U KNOW WHAT !!! Biggest issue now is how it doesn’t tally up your total fairways, GIR’s and putts. I did get it to work couple weeks ago by going into the settings deleted the downloaded course I played and refreshed the scorecard and the totals popped up. Need to do it after every round tho. Before that, the app wouldn’t keep the recorded putts I entered during my rounds. Would have to enter them manually when I got home. Had to start using a card again so I wouldn’t forget. Lately been having sync issues with my S70, latest update now’s requires so May “clicks” to fix mistakes made on the course ( club selection, missed inputs, shots that didn’t register). Too many drop downs, wheels, and selections now. I’ll never understand why “TECHIES” just don’t leave alone what isn’t broken. Please Garmin, don’t let me start looking elsewhere for my golf stats toys. Please fix. PLEASE !!!!

I’ve only played 5-6 rounds with my new Garmin S60, but I totally dig it. I love having yardages in my wrist at all times, so I don’t have to pull out my phone or scope every time I need a distance. It also syncs really nice and gives you a great visual overview of your round on your smart phone (Garmin Golf app). I have 58 y/o eyes, so was a little curious how I would read it w/o readers, but it’s fine for me. Couple minor drawbacks: Plenty of juice for one full round. Touch & go on that second round, though. I keep a battery brick in my bag, just in case. Also, you can zoom in a little and check yardage on that bunker or Creek, but it’s a little clunky for that. Not a smoothe pinch in/out for zoom. All in all, definitely a good purchase. BTW, I think you can get pretty much the same yardage functionality with Garmin’s more basic models for a cheaper price, but I was happy to pay more for the upgrade to Approach S60.

I’ve been using the Garmin S20 for the better part of year, a friend told me about the Garmin Golf app within the last couple months, I feel like an idiot for not having been using the app along with the watch the entire time. It does a great job of journalizing your rounds, tracking stats and even calculating your handicap. I play 4 times a week, so I’ve developed a large sample size, the app let’s me know how far I hit each club, it tracks historical data where you can look up every shot you’ve played on a single hole over a period of time and it has greatly improved my course management and my overall scores. Great job keeping it simple and user friendly, even old people should be able to figure it out!! Lol

I really like this app. The interface with my garmin watch are good. Not great, but it works. Distances are a bit off and not completely sure which way. And I’m talking about tee distances that I hit my driver. The course distances are solid. But sometimes I hit a drive and it tracks to the ball. I see the number. But when I review my round; I have a different number. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. I don’t really care about that really. My point of having this is to play on the course. It works well for that. Somehow though; I am never asked about my putts as I give my hole score. So at the end of my rounds; I have no putts recorded. Not sure how to fix this. As I get better; it’s kind of important. It also doesn’t ask fairway hits or GIRs. All this should be inputted each hole. And the watch never ask for this to be imputed. Maybe you can help me with this

I like the app. It works well with my Garmin Approach S62 watch. I don’t like apps that make things hard or complex. This app along with the watch generally makes things easy including shot tracking, club performance (even without the C10 system which I also got), scoring and distance. There are a few minor issues. First it’s impossible to import anything from other apps, so if you are switching you either have to enter manually or start over. Second the standard club lofts are not editable. They’re all wrong for my new clubs. That seems like it should be an easy fix. Third, I used club performance tracking first and then added the C10 system. All my club performance stats seemed to get wiped out. Then the next day the came back. Not sure what happened. Other than those minor imperfections I like the app a lot. Especially for use with the watch.

I highly recommend y’all get Titleist RCT golf balls(for more accurate reads) when using the R10. I just started playing golf three years ago(2020), and I just got the R10 February 2023. I wish I would’ve got it sooner. It’s the best 580 bucks I have spent in years! It’s already paid for itself in the many rounds of golf I played at courses I’ll never get to experience in real life. I use it in my garage as I have the space for it. I enjoy the weekly tournaments against real players around the world. I’ve already noticed a huge improvement on the courses with my short game just by using the R10. Godspeed to everyone on their golf journeys!🏌🏽

Please add support for iPad and/or Desktop. I know a lot of people use an iPad with the Garmin R10 and having to use an enlarged iPhone app is not ideal. If you decide to make an iPad app please utilize the larger screen to show more data fields as part of the driving range/ Home Tee Hero. If you want to bring this app to the next level you should utilize AirPlay protocol to create a duel screen experience. For example you could have the shot metrics and shot aim point on the device, then the screen could show an uninterrupted view of the playing area. Adding these features would make a home simulator next level. Overall this is a good app, but adding these features could make it a great app.

Wanted to start golfing more frequently and this watch helped me do just that. I’m not the best golfer but having yardage on my wrist atleast started helping me understand my clubs better and what to swing when. Watch also tracks direction of drive (left, right, straight) and number of putts which combines with other rounds to produce summary graphs and analytics. Shows improvements and trend analysis all which is way too much for a casual golfer but really cool to see. Best part is the gps tracking which tracks where you’re shooting from and how far your last shot was. The Watch turned out to be way cooler than expected

I’ve only been golfing for about 2 years, I’ve been using my S20 approach for the last 8 months or so and it’s a great tool for out on the course. Just realized there are features to measure shots , hazard distances. Once you are finished with your round , sync it with your app on your phone and it shows all of your drives and approach shots. Tracks your handicap, even compares and tracks your progress with other similar handicaps. It is simple to use and doesn’t waste time during your rounds. Just walk up to your ball, check the distances to the green (3 locations Front , Center and Back) grab your club and swing away.

For us old timers who are still running with the F3HR we don’t have the capability to input fairway hits and putts into the device while in play. Would be beneficial to us if the app allowed you to do this to saved rounds, not while round is in play. I leave my phone in the car when on the course and could then input the data while at the clubhouse. Who wants to hook up to their computer to input the info? In other words, allow users of older devices to play out the round on the device then save it. Once saved we can then edit the round on the app (i.e. fairway hits, GIR, putts). Having these additional statistics means a lot to us.

First, I CANNOT believe this is free and included in without additional purchases. This has worked flawlessly every time. It not only measures the distance to the hole from your selected tee box but you get a nice vivid image of the layout of the fairway. Very helpful on new courses to know what traps are waiting around the corner. It also keeps score and keeps many other stats. Honestly, I would have bought a garmin for this app if I was just a golfer, but this is an amazing bonus when it is actually My running watch

This app has everything that I was looking from a golfing app. Stroke tracker to track fairway shots, Green-in-regulation, putts. Great statistics tracking, all within a clean simple application. What it is missing is 1 thing. I would love it if I could post my golf scores directly to USGA GHIN. I have used other apps that let me post my score to my USGA GHIN account from companies much smaller than Garmin, and think this feature would be the cherry on top, making this a 5 star app. Truly love how this app works with my Garmin Fenix 7, could very early be a 5 stars. If this feature gets added in the future, I will be making this a 5 star review.

Have used the Garmin Golf app since the R10 came out. I have appreciated each improvement; accuracy, app integrations, and ball support. The new layout is sensible: I could never figure out why range practice sessions and virtual courses results were found separately before so Activity tab is welcome. The stats recorded and calculated by the app feel appropriate. I wish descent angle was available but I can live without it. Mainly I’m surprised that you still can’t view your shots on the virtual rounds after the fact. Even my on-course tools like Arccos do that well. Another strange gap is lack of official GSPro support.

It’s been about three years since I got my Approach S62 golf/sports watch. Never once have I regretted owning it. It’s accurate on the golf course, provides great feedback real time, and keeps such good data on all my rounds that I wouldn’t trade it for any other system. And then there’s the customer service department. Never once have they had any trouble answering any of my questions. They are my go to guys. My golf buddy has one, too, and he loves his Approach S62 about as much as I do. It just works like it is supposed to. That’s what I say.

I have my app paired with my Garmin Approach S40. I believe it’s one of their cheapest golf oriented watches but works perfect for me. The watch along with the app have helped me track my HCP and stock yardages for all my clubs. Not to mention it’s always fun to go back and see every shot from every round I’ve played. I’ve been golfing for a little over two years but started using my watch and app about a year and a half ago. In that time my handicap go from around 25 to 12 and the app has played a big part.

Pros: fairly accurate distance to holes, good sir distance measuring, like the scorekeeping and syncing to Garmin golf app which saves all your scorecards and stats. Bluetooth to phone let's you know when you get a call or text and every other notification which I don't like. Cons: Hazard distances are not good and difficult to maneuver. Can't fine tooth notifications. Seems to be all or nothing. Can only get 2 round on a battery charge. I really do like using the watch had a handheld Garmin gps and enjoy having the device on my wrist and not have to carry it. I don't use the activity tracker so can't comment on that.

I own a lot of Garmin products like dog training collars, GPS unit, Instinct watch and more. When I was informed about the Garmin Golf App I decided to connect it with my Fenix 5 watch and was not disappointed. Garmin makes everything easy to learn without having to be a computer programmer to make it work. I can keep my score easily as I make my way through the course and then review my stats at the end of the day. I love that it tracks your club performance with just a little bit of extra effort to enter your clubs information. Garmin customer for life!

I’ve been using the S60 approach for three years. Absolutely love it. Courses appear and load quickly. Yardage, image of the hole showing where things are, and scoring all work well during play. The new feature on scoring is nice- yardage is available to the end and you decide when to input score. After play- I can review every hole on the app to see where I went and how long the shots were. I can even review previous rounds. Best golf purchase ever!

I downloaded this app to use with the R10. I truly believe this is a huge market disruption in a great way. Far superior than Optishot and much cheaper but comparable to the other radar launch monitors. The stats and the 41k courses out of the box are unbeatable. I played the same course right after I got home and got a very similar score (a tad lower due to the benefit of the doubt most simulators give). Was hitting left all day and it showed on the simulator. Best purchase in a while.

The S20 provides excellent basic functionality for golfers including distance during round and tracking and reporting of stats after. There were some issues during winter of 2020 when the app wasn’t working and the watch wouldn’t sync with the app on phone which were annoying. However the watch still functioned great on the course. Once the issue was resolved its been working well. Really like the extra functionality features on this watch!

The app is incredible on iPhone—super smooth and easy to use! The only downside is when it’s mirrored or used on a larger screen (like a monitor or TV), the mobile aspect ratio doesn’t translate well. It ends up looking stretched, boxed-in, or just awkward. An iPad version that fully supports the iPad’s native aspect ratio—especially when connected to an external display—would take the experience to the next level. It would look much more polished and professional, and make the app feel native to all Apple devices.

I recently bought an Approach S42 and it works very well with the app. All I did is pair it with my phone and off I went. When you get home from the round, the app has all your shot data and overlays it on the course making it very easy to see where things went wrong or right. The only thing I would change is to make the place to find course data a little easier to find.

I purchased a Garmin S62 golf watch so I would have all of the information I needed during my round The watch is magnificent and I would not golf without it. I also use the C-10 club sensors which are a great addition to the S62 watch and the Garmin golf app. I find the app useful for reviewing my round. Sometimes I find errors entered by the watch but they are easy to correct. I have very happy with my purchase and the Garmin golf app is a great compliment.

Got the launch monitor and use the app to keep score. It has helped me track gir, fairways, and putts to show where I need to focus my practice sessions. I am really enjoying the data driven side of golf. Am a 12 handicap that used to be a 9 am looking for the launch monitor and app to provide some data to help me improve my game. So far so good. I have my distances and am shooting much better according to the numbers. 😀

Upgraded my S60 to S62 and there’s no going back for me! Effortlessly tracks stats and gives me information I didn’t even realize I needed. Highlights areas I need to work on and my score and handicap are all moving in right direction. I further added the R10 launch monitor which also incorporated into this app. If I can spend enough time then can even lend to caddy recommendations. Great app and great products associated with it :)

Fantastic app! Highly recommend it. I use it with my Fenix 8 paired with the range finder and CT10 club sensors. I really couldn’t be happier.

I love almost everything about using the garmin r10 in my home sim except when it comes to hitting a shot in a hazard area. You should be able to go back on your line you crossed in and take a drop instead of the auto drop. The auto drop places your ball on a downhill lie feet from the water and it’s next to impossible to advance your ball towards the hole. I would really love to see the hazard drop change to something similar to the e6 software where you can place your ball further back in the fairway where you crossed. Thanks

Would be great if the hole by hole score could load directly to GHIN and Golf Canada.

Love Garmin Golf when used for post game information, with my S62 used on course. Only change I would like to see is the ability to reset club stats so that swing changes can more quickly be reflected.

Easy enough to use to track score but used in combo with a Garmin watch and sensors such as CT10 and it becomes quite the powerhouse for golf tracking. No sub required as watch and trackers are optional and represent the bulk of the cost. The CT10 and app will track location of clubs and map whereabouts on course. The watch and CT10 will record club, distance, location and score data. After the round the watch syncs to app and displays each hole, club and distance. App provides more metrics when playing the same course multiple time and club stats which are useful and free. It does not provide as much details as Accros but it is a good trade off. CT10 batteries can be swapped out when required.

Should be able to track the hole and greens from the app. Does not follow you on the app in course view and green contours don’t work even tho I am a member..works on the watch. Should be able to see on app where you are and far to go to green or layups.

We were able to view the whole card when turning phone sideways. After the last upgrade this is not possible anymore. In stand up mode, we only see 2-3 holes at a time !!! Please re-add this feature. Great app !

The wind is glitchy sometimes.it will be showing one wind speed as you are picking your club, then right before your swing, it changes. Love the app, we use it every weekend. Helps to keep in golf shape throughout the winter

Great app but when I’m listening to something and open the app it turns off the audio. (Ie listening to a podcast) There’s no need in my mind for the app to need to do this. Very frustrating

Great interface, would like to see it a bit more user friendly but do recommend it to others keeping track of their progress.

So many features! Watch is so fantastic I can’t believe it! I’m using it so much. If you are active and fitness or golf enthusiast then the Garmin watch is fantastic! I have the Sapphire pro. It’s really good! Buy it! You will love it!

Could be a bit more detailed on your stats and where to improve but overall most of the data is presented well and some areas for improvement are highlighted. App is a bit clunky and slow, could use some investment to improve quality and speed

Great map graphics showing shot locations and Club used. Like the historical shots function. We had our course ratings and hole handicaps changes by our provincial golf authority but I guess that information needs to be updated with Garmin? Transcona Golf Club in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

The golf gps is a great product. Every time I use it, I’m amazed at how it seems to auto correct based on my game. I did have some doubts at first but the more I golf and understand what it’s capabilities the more it excites me. Well done Garmin.

Connects flawlessly every time to my R10 every time, which means less time spend fumbling with setup and more time spent golfing! One UX improvement I’d suggest, is when you are looking at shot data it would amazing if you could swipe left or right to move between shots. This would save so much time going back and forth from the shot browser and the shot details. Implement that and it’s a 5/5 for me. Amazing software/hardware all around though!

This is a great app. It has many stats tracks your score. The problem is it doesn’t always sync well with my watch even when I do load the course, when I get to the course and start to watch 50% of the time it will not show my course The app is fantastic. Lots of ways to track your score and other statistics, the only downside is that it doesn’t always load to my watch, and sometimes, though it seems to load to the watch to show up at the course, it won’t show that course.

I use multiple Garmin golf devices, S62 Golf watch, R10 Launch Monitor and C10 club sensors for in game data collection. There are LOT of opportunities for these product lines to integrate into the Garmin golf app for much better data collection and followup analysis. Other applications such as 18 Birdies and Golf Shot are advancing technology in terms of player performance for game improvement. 1. Strokes gained per round. Garmin Golf doesn't provide that information. It uses averages over 10 rounds. 2. Strokes gained for specific clubs. Garmin Golf bunches shots into Drives, Approach, Chips and Putts instead of strokes gained by club. I would like to know which club or range of clubs I should work on. 3. In round GPS overview using the phone is far far behind the other golf apps. One can't look at distances for possible shots. That information is available on the watch but that can be cumbersome. Additionally, the overlay is a 'cartoon' graphic where other apps use photos with more details. Overall, while I using the multiples Garmin devices where I do like the concept of a centralized app to collect all my data, this application is in need of a complete redesign to keep up with the competitors.

It may work better if all clubs had the CT 10 accessories. However, I don’t feel you should need them to be able to get semi-accurate shot statistics. For example, I accidentally put that I hit a 3 wood off the tee. When I went in to look at the round, I noticed that I hit the 3 wood button. I updated that to my driver, but it still shows that drive as the average for my 3 wood. I hit the ball nowhere near the average 3 wood totals in the app. I have several clubs like that now, but Garmin uses your last 10 rounds, so it will be on there for awhile. No way to manually update it. I really wanted the help of this functionality to tell me how far that I’m hitting each club. It isn’t valuable with all the skewed data. Since the CT 10’s connect directly. They would probably help with this, but I’m not ready to spend that kind of money until the app gets a bit better tracking. The watch is fantastic and functional. GPS works great and the features are first rate. I will keep uploading to Garmin Golf just in case it gets better in the future, but at the moment this isn’t helpful.

I have been using this app along with my s42 and T10 for than 6 months. So, when it works it’s fine. But, I can’t never get by not editing every round I played. It’s impossible and It’s very FRUSTRATING when it miss track which shot is played at which hole. I often need to spend nearly an hour edit it if only it is allowed. Every once a while it will record all the shots from two or three holes I played in one. So I will have 10+ shots recorded in one hole, and there is not a single way I can change those shots that’s miss recorded to the correct one. They have the gps coordinates why can’t I’ll it just let me move it to the other hole??? The miss shots diluted statistic so I will have to exclude the whole round from the data. I just wish they can add a few more features in the post round edit. I am pretty sure many people have experience the exact same thing I have and they would definitely appreciate it. Anyway, I don’t even know if they read this stuff. I hope some day they will get to it…..

I just purchased S62 watch and was excited to see all the data it could gather for my game. Garmin is supposed to be the best in the business when it comes to GPS and data and I had not heard much from golfing community what the Garmin Golf app was like. I used the app for first time yesterday and was dumbfounded how bad and basic it is compared to what is available now from competitors such a grint, 18birdies, shotscope, etc. While the data points are there and is presented in a decent interface. It could be so much better organized and even more data can be extracted and provided. The actual on course map when you play is not interactive at all and it looks like cartoon! This is crazy, this app does not reflect Garmin quality at all. I’m going back to using the grint app for on course GPS map and using the Garmin watch for data shot tracking/analysis. But this pretty much burned any possibilities for purchasing additional Garmin products in the future.

I purchased the Garmin R10 launch monitor and this app is the companion to that. First, the device is wildly inaccurate. Definitely NOT worth the money. Any positive review must have been paid for. Second, this app looks to have been designed by a child, and not a very intelligent one. Pretty much all launch monitor software will show you almost all of the important shot data right on the screen, front and center. Not this one. You get three pieces of data. Now, you can choose which three, but come on. Three is a joke. Especially when using an iPad and there is plenty of screen real estate. Garmin falsely advertises that you get to sim courses for free where other launch monitor charge. That’s b.s. You get a one week free trial, then you have to pay. None of which you can do from their app. All there app is, is a launch pad into all the other apps from third parties, aside from the feeble driving range app. That one is all on Garmin’s head.

I like the app and will give 5 stars once this glitch is addressed. I’ve had my Approach 20s for two weeks now and have played around 10 rounds with it. I’ve enjoyed the watch and app when they’ve worked together. However, my last 3 rounds, while saved in the watch, did not migrate to the GGolf app. First of all, I’d like to see my score from yesterday as I didn’t keep it on a card. At this point that whole round is gone. Secondly, I’d like to see where I need to improve. A handy feature when the watch and app work well together. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app. I’ve turned the watch off/on. Disconnected reconnected the Bluetooth. Disconnected reconnected the Garmin connect app. Tried syncing both GGarmin and GConnect app to watch several times. I get notifications from phone to watch. I see my steps and “activity”. It’s only the scorecard that doesn’t sync. Without that it makes the watch good for distances only. Which is not worth it. Please fix this issue!

I love the Garmin S70 watch and sensors. The app takes some getting used to but once accustomed to making any necessary edits its good EXCEPT when something goes wonky with the sensors. This usually happens if I forget to finalize my score on a hole. The watch thinks I'm still on my previous hole when I'm hitting my driver and subsequent shots on the next hole. I can delete the errant shot recording or even the entire round but it does not change max yards for the club. Garmin Support says to delete the club and add it again, resulting in a loss of all stats for that club. They don't list this as a solution but an alternative is to set EVERY round to Exclude Scorecard from Stats. Then go to Club Stats. That resets all stats. Then turn on the recent rounds to get accurate club stats for recent activity.

I’ve played 50 rounds with my S20 and this app. Here are my thoughts. Yesterday, suddenly I was unable to view any course stats except for one I played 6 months ago. Yes, the scorecards are still there and no they are not excluded. After a round, I have to use Garmin sync separate App to get the data off my watch, then use Garmin golf app to review it. This is terrible. I’m a computer professional and I have to spar with it to make it happen. I play with guys over 60 who have no idea how to do this consistently. After a round, I review each hole on the visual scorecard, deleting practice swings or stops at a partners ball that were counted on my watch. I also enter the club I used. It’s a cool feature but If I delete an actual shot by accident, there is no way to cancel or revert. Also I have to flip back to the scorecard so I can match strokes with my score. It would be nice if the actual score entered was displayed on this screen. I also have shots that show up on the screen from a far distance from the tee box (possibly warm up swings), that can’t be selected or deleted. Currently fairway hits or left/right misses are entered manually on the watch. There should be an option of doing this automatically. After all, in a gps world, you know where the fairways are and you know where the second swing was made. There are a lot of possibilities with this app to help golfers understand their game and improve it but right now it falls short in many ways. Every time I upgrade I’m hoping for something new but the features don’t change. Just bug fixes and bug introductions.

I always use my watch (Approach S20) when I play. The course always loads, and I enter shots, putts, fairway hits, and penalties, finish, save the round, and review the stats. However, the round doesn’t always upload to the app on my iPhone. It doesn’t matter if I have the app open on my phone during the round or not. I have revised my rating to downgrade from 3 to 2 stars. I played a round today and used both my watch and the app to log my scores, fairways, and puts. The scorecard is the only thing that shows up. It’s the first time I used the app to record the stats, but still no hole-by-hole shots. I have those from other rounds without using he app. I would not recommend wasting your time with the app since it’s so hit and miss if you’re going to be able to review your round. There are many other apps that are much more reliable.

This app is kind of a joke when you compare it to 18 birdies or Golfshot. It’s bad when I’m thinking of going Apple Watch just to use other apps. You guys are going to start losing money if Apple figures out it’s battery. Give us more social features, give us deeper stats to view to make meaningful changes, give us course planning and previews with satellite images as well as cartoon, give us tee time purchasing, make a perfect use between watch and app so we can use both effectively on the course, really just get your golf guys out and using Golfshot and 18 birdies and then get in and redo this app. Your watches are great and the golf apps on the watches themselves are working but this app on the phone is junk. I mean your main screen is just a picture with a start round button. Really?? Come on Garmin you can do better.

Bought the approach R10 and set up my indoor simulator setup with projector. The HUGE problem is that the simulator only works in the app. There is no way to use on a computer, there is no option to stream directly to a smart device (Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, etc), and the absolute lowest option isn’t even available either in the fact that you can even put the phone in landscape mode and mirror the phone. The ONLY option is the mirror your phone in VERTICAL mode. So you have a tiny vertical iPhone screen in the middle of your TV or projection when you cast/share your screen to smart devices. These are such basic things to iron out when you spend all this time advertising a simulator. At the very least set up your app for landscape mode! So disappointed.

I love this app with the Garmin Approach R10, comes with tons of golf courses including tiny municipal courses and executive courses. The interface is great, this should be a 5 star review, HOWEVER…. There is no left handed support at all in this app. I am using with a ball flight tracker to improve my swing mechanics but I have to mirror all of the visual data in my head. I’m sure the interpretation of the ball flight data is favored towards accuracy of right handed shots, and I’m ok with that, but the user interface visuals should be easy to add (literally just mirror the images) and I am sure the left handed community would greatly appreciate it! Hopefully this happens at some point then I will be happy to change to 5*

I have used this app only once, and it appears to be lacking a key feature that I value quite highly and have used in apps from other golf companies. I want to be able to tap at any spot on the image of the entire hole and see the distance from my location to that spot. That is the only thing that I need that is not already provided by my Garmin GPS watch, and is the only reason I will use my smartphone during a round. It can’t be that difficult to provide that information if other apps can do it. If I am mistaken, and that data is available, I hope someone will inform me how to access it. If not, I will simply use my Garmin S12 and a competitor’s app that provides that key information.

I switched from an Apple Watch to the Garmin family. The golf app is lacking and competition is catching up and utltize the Apple Watch as a input! The animation of the course is very unwellming. Scoring is pretty easy from Tee to Green but entering putts can only be done post round on the app! I like to review the performance data post round for areas for improvement! I would like to see more data by Par 3, Par 4, and Par 5s. I really wish Garmin would connect to the GRINT or other scoring and tracking apps to easily input scores and performance stats. I will say the Garmin watch is an upgrade over the accross inserts in every club! Don’t plan on putting inserts in my putter and wedges!

I have been a garmin golf watch customer for a long time. I currently have a Garmin MARQ 2 Golf. I enter data into the watch as I play a round - total strokes, fairways hit, penalties and puts. The watch synchronizes with Garmin connect and Garmin Golf after the round. I know the syncs are working and the data is in both apps. I have always been frustrated that Golf does not report total puts. I have to go hole by hole and add them myself. I learned today Garmin intentionally withholds this information and only makes it available to customers that buy an upgraded package. Incredible!!!! I buy an unbelievably expensive watch from them and this is what I get. Garmin, I can’t say what I think of you in this forum, but it starts with f and ends with off. I will never spend another $ on a Garmin product.

Been using the g80 for 3 months. Scorecards upload to my iPhone after each round. Also sync to garmin connect on my computer. The garmin golf app shows all score cards and the courses played. I can see each individual stats for each score card but the course stats DO NOT SHOW on the app. I can login to computer garmin connect and see my stats for each course played but I want to see it on the iPhone in the app. I have complained and garmin says they fixed it with the lasted release. NO THEY DID NOT. Also in both the golf app and garmin connect I am unable to get course stats for my playing parters. For the 500 bucks I put out for the g80, consider another manufacturer. Garmin needs to get their programming right if they are going to have those features in their apps and do it timely.

Not sure if this is an app issue or a hardware issue but I recently had a long range session and when I get home, almost all of my data for that session was gone. Apparently it’s an issue when deleting a shot mid session, the device only saves data up to the point of the deletion even though the app looks like it’s saving all of the data. Reading online and it looks like this has been an issue for a long time. After contacting support they just told me that they’re investigating it. Either fix the issue on the hardware or remove the feature from the app until garmin can figure it out so it doesn’t affect other people.

Couldn’t be more unimpressed with the garmin golf app. I’m not the type to typically write a review about anything. Having said that, this app is soo soo bad, I felt compelled. My father-in-law has raved about his garmin golf watch for years. I finally took the bait and purchased the S62. After setting up the watch and downloading the app AND starting the free trial ahead of the $100 annual fee…I promptly canceled the app after the first round of golf. It syncs with the watch to track your score and that’s honestly about it. The fact that the same GPS distance data isn’t available in the phone/app view is nuts. Compared to golf logix, grint or any other golf app…the garmin app might as well be a score card…actually that’s not a good comparison either. A typical paper score card provides more course Intel than this completely useless app does. If your still reading. This app is absolute trash. …so much so that I’m honestly starting to regret purchasing the watch. Thanks Garmin. Feeling sufficiently bamboozled after this one.

When I’m in the middle of golfing, I go to check the wind and it keeps saying unable to connect to Golf app. I have to restart the app and the wind will show again for an hour and then it happens again. I have tried giving my location full access not just when using the app, but the issue still happens. This started after updating the app months ago. Before then, it was working fine for about a year as it was happening before that. Garmin, please work on this issue. This is a $700 watch. The watch is great app functionality not so much

I have a Garmin Venu. I bought this $400 watch instead of a cheaper Fitbit because I loved the golf features. Except that the golf app is horrible. It shows all my shots, and even the flag, as being behind and way to the right on the map. I’m a bad golfer but not that bad. I cannot even see what my drive distances are because the tee where the distance is shown is off the screen. You cannot zoom in/out, feels like a 2007 app. Btw, I reached out to support twice about the issue, never got a response. I have deleted and redownloaded both the connect and golf apps multiple times. I cleared the golf course cache on connect. Nothing has helped. If I could return the watch and get arccos instead I would.

App crash’s almost every time I use it while Garmin support is telling me it’s fine. If the app crashes during home tee hero then you won’t be able to finish your round. App will also glitch delete your practice data starting after a random shot and you won’t know what shot that is until you finalize your practice session. Last time I practiced I hit 50 balls and was able to look at all the shot data until I finalized and closed out the round. I was left with my first 6 shot after the glitch delete. This has been happening more and more frequently.

I adjust the weather and altitude settings as most others do. After a recent update, the altitude and weather settings change to my local weather settings randomly in the middle of the round. The light on the R10 flashes blue and seems to disconnect and reconnect to my iPad. It also changes the distance from the R10 from 7’6” to the default 7’. It seems to happen if i step away for a minute to fold a load of laundry, stand directly in front of the unit and take some practice swings, or maybe when the unit drops in battery level. Super frustrating. I will change this review when these issues get resolved.

For many weeks, everything worked as advertised. Now, When I sync the Garmin Connect phone app with the watch, the data doesn’t transfer to Garmin Golf. I have to wait until I can plug the watch into my laptop and launch Garmin Express to upload golf data. Once uploaded via the laptop, the round will finally appear on the Garmin Golf app. I’ve tried all the suggestions on the Garmin web site but always the same result. The whole point of the Golf app is to be able to see your round right after you finish but I can’t do this when Garmin Connect and Garmin Golf won’t talk to each other.

I have used this app for two years. When Garmin decided to take all the golf functions off of Garmin Connect and link them to this app they RUINED it! It is more or less useless since all it does is record your rounds. You can get the same function using the GHIN app and at least that app will give you useful stats such as GIR averages, putts per round etc. This app won’t even give you hole by hole averages even though the data is right in it easily available. This tells me that Garmin couldn’t care less about its golfers using its hardware. I like using my Vivoactive HR for golf and its golf function works well but the app supporting it, this one, is a loser. Step up your game Garmin!

You have to click into each swing when reviewing driving range stats, then switch to the data panel you want. Would be much better if you pick your data display screen and swipe through each swing, or default to the last data panel and open it up first when clicking into a swing. Makes it a chore to click 3 times to switch between data for each swing. User experience for the app is so bad, that im likely to return the device. Also noise from other golfers at the driving range, and varying distance between the ball and device missed nearly 1/3 of the swings i attempted to record.

Unable to create account because it constantly says invalid date format

On my iPhone that app constantly closes after opening the app from Garmin Connect or directly using the golf app. Very sad considering the golf watch I bought cost was >$600.

Shot maps are just dark green blobs with lines on them and no longer display the holes or any of their details. The most useful feature and it no longer works, pls fix asap..

Why do I only see the iphone layout on my iPad? These graphics beg to use the full screen, not 2/3 of it. A bit of a disappointment off the bat. I just installed the app today so I’ll update the review over the coming weeks.

I am an avid golfer and have all the “toys”. I keep up with golf tech and analytics etc. I have a Garmin Fenix 8 to go with the Z30 rangefinder. However I CANNOT and refuse to use the CT10s and the Garmin Golf app for anything. It’s literally like an arcade game from 2003. It is so desperately in need of a massive update and overhaul. The “analytics” are FAR inferior to Arccos. 1/10 in my view. Garmin has great hardware but this software is embarrassingly bad. I honestly expect more from such a large company with a presumably huge budget for software development. Please for the love of god update this app!

I have been using this app with my S 70 for the past two years. It’s a decent app, and the actual game tracking seems quite good. Where this app is lacking, his insights and ability to drill down on performance of single clubs. Arccos does a fantastic job of allowing the user to review all shots from a specific club, regardless of where it’s been played. Would be great to see a substantial revamp of the UI with additional features

Unsure why I purchased a 72 if i can’t trust it

I like the app and everything on my watch but recently noticed the yardages have been off by as much as 12-15 yards. Don’t know what happened as in the past they were fine. Anyways, a bit disappointing.

Following round my sync is delayed. Often I have to turn off Bluetooth and turn back on then my devices S62 and IPhone synchronize

Happened last year too, but we found then it was caused by the units of measure being changed by the update to metric. Not the case this time. Settings show not metric. Now it’s just flat wrong, by up to 20 yards when standing at the 150 yd stake. Not good guys

After the most recent upgrade the app no longer shows my shots on the map. Very disappointing.

Since the update this week most of my shots disappear on my range sessions. They show up after but the next day 50-70% of the shots are gone.

This app has been great at tracking stats but the latest release has lost my score history for each course. When I try to look at previous scores for a particular course it says “unable to load” and asks to retry, but never works. Other than that it’s a great app

The app has recently gotten better but it could still use improvement. The user interface is clunky and not as intuitive as it could be. When it functionality, it would be gre to have the ability to reset club data or easily reassign club sensors from one club to another allowing play with multiple sets

Since the release of the R50 tablets no longer work with my R10 which completely ruins a indoor simulator set up. Save your money and go with the MLM that way you can use a tablet and you get side spin.

This is a great electronic score card. It shows you the hole you’re on but it gives no distance for each hole. I’m not looking for distance from me to th whole just off the tee.

I got a new watch and started using to track my golf like I did before. New update doesn’t show where you hit to. Can’t update as to where you hit balls and what you used.

And their devices aren’t much better.

When entering my score, I never ask for my putting. So I have to do that later on the app

Decent app, but can’t save any rounds. App is up to date, and I’ve tried rebooting the watch multiple times. I record score on the watch as I’m playing, save the round when it’s done, but it gets lost in the cloud and never makes it to the Garmin golf app. The fitness data always gets into the regular garmin app, but the golf app is not syncing up. Time to try something new for me as this is an 18 month problem now.

Every other week I have to re-login to this stupid app. Really frustrating. Also right after a round, for some reason it takes a while before you can see the hole-by-hole statistics

It’s unbelievable that an app like this doesn’t support iPad natively. When pared with my Garmin R10 I want to use on my iPad, not on a small screen. Landscape support is also poorly done. The app could offer more customizations at the UI level. Overall it’s good, provides a lot of useful data. The only problem I see is the unpolished interface.

Got my Garmin s42 and was really excited to start playing with it. The watch works great and although it takes some time getting used to - it really works well to make scorekeeping and distance finding easier. My main critique is on the app - the main points I feel are missing: 1) the app should show you where you’re on the course during your round. It helps visualize what’s around and seems fairly basic since both the watch and app have gps. Sometimes going to the phone helps dial the distance a bit to a hazard. 2) The strokes gained high level trend statistics are ok, but I really want to know how I’m performing on a hole by hole basis. Maybe add the stat of strokes gained on the summary section when reviewing my post game shots?

A friend of mine recommended their Garmin watch to me. They showed me their S10 which has the ability to track your shots. I ended up purchasing the S12 on sale, thinking it was a newer version. I was EXTREMELY disappointed to learn that the newer S12 lacks many of the features such as shot tracking that the S10 has. I should have bought the older version.

My distance seems to under read 12 yards on each hole compared to other Garmin watches
