So first off let me begin by saying if you’re a first time user of Garmin Watches the bar and standard are constantly improving with each consistent iteration of watch/generation AND! software update(s) even for prior generations of watches. The User Interface (UI) is rich and beautiful without being overly clunky or bloated with unnecessary features and extra taps/scrolls that bog down your experience. The snapshots and the summaries are all relatively concise and cleanly presented. While I’m an Apple user for all things EXCEPT their watch, I am most pleasantly surprised and pleased with my decision to purchase the Garmin TACTIX line of watches, especially the AMOLED editions! If you are on the fence about purchasing a smartwatch and the daunting overwhelming features usually forced down your throat you cannot go wrong with choosing Garmin for its simplicity AND enduring battery life that doesn’t tether you to an outlet like most things “smart” or Apple.

Connect IQ Store is a really good concept and an important part of the Garmin ecosystem. It gives users the ability to customize their watch, install apps, data fields, and watch faces — which is exactly what makes Garmin devices feel powerful and personal. However, the store feels outdated compared to what it could be. Many watch faces, apps, and designs look old, repetitive, or poorly optimized. There isn’t enough fresh content, and updates for existing apps often come too slowly. Garmin hardware is modern and strong, but the software side — especially visual customization — needs more attention. Users want more variety in watch faces, better design quality, smoother performance, and more frequent updates. New styles, modern UI ideas, cleaner graphics, and more creativity from developers would make a huge difference. Right now, some content feels stuck in the past while still costing money. If Garmin encourages more active updates, better design standards, and more diversity in the store, this could become one of the best smartwatch ecosystems out there. The potential is huge — it just needs fresh energy, modern design direction, and faster updates.

The app, in my opinion, is a must for Garmin users. Especially, if you’re like me and keep a training log, but aren’t always consistent with updating the log. Or it can serve as your training log if you aren’t into keeping one by hand. It is also very helpful for athlete and coach communication. Because you can screen shot your heart rate information to your coach so that you can adjust workouts, and track your progress through heart rate. The app is essential for not only tracking heart rate, workouts, and other health factors that can affect your training. But also for adjusting the device settings; such as, the watch face, heart rate levels, notifications etc. My over all experience with app has been good. But ultimately if you’re looking into downloading the app it is important to ask yourself what do want out of your training and device. For example, if you have a Garmin watch and aren’t necessarily serious about training and/or your not that interested in sats you don’t need to download the app. However if you’re the opposite you should most definitely download because it will help you very much as it is simple and convenient to use over all.

I really enjoy using the Garmin Connect app to visualize changes in my sleep quality and my overall health. I get a real sense of accomplishment watching my weight and resting heart rate decrease while watching my vO2 increase. I also love the Apple Health integration so that I can see how my physical fitness impacts other areas of my health like cholesterol and triglyceride levels. If you’re looking to understand the relationship between your physical fitness and your underlying health, I would highly recommend using a Garmin smart watch with the Garmin Connect app.

First, reading some of the reviews is a great time. Years ago I would have agreed with all of the negative reviews. With an old watch I did have difficulty syncing and there were problems when you added some faces and widgets. When I upgraded to the Fenix 6x pro solar a couple of years ago many of those problems stopped. Then at some point i just stopped wearing the Garmin in favor of the better looking but far inferior Tag Connected. When I started training for a 50 mile ruck I knew the Garmin had to be a part of the effort. And it appears the app has gotten better. Now I have no problems. Things run even better than my Apple Watch. Yes, there are things they could improve. But as it stands there is nothing that prevents me from using my watch exactly how I want to use it.

I’ve been using the Garmin Connect app for several months now, and it has completely transformed my fitness journey. I like having the Garmin IQ app because it’s so nice to change your watch face to another new one. You can change it to one of your photos and many other options etc… One thing I wish would change is that the photos are a little bit blurry depending if the photo your putting on you watch face is a bright picture or a dark one but it usually always comes out blurry on your watch face either way. It’s still convenient to have the option of putting a picture though. Garmin IQ can also do many other things that are helpful but I don’t use it much more than for changing watch faces but there’s many other ways to use it I’m sure.

Accidentally updated this iQ app. On re-launching, I was asked sign back in, accept new EULA, confirm my location... all very bad signs. Once through all that, the app can’t find my device and just sends me off to help documentation for setting up a new device... edit, apparently I have two Garmin accounts, one of which is my active account and one which I had (re)signed in with. Finding where to sign out and sign back in within the iQ app is nearly impossible so if this is you, here it is: main iQ Store screen, scroll scroll scroll through the bjillion apps all the way to the bottom, tap “About the Connect iQ store”, scroll down and there you’ll find Sign Out...)

The Garmin app gives me a lot more information about my indoor workouts and outdoor running compared to Apple’s Fitness app. For example, Garmin gives you recovery time, time spent in each heart rate zone and your estimated sweat loss— along with everything that Apple’s Fitness app provides— like distance, time, splits, calories burned, etc. As a customer of Apple for a long time, I now prefer my Garmin watch over the Apple Watch. Although Apple is good for the casual exerciser, I think Garmin is geared for the serious athlete who prefers more data.

Really it’s the watch, but being able to track calories, stress, sleep score, etc has revolutionized my knowledge of my own daily health. To make it complete, I want compatibility with MyFitnessPal to be smoother (which is equally on MFP to improve). I would also love the ability to save progress pics with my weigh-ins on the Garmin app. But again, I have been able to reduce my migraine frequency, get a real handle on how lifestyle changes impact my weight, and improve sleep quality by removing a lot of hemming and hawing about it if I actually caught some worthwhile Zs

Love all the options to choose from. And it’s not hard to find what your after. Garmin gps systems are user friendly even in a watch. I use mine all the time, routes for hunting stands, love the topo maps as well. Also the fitness features are great helps keep you more aware of your over all health and activities so easy to track how your body’s is doing as well as your ability to get a good nights sleep to keeping an eye on your heart rate. It’s all on my wrist!. Has everything you need in a app for Garmin GPS.

Finally ready to catch up with the cool people & get a smart watch. I LOVE IT. Ran with the Forerunner 220 for 6 years or so, this is awesome. I charge it for about an hour while I’m getting ready in the morning, and it hasn’t gone below 80%. Changing the face is easy and fun, the brightness is good. I think I’m annoying people talking about my sleep, steps, heart rate, etc. Haven’t tried it on a treadmill yet. But I definitely recommend this to any runner or someone that wants to stay or get into shape. 👍🏼

I can’t find any other watches like this it’s really good when I play soccer every day even if you’re not very active it’s still good it tracks all kinds of things. On the app you can join groups and friend other people you can change your watch face to all kinds of things you can challenge other people too like a step challenge or any other challenge I highly suggest this app

There was a really annoying bug recently but they fixed it pretty quick. Feels like they're always making this app a little bit better every time, tbh. Compared to how this app was 2-3 years ago, it's a lot better. App/watch face discovery could be a lot better though. Feels hard to find anything by searching. If something isn't in one of the (growing) predefined categories you're gonna have a hard time trying to find what you're looking for.

There was a prompt on the app that asked about my experience with three faces smiley flat and sad face. Usually, you see the smiley face on the right side, so I accidentally ended up clicking the sad face which is on the right side for you guys. If possible, change it up and put the smiley face on the right side. Otherwise the app is great thank you!

I like the sheer volume of watch faces and have found several I like. My only issue is not being able to customize the fields in Face It. I would prefer to show a day/date as opposed to date only. I’d also like to add a field other than steps below the time. Perhaps this could be an update? I’ll still use the app as its truly handy and the costs aren’t bad for the ones that want payment. If you don’t want customization, this is perfect.

Find what you like download it and it actually works. I’ve never been lost again! The confidence to drop a pin and walk away from my car in any direction in the forest is a very reassuring thing becomes fun. Go look for mushrooms Look for some huckleberries find someone’s dog. The Search is over, I’ve tried all the other brand fitness/sports watches. Some are just plain overrated in my opinion. The main thing I look for in a fitness watch is the ability to hold a long charge. Garmin, by far is what’s best for me. Tracking, watch faces, navigation, music… I can go on and on. Man… what I’m trying to say is, I am in love with my Garmin!

Pros: centralized view of all athletic data, interactive graphics As a former Apple Watch user, I am very much enjoying the Garmin Connect experience. Unlike other reviewers who struggled connecting the app to their iPhone, I was up and connected with minimal time/effort and love the centralized view of all my athletic data. This app provides everything I need to support my training efforts.

The watch faces are really cool, but the functionality is really what impressed me with this watch. I love when the app plans my routes for me. All I have to do is put in the desired distance and it will find a route close to the desired distance, allowing for a less monotonous running experience from day to day.

This app is amazing to have. It is simple, easy to use, and super fun to have. I love being able to switch up my watch screen. It is also super cool that you can use a screen someone else has made but also able to customize your own. I would highly recommend this app.

My favorite feature of this neat app is the myriad customizable watch faces. In the last few days, however, the watch has displayed the faces created with Face it with one minor problem: The custom colors selected are displayed properly on the phone but default to the usual black or white when displayed on the watch. The black tip of the second hand disappears over dark parts of the background.

This app is great! It helps alot with picking fun garmin watch faces but not all of them fit my watch. You should start making a version of every watch face that will fit all the watches. For example I have a forerunner 45S and not all of the cute watch faces fit my watch. it is very unfair in my opinion that not all of them fit or look good on mine. I hope you take my thought into consideration.

Nice watch and nice app

This is amazing, but there are some adjustments needed. First, we need an option to add watch faces to favourites. I’d love to quickly find ones I like for later install, or notifications even when they go on sale. Second, there needs to be some sort of internal pay system to protect customers. Linking to 3rd parties for payment directly to creators is a bit cumbersome.

This app was not much to write home about a few years ago. Garmin has done a lot of good things to it over time, and it is now a very functional platform that supports all things Garmin. I like that users can now purchase faces and other features directly from the app, and there are certainly many more quality faces and widgets available. I like this app and I return to it regularly. Highly recommended. PK

I love the app and all the cool things I can play around with. But it needs some fixing. I have had my watch for two months and I had to uninstall and reinstall the app 6 times as it tells me my watch is not connected. It would be nice if I can just hit a button to RECONNECT rather than uninstall and reinstall the app. Also, if the face watches are not downloading and pairing with your phone it should go automatically to your factory screen instead of looking at a screen that tells you “Put your watch face here with Face it.”

The app had an issue when scrolling for new apps/faces where it would jump back up to the top of the list. After reaching out, they had their team look into it and it’s been fixed! Thank you so so much for fixing this issue!

First off, let’s be clear, this isn’t an app but rather a digital torture device. You’d think an app from a multi-billion dollar company would be at least marginally better than one built by Jerry and Cleetus in the shed behind their mom’s house, but you’d be wrong. The first problem is the constant trouble syncing. Over and over you’ll get the little red circle with an exclamation point, and despite doing everything from hitting retry to reinstalling the app it’ll keep happening. Now whether it’s actually struggling to sync or just claiming to be struggling to sync I can’t say. Even when I receive the error icon I can still send data back to my phone, so who knows, maybe it’s syncing maybe it’s not. Secondly, the IQ App Store will not display apps it doesn’t believe are compatible with your device, even if they claim to be, and if you round about find the apps you want by using your browser it won’t let you download them. In my case I have an Edge Explore unit which should be compatible with the Bontrager light control app according to the compatible device listing on the app data page, but the IQ App Store disagrees, and insists I add a compatible device to my account to download the app. This leads to my last gripe; good luck getting support. Garmin is more than happy to take your 200, 300, 500 dollars, but they’re sluggish in assisting you with getting it or this required app to work.

This app worked well for a few months. I was able to install and customize apps and watch faces on my Garmin Venu SQ. Then, today, for no apparent reason it just stopped working. When I start the app, it goes to the “Welcome” screen, asking me to read the EULA, as if it were the first time I’ve used it. I go through that, and get to the settings screen for my watch face, but when I ‘Save’ my changes I’m immediately taken right back to the Welcome screen. (And, of course, my changes are not saved or applied to my watch.) I’ve rebooted my watch AND my phone, updated my Garmin apps, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, and even deleted and reconnected my device. No change. I’m really regretting my Garmin purchase at this point (and I’ll definely warn anyone who asks to steer clear of their watches). UPDATE: This app continues to be horrible. Things seemed to be working fine, then one day my watch wouldn’t connect to my phone. Nothing worked, so I restarted my watch. Now, although I previously had several watch faces installed and configured just how I wanted them, this app now says I have 0 watch faces installed. Yep, they’re all GONE. And I can’t find any way to get them back. Nice work, Garmin - top notch product you have here.

This app has two primary functions and its poor at both of them. Function 1: Face It You're supposed to be able to design your own watch face and install it on your watch. But the design is more limited in its options than the design-it-yourself option that lives on the watch already. And even if you use this feature, when you attempt to install that watch face, the app just says "installing" for over 30 minutes. Retry, same thing. Restart app and retry, same thing. Function 2: Select apps and download them to your watch. a) The apps listed include those who want permission to send/receive to/from the Internet, access data from other apps, run in the background even when not being used, etc. This app shouldn't allow such invasive 3rd party apps. b) The filter for apps when you're searching is very limited. You can enter text to search for and sort by rating/popularity. But there's no option to filter in/out apps that charge money. This app doesn't list how much those apps charge. There's no option to filter in/out apps that require this/that permission. There's no option to sort/filter based on Developer. c) Even when you find an app to download, it's usually put into a download queue that can take hours to process instead of just downloading it immediately. The watch itself is GREAT but try to use it without this app.

I've had a Venu Sq (square) and this app for a month. The app is geared toward watches with round type faces and does not provide an option to look for apps or faces for square type faces. I sometimes have to guess whether an app or watch face will fit to a square format because the information is not provided or difficult to find. The watch face customizable option limits photos that can be used as backgrounds : only provides an analogue and digital clock format, the month and date, the battery percentage, the amount of steps walked, and the distance walked : has only 9 color options for the second hand/ digits and the day of the month alone : only provides 4 fonts for the digital clock and nothing else. I have had issues with downloading and installing apps and watch faces 90% of the time. Usually it partially downloads and then glitches and resets, or it takes many hours to download (often overnight). 60% of the time it won’t sync to my watch because “something went wrong, please try again.” and causes my watch to disconnect/ drop the Bluetooth connection from my iphone. It does provide a good variety of athletic geared watch faces and apps, but it lacks a variety of non-athletic watch faces and apps (such as a functioning weather app or fashionable backgrounds). There is no advertised feature allowing a user to become a developer and design and upload a custom watch face or app. I do not recommend this app to casual users in it’s current state. Garmin is well known and liked by athletes and those tracking their athletic training, but this app has a long way to go to match the flexibility of it’s competitors.

The whole experience of the Connect IQ store feels like it was made by Larry, Moe, and Curly in their mom’s basement. Here’s the issues I have with Connect IQ. (For reference, I have a Fēnix 6 Standard Edition) 1. It is very unstable and buggy. a. There are many watch faces that I would prefer to use from Connect IQ, but they make navigating anywhere from the watch face very slow (even watch faces made by Garmin themselves.) Therefore I just resort to using the stock watch faces. b. Even widget glances downloaded from the store will add delays to the UI. 2. The face it tab in the store could also use some improvements… a. It should take advantage of the round watch screen to where you can angle the metrics and clock on top of being able to move them around. b. there needs to be like a grid to help with centering the metrics and clock. c. There needs to be better shading/contrast of the metrics and clock because they are hard to see against the picture you add. d. There needs to be more metrics instead of just steps and the date. 3. When downloading apps there isn’t even a progress bar to show how much the app has downloaded. In general, the overall quality of this app is trash and I expect way better for a $500 watch.

That is all this app does well. Although it offers a dedicated place yo find useful apps for your Garmin devices, the majority of custom watchfaces and apps that require payments do so via Garmin Pay as the only option... Garmin Pay is simply useless! Too many limitations to link supported banks/cards, and many of those which you can finally link are done so "partially". IF/when fully linked, purchase attempts usually "fail to process". I don't know if this is a region specific issue (US), but it's frustrating and not worth the dozens of calls and redirects between banks and Garmin "support", and so much wasted time in troubshooting attempts. There are plenty of payment solutions available for Garmin to implement for its users... they should at least try to listen to feedback.

For the most part, I love the app but what really irks me is that under the strength training tab, they have a whole bunch of exercises I’ve never heard of but no ability to manually enter exercises. For example: try to enter or find incline bench press…. You’ll find a couple odd exercises that are similar enough for me to know that if I use it, it really means incline bench press. I just want simple and to be able to type in the exercises I do and not have to search through a litany of fancy sounding names and not what I want. This shocks me too because everything else I’ve ever used from Garmin has been super simple and user friendly! Garmin, please fix this! I’ll be happy to write another review after you do!

I used this app for 18 months with no issues, but lately, it has been crashing at least once per week. In order to get it working again I have to delete and reinstall. Features within the app have become problematic as well: The “add data” feature on “my Day” often won’t open the function that I want to update. So I may click on hydration or blood pressure and it will simply return to the home page with no options for updates. I get around this by scrolling to the bottom and selecting “edit my day” then canceling the page. Then I can add new data. While on the subject of “edit my day” I have turned off both “yesterday’s statistics” and “last seven days statistics” but the app stubbornly continues to show “last seven days”. Overall, a product that I once would have given a 5 is now at best a 3. I find another app with similar features that works with my watch, I would strongly consider using that instead of the garmin app. My watch is a Venu SQ I am using an IPhone XS and running the latest update of IOS 16.

There is certainly a range of watch faces to choose from. However, when I attempt to create my own watch face from an image on my phone, I am left with only choosing the time, step counter, and date. For such an advanced watch, I would hope the app would allow you to add more data to the watch face (and allow you to adjust the angle). With a circular watch face, I may want to angle my pedometer display vertically (or curved around the bottom of the display) rather than just a flat horizontal piece. I would love to see this developed more to make the user experience much more enjoyable/functional. I would also pay for licensed watch faces (Marvel/DC) if that were an option…

My husband bought me the Venu sq and I was excited to personalized the watch face. I go looking for some squared faces and there is none, the only ones I could find ask for payment options and redirect you to a website and it just seems sketchy. Not only that, the app says my watch is downloading 30 apps... I just dowloaded this app and it has 30 pending apps? It would make sense if could see what apps are these but nowhere to find that list. Okay, so let's wait and see the downloaded apps and if they don't work for me just delete them, nope, they are taking forever to download... I tried creating my own face watch but it is not working... I guess I should go back to apple watch cause it is taking forever to do one simple task...

First off, what app have a second app just for watch faces and extras for the watch?!?! Tired to upload a hiking app several months ago and removed the app and uninstalled the hiking app from the app. After not being able to get the app to stop instillation, I had to wait for a complete upload and then remove because it was crashing my phone. Tonight, wanted to see if I could put a photo on the watch face and once again, the app failed, couldn’t stop instillation once stated then had to delete the app again. Frustrating is saying it nice when it comes to this app. It has so much potential, but not there yet. Most in app purchases have less the 3 stars per app. Garmin watch is amazing but don’t use the extras they try to sell yeah, it’s by a 3rd party.

I bought a Garmin Vivoactive and although the watch worked well for fitness stuff, this app was the reason I left Garmin. It's quite infuriating to say the least. Garmin definitely isn't a smartwatch platform and if you've used this app, you'd understand. It's like using an old Windows 95 computer compared to the smartwatch platforms we have today. It's just a pain to sync watch faces back and forth. It's cumbersome to change complications. And good luck on getting the temperature complications to work. It's like you need a computer science degree. Garmin makes great fitness tracking devices but it needs help in the software department. Garmin would be wise to invest much more into this part of their platform.

What happened to all the free watch faces? This used to have about half the apps and watch faces for free. Now I can hardly find anything free. I don’t mind paying for something I like but at least let me try it first. It’s also a difficult app to use. The search function is useless unless you know the exact name of the face (not easy to do since they are all weirdly named). There’s no section for free apps / faces either. You have to scroll through the whole list, which is clunky and loads slow. I’ve had a lot of Garmin Watches of the years but this app makes me want to throw my watch away.

So first I have to install Connect, then I have to install Connect IQ. Then I have to load Playrun. Then I can’t even manage Playrun on the app, I have to go to Playrun website on a browser to manage my podcasts which won’t even show me which podcasts I’ve already listened to (I have to guess which ones and add and remove to my playlist based on my faulty memory.) Then the playlist doesn’t even automatically load. I have to spend needless time on my Watch trying to figure out how to sync the podcasts which when I finally figure out it then takes way too long to sync. Could you have any more needless steps?!?!?!?!

I’m running the app on an iPhone 13, have previously been able (on older iPhone models) to get the device to sync with my garmin, but it shows no device paired, and when I try to add a device I get a screen that says “Server Connection Error” and that it’s having problems talking to the garmin content server…this has been going on for many months without a change. Deleting and reinstalling the app does nothing, getting a new watch and setting it up in Garmin Connect does nothing…I’m at a bit of a loss. Short of getting a new phone I’m not sure how to access Garmin IQ to download new fields, apps or watch faces…

I’m having problems customizing the metrics on my watch faces. I noticed the problem with a recent download and thought it must be the individual watch face issue. So I uninstalled the watch face, reinstalled and tried again. Same issue. I then attempted to customize other watch faces that I had previously been able to customize and had the same issues. Anytime I hit settings to customize the faces the app stays on a black screen. This happens for any watch face I install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the connect IQ app and am still having issues.

Garmin needs to take lessons from Apple. I bought a new Instinct 3 AMOLED and love the watch, but if you try to purchase a third party watch face, you will be praying to the watch gods to get it installed. I have purchased 3 watch faces so far. 1 was free and the other 2 were paid. For the paid ones, they were stuck on “your order is processing “ for hours even though I received the confirmation email. If you try to contact support from Garmin or from the dev, they will just point fingers to each other. I had to hard reset my watch and re-pair it to the app to get the watch faces to install. YMMV.

My new Venu 2 Plus has a “Not Connected” status whenever I try to manage my device within the IQ app. I’ve triple checked that Bluetooth permissions are granted for this app, and I haven’t had any issue linking my watch to the regular Garmin Connect App— just IQ. After a google search, it seems other new Venu 2 plus owners are having this same issue. Not a great first experience with Garmin even though I like the watch itself. I’ll re-review this app when the issue is fixed, but for now the app is basically unusable because I cannot properly customize and add features to my new watch.

There seemed to be a bug that the app keeps asking for feedback. At first I selected Ask Me Later and it did so next time I landed on the Home Screen. Then I selected Don’t Ask Again and it proceeded to ask me next time I landed on the Home Screen. Finally I gave it a Poor rating as I’m trying to search for apps for my garmin watch, not keep rating the experience of the app. Update: closing and reopening the app seems to have fixed this.

Got a new watch and decided to create a watch face for it. Updated the app and now, whenever I open it it is switching between two versions of the app and it is saving the designs I make on each version separately. It keeps changing between the versions randomly when I open and close the app. The first version has plenty of options to edit and design watch faces, very good but when I try to download my designs, my watch shows it is downloading the design before eventually stopping. The other version successfully downloads the designs I create but there are virtually no editing options and I cannot make a decent looking watch face. I don’t understand why this is happening and when the help section “loads”, it says there’s no information. There isn’t anyway to contact someone to find out what is happening either. Just want to know what is happening and how to fix it, thanks.

When it works well, it works. However, since the last release, the FaceIt app doesn’t work at all. Each time I try to update or change watch faces, the app hangs and the watch doesn’t update. More times than not I get a message “installation still in progress, check device later.” Why is this so difficult to update a watch that is allegedly connected via Bluetooth? Once again Garmin disappoints.

My Instinct Solar does not show up when I go to My Devices. It shows that I don’t have any device connected. When I click to manage devices all I get is a link to Garmin support even though I can use the Garmin Connect app with it just fine. Tried removing the watch from Bluetooth connection and just get more of the same. I see other reviews for the same problem from over a year ago and Garmin still can’t seem to figure this out. As others have pointed out….why isn’t all of this in the Garmin Connect app so we can manage it all from the same place?

My watch changed to a watch face I’ve never seen in my life, and won’t let me install the one watch face I have and like. It wouldn’t show me any miles for runs until I synced my watch, on my watch it would just show a ? In a diamond next to my run and during my run in the run app it would just start counting up crazy numbers instead of 1.2 miles. I managed to fix this problem at least in the question mark diamond thing but just syncing it to kilometers and back to miles but I want my watch face back and a normal running count. It won’t let me sync anything and I’m afraid to uninstall and try again

Garmin watches are great, their apps are trash. The last update on this one has made everything sit in queue forever and never officially update to my watch. Also, 3rd party apps are having insane issues so good luck with that. Next, whatever firmware updates Garmin released do not help other developers. Pay-for watch faces might have better results, but not always. Heck, weather and sunrise/sunset data isn’t even working on ANY watch face I use including Garmin’s crappy watch faces. Garmin is really testing me lately on continuing to use their product or use another brand.

Lately, each time I try to connect to this app, for instance to change settings on my watch face, it throws my fenix 3 into rebooting mode, and I am getting a message “ network connection error” on the Connect IQ, followed by “ We had problems loading settings to this device, try again”. every freaking time irregardless of the Wi-Fi network I am on, so I know it’s not my Wi-Fi net work it’s day, her net work, and how they connect with Garmin devices. Very annoying and unfortunately making all my loaded contacts useless since I cannot change settings.

This app use to be nice. Now it's just 3rd party watch face scammers trying to get you to pay $1-$5 for a watch face they don't upstate which I guess is nonrefundable. Good luck making a purchase and getting something useful. I've bought 8 watch faces. Zero work. Finally just caved for a high rated free one which brings me to the biggest complaint of all: There is a top paid section for everything but no way to filter by free. I paid $1600 for my watch being able to sort by free should be an option. It's not a ridiculous ask.

Another customization app that looks as though it was created by 3rd graders. What is the use of this unless you’re able to utilize the components that Garmin implements to create watch faces? You can customize hour and minute fonts, but you can’t customize seconds font. Dumb. No uniformity to the look of the watch face. Complications look generic. Heart icon, battery icon, etc. No week bar for date? Lame. Basically, the user should be able to layer all components the way they want, and that Garmin uses for the look of their watch faces. Another wasted app I suppose.

Cool you can pick from thousands of watch faces and customize them to your liking, but tone it down with the payment required stuff. I like to change watch faces every couple months - it’s tough to do so when the app is flooded and 80-90% payment required watch faces that are $5-$8 each. Plus the countless exact replicas of the same watch faces over and over. I appreciate the work it takes to make and develop these faces, but $8 per watch face on watches that are already $300-$1500…

But here this awful company, Garmin, has completely sidestepped the Apple App Store with this grossly inferior App Store knock off for their watch which comes with really ugly watch faces. Completely disgusted.

So so apps and no ability to filter for what apps work on your device.

Works well to manage your watch faces but most watch faces now require payment and don’t come with a tryout and the prices have pretty much doubled.

Move to a subscription model. Pay $1000’s for devices than keep bleeding the customer. Woof.

Why I have a problem this app that you already use more than a year

Literally the worst app i have ever downloaded. The watch face would not install on my Forerunner 255s even though it says it’s compatible. Had to completely reset my watch snd lost all my data. Beware!

Connect IQ keep causing Fenix 3 Hr keep rebooting once the app attempts to connect to the watch. Problem resolved after removed the app, and don’t installed the Connect IQ app again. If I installed Connect IQ app again, Fenix 3 hr start keep rebooting again and again, never stop rebooting itself. Connect app has no such issue, only the Connect IQ app have such issue. Connect app already stated Fenix 3 hr has the latest firmware and no update needed.

It would be great if the Garmin app would allow adding more than 8 daily alarms for medical reminders. Not very inclusive.

I was surprised to see that there's an app to load the bible onto your watch (I guess as an audiobook?), which seemed like a pretty obscure app compared to Apple Music which must have more users or at the very least, a more diverse group of users. As I don't use Spotify, (or Amazon music, which I didn't even realize was a service) I was pretty bummed to see that Apple Music wasn't available. Please integrate with Garmin so I can use this feature on my watch for running, etc.

Aside from looking like an app made for an iphone 3G, it has zero navigation and zero filtering. Meaning it shows you everything useless you can't even install, what's the point

If I’m connected to the watch via Bluetooth, why does the app need to be online in order to adjust watch face settings that are installed on my watch? Im out of service a lot and most of my watch faces can’t be adjusted on the watch. Very inconvenient and unnecessary. Please fix.

App was good until the settings page became blank. I can no longer change the settings on my downloaded apps, data fields or watch faces

Any chance you folks can make apps that work with an iPad Pro in a standard landscape mode (which is normal with the keyboard)? Since I now work online, my iPad has replaced my computer and phone. It’s a bit lame to have to turn it sideways and pretend it’s a quarter of its actual size when using Garmin apps. Thanks.
