Unwavering top notch customer serviceThe news about doorbell thumbnail images being uploaded to eufy cloud was alarming… however people need to know that Eufy is on top of this and making sure customers are aware that 1. They have a choice about selecting thumbnails or not, and 2. Eufy is not trying to steal personal information . The thumbnails go to their cloud storage just long enough to send them to phone apps and then they are deleted. I researched all the major security cameras before I bought a eufy system 2 years ago. I chose eufy because I could store all the data locally. Cloud storage is optional. I even drowned my indoor blink camera in a bowl of water before discarding it (I hate that technology winds up in landfills but there you have it). I had trouble with one of my first cameras and eufy replaced it immediately. They even replaced the mounting hardware at no charge even though the issue was mine rather than theirs. Today I talked to customer service rep David R. And my total confidence in Eufy is restored. No hardware is ever going to be perfect in the age of cyber theft but I’m confident that Eufy will be a leader. By the way, their batteries are Anker products and I have confidence in Anker as well. Power surge protectors, portable battery chargers for cellphones and tablets, and long lasting security camera batteries. Well done..Version: 4.5.3

Works well but have some suggestionI love all my Eufy security cams, I currently have 4 on my house that I am able to monitor most all areas except for private rooms inside and out of my home and it’s great to be able to check into my dog at home and the backyard or front yard for packages or just to feel more secure knowing my home is safe. Having said that the only issue that I would love to see an option for is a very simple user interface correction or bare minimum toggle option to go in and select ALL recordings to delete them or do whatever other tasks one might do. It is a tedious and annoying task to go through each day individually, hit select all, hit delete then have to wait two seconds for the pop up at the top screen to clear so I can click back another day to eventually clear all data when I want to. I understand videos after so many months gets deleted but also having 99+ on all of my cameras is a bit of a pet peeve of mine and it feels nice to occasionally go into the app and just delete everything saved on the drives. Please Eufy talk to your app devs and see if this small update can be done because it’s the easiest functionality to add for them and would make tons of peoples small amount of OCD love Eufy that much more. You can have the best hardware in the world but if your user interface to work it has annoyances left and right then the overall product looses users. Overall Eufy gets 8/10 so far though and I’d recommend it to anyone!.Version: 4.7.1

OptionsThis is all New to me unfortunately I’ve had to get security cameras on my home after 33 years. I had some misfortune and now neighbors are just being plain ugly leaving all kinds of insulting things at my house around my front door main thing sad for no reason. hence I have to have proof for the police that have come here each night for the past five nights in time after time have to have proof. what’s so funny is nothing has been stolen it’s just for instance a huge shopping cart of trash left in my front door outside my screen porch front I’ve had a stolen bicycle put on my property so the thief that took it come back and get it later I’ve had can Tainer‘s of gasoline put in the back of the pick up truck so the thief could come back and use it for a moped of his now this thief is a squatter. i’ve never been the kind of person that has to show out but I am very good at doing it because of the upbringing I had in the schools I went to junior high school especially. The one thing I do wish is it would move with like a car I wish it would move with the motion of the car. I haven’t even had them for one week yet but so far so good because a month ago I was actually using my phone to follow cars that I thought might look suspicious and I did very good at that. also I was I had already gotten into almost a contract with ADT my daughter is the one that said hey want to try this thank God I did thank you again..Version: 4.6.7

Good but some things are annoying!I love having the wired doorbell and as a single mother I was able to install myself, it has great instructions. However, it takes some time to adjust your settings to how you like. I would receive too many notifications w motion detected when the wind blows so i set it to human onmy moderate sensitivity, but it only starts recording the event once they’re basically at the door. I’d rather it be from when they’re at least on the porch. I lowered the sensitivity so perhaps that will help. But my main issues would be there seems to be a lag at times when you get the notification there is a human or the doorbell was rung from when the app will open and load the camera… I have a good wifi connection too. It also seems to lag a lot or may not even work when using the quick response. I just had someone at my house late at night ringing the doorbell and it seemed like the quick responses weren’t working. I opened the two way communication and that works well, the lag doesn’t seem to be bad. But then Later I noticed the recording stops once you start the conversation! Why?! That’s a main part to have the recording in case something weird is done or said that needed to be reported! I’m not sure why it stops, less than the 60 second clip I had it set up for. After Google search it seems it happens to others too when the conversation starts. At least the video is clear enough at night that you can still get a good picture of the person. But those two things can hopefully be fixed with an update. Otherwise it works well, especially for the one time price! And the app is fairly simple to use or figure out..Version: 4.2.3

Pushing the limits of technologyI never thought I would see anything like what these guys are doing. This is what happens when you lead by example. I bought these cameras because Apple sells them on there store app. Apple only sells a fraction of what eufy has to offer and that’s a shame. Buy the solar panels to recharge the cameras and forget about them, they’ll do all the work. If you know what HomeKit is then you’ll understand why I chose to go with eufy and not the Samsung video surveillance system. If you’re wondering if the solar panels work with HomeKit they do! For some reason eufys solar panels only made about 2 1/2 watts and not 10 watts which the cameras can handle but it’s irrelevant because 2 1/2 watts works just fine but I would like to know why eufy chose to do that. The app is simple and easy to use. I might sign up and pay for eufys cloud service with HomeKits cloud service which I already pay for. This would effectively give me triple redundancy. My videos would be stored on eufys cloud, iCloud and the home base 2. If someone does there homework on my home before they do they’re criminal activities they will see cameras and then just change tactics and steal my homebase 2 thinking they destroyed the evidence we would need to prosecute them. That’s ok because it’s stored on iCloud and I’ll nail them. If the purp hires a lawyer and fights and the court is awarded the right to confiscate my iCloud account and with the help of a lawyer is able manipulate the truth and I don’t receive justice guess what, that’s ok because the video is stored on my eufy account at which point I would go to the press. Take it from an ex criminal, if saw the eufy name in the house of an Apple fanatic I would move on..Version: 4.2.6

Sometimes Good Sometimes Not GoodPreface this with, when the system works as intended… Video quality for price range is good to very good. The notifications and ability to include an image with notification is something that is standard at this stage of consumer grade expectations. Local storage is much more preferable to cloud based, giving the user the ability to decide when and to whom they want to share their data with. Would like to see WAY more reliability in their homebase and app. Would also like cameras to be able to write to the Homebase 3 without requiring use of the Homebase’s connection, if the devices are already on the same network…this limits the range of the cameras by a lot if they are not using the cameras’ own storage. At the moment of this review, most recent updates have made an entire ecosystem of cameras and Homebase 3 completely inaccessible…not good and sadly not the first time. Reviews seem to be downgraded by bad actors, based on the content I’ve read and what is deemed “most useful”. It would benefit the potential end user to sort reviews by most recent and read several. There are a lot of good reasons to choose this ecosystem, but with any massively broad range of products all targeting different audiences there will be plenty of opportunities for snafu..Version: 5.0.90

Eufy is done riteI bought a 4 camera pack .Installing was provided with ample directions. Setup on 3 separate household phones was very helpful for us. Fast easy access on all phones with almost no delay was ideal. Everything is adjustable, sound from video, length of video clips. Camera night light intensity or only inferred . Intercom and even turning on/off all are available on my phone. USA made of great pride , and it shows. Battery on cameras lasts for many months before needing a charge. I live in hot wet and humid Florida and no issues on operation. Every camera is at least over 20 to 30 feet away from base unit with cement walls in between . Great signal and easy reliable notifications with very few false warnings due to human detection selections and sensitivity settings. Only issue is with front door camera , night light turns on and off in the beginning of night time video taking. Found out by swapping that all the cameras do the same thing because of night light reflections on being in corner I think. My friend has a competitor brand and Eufy was faster in app pop up, and videos started up faster, plus my sound was 100% better .Eufy thank you..Version: 1.8.1

1/2 BAKEDI hope you're listening Eufy. The camera and homekit are doing their job, but this app has not been thoroughly tested by the devs. If all features worked properly this would be a good app, but unfortunately it still needs a lot of work. There is a feature to add familiar faces so that the alarm doesn't go off every time you walk past your own camera, but that important feature doesn't work. You can add a familiar face by using the camera on your phone or tablet, but the system isn't smart enough to recognize that same face when picked up by the Eufy camera. The better way to add a familiar face is to select a face caught by the Eufy camera and save it, as the angle matches what the camera is seeing. Unfortunately this feature never works. You select the face, name it, and select the corresponding relationship, then save. At this point you get a spinning icon while the app is supposedly saving your entry. The icon spins for a very long time, then eventually ends with an error and no information saved. I am running on the latest updates to my ipados, eufy app, eufy camera, and eufy homekit, with an abundance of memory available on all the hardware. The problem is definitely with this app. So until the devs fix it we have to choose between not using the system while we're home, or getting blasted by the alarm every time we walk past the camera. Another key feature missing in this iPad version of the Eufy app is the ability to enable/disable the microphone on my SoloCam 340. Fortunately the microphone control is present and functional on the iPhone version if this app. The camera would have been a constant annoyance on windy days if I had to rely on this iPad version because the sound was activating the alarm..Version: 6.0.00

Good in a lot of ways, but really needs work on camera notifications.After 7 years my Kuna system was finally becoming unreliable enough that I wanted to replace it. Unfortunately there are very few wall light + camera options on the market, and the Eufy ones seem to be the best option nowadays since Kuna hasn’t released anything in years, and has gone even longer with updating their features. In most ways this Eufy system is an improvement, but in one glaring and extremely annoying way Kuna has Eufy beat hands down. With Kuna if motion is detected a recording is started, and you will receive one notification at the beginning of that detection. There won’t be another notification from it again unless after 45-60 seconds there is still motion, at which point it will send another. The Eufy software is not like this at all. If I walk in front of these cameras I will get a notification that motion is detected every 1-3 seconds until there is nothing moving in front of the camera again. My landscaper mowing my yard triggered over 100 notifications in a span of only 10 minutes. This barrage of notifications buzzing my phone was highly annoying, but because it is also acting as a security system I don’t want to disable it entirely. Unfortunately the only two options with this app are nothing or an unrelenting torrent of notifications. There are no settings for limiting how much time must pass after a detection by one of the cameras before it can send you another notification. This seems like such a no-brainer type feature, so I’m hopeful it will be added in the future. In the meantime I’ll slightly regret my purchase, but begrudgingly allow it to send me a few hundred notifications each day as cars drive by or birds fly around..Version: 4.8.82

Awesome Home Security system and company!!!I would like to start by saying Eufy is a great company that cares for their customers 100%. Before I buy anything I like to do my homework and after researching for days and contacting support for a few technical questions I had, we decided to buy some cameras to test them. First of all, these cameras are awesome. Great video resolution, video quality is very clear and the motion is clean. The Homebase 2 storage is fixed at 16 GB, we have been using it for about a month and it’s not even 15% of the storage. Features are great, the speakers and talk back are great. The siren alarm is loud enough to call people attention and scare whoever would like to try to steal the cameras. We love it so much that we decided to invest more in Eufy Security by getting more cameras and a doorbell 2K for our house. We are looking forward in getting the new smart door lock device that they are releasing soon I hope. Overall, this system is amazing specially on storing your videos locally not on the cloud for privacy and security. We definitely didn’t go wrong with this system. Thank you Eufy for providing a great product for the protection of our home..Version: 1.7.6

A high quality productBought this for my backyard and was impressed with the product. First of all, it is well built with high quality material. Then it functions exactly as advertised with high quality 2k video. The two way audio is superb. I use it to communicate with my kids when they are playing in the backyard, and I could hear them very clearly (our house is a two storey building and the floodlight is about 12 feet from the ground). Motion detection works great, and the light is activated at night when there is motion. The siren also works great. Setup was easy, within minutes. The app works seamlessly and it is easy to navigate. I like the idea of the internal storage, where you don’t have to be paying any subscription for iCloud. The only downsize is the 3GB internal storage limit and how it does not integrate with their Homebase 2, like their other products. This would have provided additional storage space for this product. Overall it’s a great buy for anyone looking for a high quality floodlight camera with similar capabilities as the popular ones but without the monthly subscription..Version: 2.8.2

I’m overall happy with itI did a lot of research before getting a camera. So many had mixed reviews and as a single woman who’s only slightly tech savvy I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to figure it out, but it was fairly easy! Just had to call my internet company to get me the 2.5 setting and they did that easily. It makes me feel very safe and I can keep an eye on my dogs when they are in the backyard. There are some things that could be better. My main complaint is that I wish I could snooze it for longer. 12 hours isn’t long enough. Days or weeks would be nice. I would be thrilled just to have a snooze setting for a full 24 hours because I don’t want to be notified all the time, but still want it to record events just in case I need to look back at the recordings for something. This camera did help me catch a fight between my boys and my neighbor boys. They neighbor boys tried to say my son started it, but the camera clearly caught the neighbor boy throwing the first punch. So overall a great camera and app and I’m very grateful for it..Version: 4.2.7

Possibly Best YetPros: App is reliable and laid out pretty well. Cameras feel and act high quality and hold up to Phoenix heat. Nice picture on the two I have (solocam E30 & indoor S350) 2k and 4k respectively. Tracking is super accurate. Geofencing has worked like it should. Works great with ios. No subscription! Could go on n on. AI is great and can distinguish between pet, car, people (using base 3). And by deselecting “other” for outdoor cam motion, the swaying shadow of the tree stopped triggering the cam; amazing! Triggering is very sensitive (even on medium) picking up cars down the road. Cons: audio is pretty bad; a bit garbled and like it has a strong gate on it ( to keep low noise out) before it lets audio through (wish this was adjustable). More refining notification options would be nice. Hard to explain but outdoor E30 is at roof edge over walkway; it stops following people when the cam has to tilt to far down. If AI could assume the direction of the movement and keep following general direction within its limits would be great. I may have to move camera to a more lateral position. Settings can be hard to find within menu even though its laid out pretty nice..Version: 5.0.60

Simply, The Best!!I was so indecisive about which brand security camera to get. I stood inside the store for hours researching them and looking at Eufy, Ring and Arlo. I was leaning towards Ring until I saw the monthly fee. I really wanted the flood light and I liked Eufy’s version more than Ario. After seeing some reviews on Eufy I decided to pull the trigger. I got the flood light w/ 2K camera and the two pack of pro2 2k cameras. I came home and hooked all 3 up in less than an hour. Super easy to install and set up. The resolution is amazing! The motion detection is amazing! Everything about the entire system and setup is perfect. Having the app is a bonus like no other! I can hop on and stream my cameras anywhere at anytime. The cameras have 100db loud alarms of anyone moves them. You can also manually activate the alarm or set your camera to activate the alarm for any movement. They record clips when they see any motion. You can adjust everything from the brightness of light to how long it records. It really is an amazing system and I can’t wait to add onto it. Great hardware, ok software, amazing support1) I really love the outdoor 2K camera. The colors are amazing even at night. The Eufy doorbell is decent. Overall, great value for all the 2K hardwares. 2) However, the software has a few things that I wished it has. I got rid of all of my old Nest Cams because they were chewing up my bandwidth and they were only 1K. Even though Nest Cam resolutions were terrible, the cloud suites were pretty good. You can choose which zones to monitor and the scroll bar allows you to pick which zones to seach and review. It’s quite handy. Another features Nest Hello has is that it tells you when somebody leaves you a package. I wished Eufy apps have those features. 3) Lastly, support is amazing. I had a defective Eufy Doorbell (it kept notifying me of activities when it shouldn’t have) and after a call with the support (local USA support, not overseas with a very hard to understand accent), they sent me a brand new one the very next day. And that one worked perfectly. Wow! I’m a big fan of Eufy/Anker now!.Version: 4.0.0

Annoying to Use for CamerasI can only speak to how the app is for cameras (E30 specifically) as that’s all I use it for. Very annoying to use compared to previous apps I’ve used, for playback purposes. When scrolling through hours of footage, there is no auto zoom in so good luck picking a particular time to view that’s closer than a few minutes from what you want. Also makes you select the day and doesn’t allow you to just scroll into neighboring days, you have to manually change the day. Also loves to get you stuck in the full screen playback mode where tapping the back arrow to leave it does nothing, so you need to close the app and reopen and start over. Lastly, when scrolling through time in playback mode, if you stop scrolling in an area where there is nothing recorded (or it thinks you did, it loves doing that), you just get an error. Past apps have automatically jumped to the nearest time with footage when that happens. These sound pretty minor but taken together they make playback way more annoying than it needs to be. They are also easy to implement and I have no idea why playback seems so user unfriendly..Version: 6.0.00

Suggested software improvementsOur property has two driveways. One on each side of the house. I installed a system with four cameras. One facing the front of the house, one in the back, and one on each side. During the day, there is a significant amount of foot traffic which activates the cameras many times which unnecessarily shortens usable battery service between recharges. We’ve been turning cameras off daily during these peak activity times, and turn them on in the evening and through the overnight when it is more important for them to be in service. However, we have occasionally forgotten to turn them on which can be concerning. The suggestion is to see if a schedule timer can be added to the software so that the cameras can be set to automatically turn on and off at predetermined intervals. I’m certain that there are other Eufy customers that would welcome this feature as well. With this added feature, not only will there be peace of mind knowing the cameras activate and deactivate when expected, the battery service will be extended between the need to recharge ..Version: 4.5.2

Great system but room for improvementHopefully this get read by Eufy. My most recent issue is that you updated your app and it may sound trivial. I’ve installed two cameras in my 84 yr old mom’s apartment. The cameras stay on 24/7 so there’s a lot of files to be deleted daily but you put banner message “video clips have been deleted “ a not really necessary message right over the button to select from the list of files, so every time a page full I have to wait for that message to clear since selecting all and then delete only deletes a page full. My hope is you can move or remove this message or when selecting all, it would actually select ALL. I’m sure to some this sounds trivial but when it’s something you have to deal with daily it can get annoying . I still believe Eufy is the best out there and I’m sure they are always looking for ways to improve their product but I believe the last app update was tiny step back..Version: 4.0.0

Good but needs some polishingOverall a great app. I have it partnered with the Eufy C24 outdoor wired cameras. Response is quick and reviewing notifications is responsive and straightforward. Interface is clean and well put together. My gripe is that the activity zone seems to have no effect. I set the activity zone to eliminate the street because it goes off every time a car goes by. The app completely ignores the activity zone and still sends notifications every time a car passes. I have to put my phone on silent to sleep. I have gone into the notifications section of the app to only set notifications for pets and humans-still notifies when a car passes. Turned the sensitivity way down-still sends notifications. So frustrating. It also sometimes mistakes my wife’s flower pot for an animal and was saying the carved pumpkin on the front porch was a human. Overall, I’m very happy with the cameras and app but wish the activity zone or notifications setting features would work properly so I could avoid so many unimportant notifications..Version: 4.4.9

Extremely happy with eufy!!!I purchased the Ring Doorbell/Camera and a month later stopped getting all the recorded clips as apparently it was only free for the first month. They wanted a monthly subscription to continue with the video recording gs as it gets stored in the Cloud. Luckily, I was able to return it on the 34th day and only lost about $10 for the FedEx cost to ship back. Did some research for a system that doesn’t require a monthly subscription and found eufy who are the makers of the Anker chargers of which I have 4 wall, 4 car and have gifted at least 8 to friends and family during past Christmases. Anker makes quality products so it was a no brained to go ahead and purchase eufy. It’s basically a clone of the Ring system but without the monthly subscription fee as it comes with a small base that houses a hard drive that stores the video clips for free. The base also acts as a door bell. I say that it is a clone of Ring but in fact I think it’s better than Ring... much better if you ask me!.Version: 2.6.0

Love my Eufy SystemWas looking for a way to keep an eye on my front porch. Researched all the brands, types, door bells, and options. Spent hours reading reviews and searching for deals online. Ultimately I landed on the Eufy cam system. I have been a big fan of Anker now for years with great experiences with the brand from cords, speakers, and power banks. One of the main draws of this eufy set up is that there is no monthly fees. I feel way more comfortable knowing that my video is stored safely on my eufy home unit in my home... not out in the cyber world on some cloud. Maybe just me. But anytime I can keep information and personal data in house... I’m in. I have enjoyed the app and it’s so cool to be able to access this system from anywhere with my phone. Best part is catching the kids in the act of swiping potato chip bags from our basket meant for delivery drivers. As soon as they hear daddy saying “I see you” from the camera they pretend like they were just checking on the stock. :).Version: 1.7.5

Almost perfect appI really like my eufy 2K indoor cam. And I really like the app that controls it. The interface is well thought out and the options are clear and easy to navigate. The image quality is great even while streaming, and the options of storage are plentiful, ranging between cloud, HomeKit, RTSP and SD card. Why 3 stars only? 1. The RTSP implementation is buggy. In my experience setting it is a breeze, but afterward my NAS loses communication with the camera and the only way to make it come back (briefly), is to delete the camera and add it again, from scratch. This is the only camera in my Synology that loses connection. 2. While the app has Geofencing, and it works perfectly, instead of simply shutting down the camera after you return home, the app merely stops recording events, but the camera AI is still tracking you, and, recording or not, it is frankly disconcerting to see the camera follow you around the room even if it’s true that it is not recording. I can tell it to power off manually, but then I have to remember to turn it back on before I leave the ne t day, or it will stay powered down..Version: 2.6.0

Urgent Enhancements Required for the App's PerformanceFor three years, I've relied on the Smart door lock from Eufy. I'm considering adding a doorbell and Floodlight Camera for my home, but the underperforming app is holding me back. While I appreciate Eufy's products, the persistent issue with the app has made it difficult for me to expand my device collection. The app frequently disconnects from the Wi-Fi or the devices autonomously, requiring me to manually reconnect my smartphone to the app for it to function properly. Despite setting notifications for door lock and unlock events, I often miss them due to this issue, which persists even after repeated attempts on different smartphones. The reliability of the app is crucial, as it serves as the control center for our Eufy devices. Without a functioning app, the appeal of smart products diminishes significantly. I strongly urge the developers to address these issues promptly, as it may negatively impact the business if left unattended. Its ok - ad focusThis is a mixed review, I like parts of the app and there are other parts that are very annoying. The app itself isn’t bad. It loads a little slow and the alerts from the cameras can come in slow. Or sometimes you’ll get a notification but after you open the app, there won’t be a video. The video section also doesn’t always show all videos or will show stills from one camera on another. The app has also gotten very ad forward. Meaning they are putting their ads in front of what you want to do and making trying to sell more to you more important than what the customer went to the app to do. So you have to get past or wait for the ad so you can dismiss it just to get to whatever action you intended to do such as look at a recording. As for recordings, as long as you watch it through it works fine. However try to reverse, or move forward , or any change to the playback and the video won’t start playing but any audio and the timeline will advance. The video eventually catches up but by then you’ve missed what you wanted to see. There also isn’t a way to reach support in the app easily. Managing different devices in the companies family of devices requires different apps and they all have a multiple step process to switch to other devices. On the other side, the motion capture works pretty well. The cameras themselves work well. The update process is seamless. Overall it’s not bad just some frustrating pieces..Version: 5.0.32

DoorbellMy 1080p video doorbell sound just completely stop working they visitor can hear me but I can’t hear them I powered cycled it and checked all my audio setting and it still don’t work I spoke with eufy and the rep said they would send me a replacement I then asked if I received the replacement first and she definitely said yes but when I received an email from them and this is what it said this is very disappointing this replacement can take up to 10 days after they receive the defective one and for them to revive that can take up to 5 to 7 days additional wth This means I will have no doorbell for at least 10 to 15 days what is going on with this company. (Please send the defective doorbell back to us so our product engineers can analyze it and discover why this happened. I have attached a prepaid label for you. Poor detection, poor geofencing, confusing navigationI recently submitted some feedback to inform the development team that when “humans only” detection is on, inanimate objects are detected as people. I received an automated response with a bunch of useless suggestions. It was clear that no one actually read the message and had telltale signs of an AI chat bot response. Inanimate objects are detected as people. Geofencing rarely works. When I leave it won’t always turn on or when I return it rarely turns off. Sometimes I’ll get one or the other but never both. App navigation is confusing. For example, I wanted to adjust the pan and tilt settings. My first instinct as a user and with several years of frontend software engineering experience was to find the camera. All I could get to was the video preview. So I tapped the settings button on the camera preview window. Nothing. It turns out you have to disable privacy mode and watch the video stream in order to access the pan and tilt settings. The UI has five tabs. Two out of five are for their store to try to sell more of their products and services. They could have been condensed into one. The video preview thumbnail doesn’t update itself. You have to open the preview to watch the live stream to update the thumbnail. It can be unnerving to open the app and see a person there only to realize it was someone who was with you when you left the home..Version: 6.0.40

Support is superb, product okayUnfortunately I had a poor experience with the actual product. The geofencing doesn’t work properly with two phones- when my wife leaves the house it switches to away until I open the app, then it switches to gone again. Live video is several minutes delayed. Detected motion gets saved as video clips which are recorded but unable to be downloaded in the app. I would ordinarily rate this as 1 star. But from interacting with tech support, I cannot rate Eufy any lower than 4 stars. Despite my issues, Eufy support was truly great. While I’ve decided to return the product and try other brands on the market, I won’t forget how good support is for this product line. It was a tough decision to try something else. If other products are not up for the task, the Eufy tech support team has me convinced to reconsider trying this again. Thanks for everything- I may see you again some time..Version: 5.1.10

Human/Pet Detection Software Is BadMy primary reason for having a camera other than general security purposes is to check on my pets whenever I’m not home. Unfortunately the software has a really hard time differentiating between a human & an animal. About 90% of the time it says someone has been detected rather than a pet. I feel like it’s pretty easy to distinguish a cat or rabbit from a human. The other camera systems I’ve had in the past had 0 issues doing so. And this was 5 years ago. A.I. has come extremely far since then & it should be easier than ever. I end up getting 150 notifications a day saying someone has been detected which just saturates my notification feed. So if someone actually ever did break in I would get the motivation & probably wouldn’t even check to see because I get the same notification 1000 times a day for my pets. I really hope they put the small amount of time & effort into this to fix it soon because I really like my cameras..Version: 5.0.23

Works well, wish notification options were betterThis app works well and has been a great asset to us for a few years now while caring for our Alzheimer’s Grandpa in his apartment downstairs in our home. My biggest frustration is the inability to pause notifications for different devices. For instance, we have myself and a couple of caregivers who all have the same login for this account. It would be nice while a caregiver is off of work, for them to have the ability to pause notifications until they are on the clock without having to adjust the notifications for everyone who is still actively caring for him. This means while caregivers are off of work with family, notifications continue to ping sometimes every few seconds while he is moving in front of the camera or if the TV is on in the room. for now, the only way they can stop it completely. Sent the S330 Camera Back to the StoreAfter a week of putting a lot of time trying to set up the S330 system (app/camera settings, locations, angles, etc), I returned this product. 1). Slow video activation. Video doesn’t record until I’m 10-20% into camera’s field of view. 2). Inconsistent video activation. Even with Activation Zones setup, sometimes it records, sometimes it doesn’t. In one instance I was half way into my patio door before the camera started recording.(BTW, the camera was setup at 7’ high, approx. 12’ from the door). Positives: A) Fantastic battery life. (With the built in solar panel, I never had to manually charge the cameras, they stayed 100% charge. It’s the reason I kept holding out hope that I could make this work for my application.) B) really good live image quality C) color night vision is nice D) good customer service. From a security standpoint, I just can’t suggest this product..Version: 4.7.0

The app has no ability to perform routine functionsThe cameras are great. The app is horrible and prevents you from customizing your setup as needed. You can’t implement logical use cases in automation. then tediously delete events by day while they only display a maximum of 20 events, so a lot of “select all 20 events, delete, load the next 20 events and select all and delete. Then, choose the next day and repeat, It can take hours to delete events within a 3 month timeframe. Because You can only delete recorded events by individual day, not a date range. No functionality to “only store events from the last 3 months and auto delete all older events. Basic expected functionality is severely missing so you are limited I don’t think they have a User experience team. this app limits the full potential. Very frustrating. The R&D team don’t seem to use Eufy in real life situations otherwise they would see how weak, frustrating, and lack of needed functionality this app has. No logic to its design and they don’t seem to add needed functionality to the app, just bug fixes, which causes more bugs and you can’t do anything to triage the bugs that create a large security problem when cameras decide not to record intermittently after it updates. I could pay a high schooler to make a better more functional, reliable app than this even if it is their first App they have attempted to create..Version: 4.6.9

Problems with Cameras that have onboard storageThis version 5.0.32 is much slower to load than previous versions. It also has a problem replaying “event videos “ stored on a spotlight cam E 2K camera with 4gb onboard storage. The playback has an error near the end of each and every video and goes into an endless loop trying to complete that process. This problem does not exist on an iPhone using an earlier version of this app. Eufy support concluded the camera was problematic and should be replaced. I don’t agree as it works fine on other versions of this App. They need to fix this App ASAP..Version: 5.0.32
