This app is a down right necessity for interior designers or decorators. It even allows you to clip right out of the digital mag!!! And save pictures! I love it!!!
As a retired interior designer, I’ve been reading this magazine for years.
I enjoy reading ELLE Decor from cover to cover.
Elle Decor is hands-down one fine "shelter" publication, and has been for some time now. I still get the print version to tear apart for ideas. The app works very well, maybe not as cutting-edge as some with those rub & reveal features, etc. That said...this app will not disappoint because the magazine content is so good. Thought-provoking, classic or contemporary. Very nicely done.
Save images to your Pinterest boards....keep your back issues for later-Great App with lot's of easy to access bonus features

It was a little difficult to transfer my subscription to digital. I am finally able to view the magazine and I love it!!
I love the fact that I can read this magazine wherever I am. Blow up the pictures for close up view, and an archives to review over and over again. Love the App. It works.
As always beautiful photographs of inspiring spaces. Loved the fact that you can scroll down and view the whole contents page. Very easy to navigate.
It's easy to enjoy the magazine. You can enjoy the ads too; it helps find a local store if it's in your budget.
I love my ability to share on Pinterest and with a friend. It's great marketing as well because it drives interest to the magazine. Love it. And it works, unlike a lot of the magazine apps I have to restart over and over.
Generally good quality as digital magazine go however articles are slow to load.
ELLE Decor Magazine US Negative Reviews and Ratings
This app was difficult to get to work for the last several issues, page flipping nearly impossible due. Now I can’t navigate the magazine with the Table of Contents and I can’t swipe from page to page to page turn either. This issue is unreadable! I am only able to jump to features listed on the cover of the magazine. Very frustrating!
The magazine is not easy to navigate. I have to scan to get to articles ( I guess). I press on topics and nothing happens--text gets larger. Can your developer make the magazine more accessible and more intuitive? It is necessary for online use.
This ap was fine until a couple updates ago, it used to be a virtual magazine and you could simply swipe through the pages. Now it is a navigational nightmare. So much so that i want to unsubscribe, yet, almost comically, that has been made nearly impossible. I am asked for a password I never made to begin with, and there is no option to retrieve said password. Bravo guys! Killing it!
I love Elle Decor Magazine, but it’s hard to enjoy the digital version on my iPad when the app freezes up. I can only get through a few pages before having to reboot the app. Please fix this. Zooming in to get a good look at details, forget about it. It freezes up.
I will just continue to kill trees and go back to print as the online version is horrid. Actually it only allows me to read it offline, which makes for painfully slow navigation and the only content that seems to work are the adverts. Such a shame as I was looking to go paperless and be efficient. Alas....
Yes you are one big advertising drill but the AP is so “PAGE VIEW” unfriendly. I just want to take each page in, and not have to scroll, and not afraid to touch to enlarge and be taken to a website. I am actually so VERY unhappy with the changes over the years that I would rather go back to print, but likely I will just cancel.
Was planning to get an annual subscription but thankful for the free trial. There are pages and pages of ads - I have spent longer scrolling past them than seeing any content. Will be canceling my trial immediately. What a shame.
I I paid for a yearly subscription. As soon as I cancelled it Elle took all the issues I paid for away from me. I don’t have the ability to see them again without paying again forbthosevissurslm
This magazine, for a while quite elegant, has made the incomprehensible decision to place a garish blue band over the pages viewed online. I used to look forward to new issues, now I dread the struggle with the horrid blue band always in the way.
Ads grind the experience to a halt and they can’t be avoided. They take a long time to load and you have to press “done” to actually leave many of the ad pages. Hate it. No fun to browse. The Architectural Digest app is far superior.
I have purchased the digital Elle decor but it has been impossible to open the app. The page keeps sending me back to “subscribe” although I am logged in. It’s a waste of time.
App will not recognize my password. Unable to read last issue! Web page confirms subscr active and password ok.
For no discernible reason
So why
Is there a way to remove the top and bottom toolbars while viewing the magazine? They are very annoying.
Like preachy, woke design? Neither do I. Elle Decor has really gone downhill, and the app’s not much better.
Although I appreciate saving trees, Elle Decor is a magazine that is meant to be savored in print.
I CANNOT READ THE MAGAZINE
This app is not free as you have to buy a subscription to be able to view a magazine, I'm a paper subscriber and travel a lot it will be much easier for me to check my magazine in iPad in the moment it comes out instead of waiting for being home to check it and I don't understand why I have to pay extra money. They say that they are offering other stuff in iPad version but why don't make this extras as an pay option. I'm already subscribed to a paper version and it means i will pay twice. It's just not fair. And this app is totally useless for me
After being a loyal print subscriber, I was excited at the thought of being able to flip through my favorite subscriptions of this magazine on the go. Nope. Conde Nast already offers this option for its print subscribers and their apps are wonderful and definite add on bonus for customers. I'm extremely disappointed a free iPad subscription is not already included with a current print publication. Get with the times - offer print subscribers free iPad digitally issues.
Downloaded this thinking I'd be abel to enjoy the same privileges I get from Conde Nast pubs I subscribe to and take them with me on my iPad instead of taking the printed one which always gets damaged on trip. Surprise no can do! I'd have to pay for the digital version too. I've been a loyal subscriber for years and even had to MetHome as well which I miss dearly. Elle get with the times and give your loyal readers what they want on the go.
Trying to cut back on paper mail I bought the digital subscription and downloaded this app. Should have seen 2 issues at least by now but can't. I go to open/download an issue & get a pop-up asking if I want to buy or cancel the issue. 😳😁 Reviewed my account right there and see when I paid, etc. and still can't view anything but Annoying blocks in my path!!!! Waiting for a "support" answer.
I like the house design on this app. The inspiration is a collection of great beautiful design but I cannot open the most photos of them. I like the ability of adding those inspiration to my file and write note about them, but if I cant open them, how can I add them to my file?? It's really frustrated, please fix.
This app is not the equivalent to the magazine. It never remembers my IPad, wants the convoluted password every month since it never remembers I have a subscription, only seems to hold 1 month's issue even though I did not delete the previous month (or read it yet). It is just not as satisfying. I love the magazine but I will probably not keep the online subscription.
I received an email alert to download this app to view my Elle Decor subscriptions. I downloaded the app only to find out I have to pay for the digital subscription magazines. As the other readers have mentioned many shelter magazines now allow you to access their digital subscriptions online without the duplicate cost. Sorry but I wont be paying to any additional costs for your misleading advertising.
This app is missing key features. Bookmarks, share features, zoom features, links to product/designer websites etc. as apps go this is a nice download of the magazine, but needs a lot more work. If you want an easy to reference source of design information stay with the hard copy.
I am a print subscriber. Every other magazine I subscribe to allows me to view magazine content on the ipad, except elle decor! I downloaded the app, but couldnt view my magazines without paying for an online subscription. I enjoy being able to look at my magazines from my ipad while traveling or at work. I deleted the app. Will return when they offer it free to print subscribers...
I purchased a digital subscription via an email asking me, as a previous print subscriber, to come back at a discounted rate. I purchased through the web and now can't get access on my iPad. The instructions for subscribers are wrong -- and perhaps this is because of the recent apple update, but I'm extremely frustrated.
I updated my iPad software after purchasing a year subscription. Now I am unable to download the January issue I briefly browsed through. What a freaking waste of money. Either fix the problems people are complaining about or refund our money. I would not recommend this application to ANYONE!
I got this really awesome deal 4 years for $20. They sent me 2 magazines via mail of course they didn't send me the double edition Jan/Feb but agreed to extend my subscription for an extra month. I haven't received my April issue and went to the site and saw they cancelled my subscription, without any notification or refund. I will be contacting the BBB regarding this!!!!!
Don't bother downloading this if you are a current print subscriber hoping to get this for free like Conde Nast publication subscribers can. Hearst needs to make their magazines free for loyal subscribers who have already paid, or offer the option to convert an existing subscription.
As a longtime print subscriber I find it absurd I can't authenticate my sub to receive the digital version without paying more. Highly disappointing! There are plenty of home decor resources, and I'll remember that when it's time to renew my print sub. Disappointing Hachette...but I guess that's why you were acquired...
I gave the app 2 stars because it looks promising but couldn't actually use the app because I'm a print subscriber and refuse to pay twice. Hopefully future versions of the app include that.
Every month I have to delete this app and then reinstall it because it asks me to purchase the latest issue when I've already paid for it. Then I have re-download past issues. Very aggravating!
I've gotta be honest, I'm pretty disappointed in you, Hearst. Condé Nast provides free e-subscriptions to their print subscribers. I am a huge ED lover, but since I can read Architectural Digest in print AND on my iPad, it's pulling ahead fast. Give me, as a loyal print subscriber, access to your iPad editions and I'll consider continuing my print subscription.
So far this is the only one of my many magazine subscriptions that doesn't give print subscribers online access! I am very disappointed and shocked that they are not doing the same as their competitors.
This app has caused me to buy an additional year of a magazine. I tried one month to review the quality and content of the magazine. The content is weak, at best. The app is one of the most unstable i have ever attempted to use. Don't try this app unless you have HOURS to spend working out a mess!
I will cancel my print subscription simply because the publisher does not allow me to also use the app. I subscribe to more than 12 different publications and Zinio is the only one that doesn't offer digital with print.
I pay for the home delivery magazine subscription, why can't I download the same thing for free? I don't want to pay for same thing twice. Usually the online subscription comes with the other.
Occasionally, these online versions of Elle Decor open up perfectly & it is an enjoyable experience and occasionally like for the April 2013, it does not open. The screen just goes to black. Should I be going back to the print version? I'm starting to think so. A disgruntled designer in Toronto.
