So many design magazines have recently been downgraded as they have been taken over by some sort of younger generation that has no sense of quality and art involved in home decor, and architecture. They approach design like juveniles, and this has ruined pretty much every magazine on the market, except for Veranda. This is the last hold out of pure genius in reporting design style.
Love how someone like me who cannot decorate well, can create so many ideas to use from this magazine. Love the new color of the year. Already implementing ideas. Thanks you really have a talented group both online and print.
I have had the app for years and just started using it because the magazine has become so great again! True Classic Design! There are articles like the cover story on Scotland and Scottish tartans that I want to read again and share with others. Thank you for a great job!

Found the magazine on the table at the Grand California Hotel in Disneyland and gave had a subscription off and on since then in 2003! Love the magazine and its content! Wish it came out monthly instead of bimonthly! When I'm feeling indulgent I will order it!

Looking at the beautiful furnishing in the magazine is a delight. I feel like I am visiting a designer's house. The photos entice me to get more information on the furniture by visiting the websites. I recommend the magazine to all the dreamers out there!

Terrible app, very user unfriendly, difficult to unsubscribe.
Just a note to Veranda or future reference, A bit of Greed in the beginning will leave you with Broke in the end!! Customers who like you enough to want your services in both print and digital should be your top priority. A few bad reviews for those who don't purchase print and only see this about your company and their practices will only be scared away. I understand that times are difficult and every dollar can keep you afloat these days but even if you offer it to print subscribers at a discount is doing something for those who are your loyal subscribers, not sure that with all of these reviews now that you can recoup the damage done. Still love what you guys produce, so for me, the decorator junkie, even though I will not pay for digital, I will always love the magazine and the photos.
I have subscribed to Veranda for several years without issues. I am currently unable to download the most recent issue and as of today I have been denied access to my subscription completely. No history, no ability to Refresh and have been denied access to make with the magazine to try and resolve the matter. I am two months into my annual subscription. Very disappointed in this magazine and Hearst Publications. Hope they fix this glitch soon!
I have the sept/oct issue in hand, downloaded the new iPad app to try the digital version since they are not always great and can't even view without purchasing again. Please revise this app ASAP so we can give it a try and help you launch it since we are already your customers. Most us will renew as a digital IF the app is good. You should be able to flip, scroll, etc... If you want a great example checkout Oprah's O mag, it is amazing. Thanks
It is frustrating when you purchase and download the issue days in advance and when you are in flight ready to begin reading and find that not all components have downloaded. Please give the user the option to fully download please; we do not pay you partially for the issue so give the full download.
I grave it 3 stars because I hasn't the option to add favorites. On my paper subscription I used to mark down the pages I liked with a post it. You don't have the option on this app. It is very frustrating. There are some magazine apps where you can add your favorites. Hope the developer add this feature.
Beautiful photography. Love to view the magazine this way. However, there is no way to copy or save what I see to a file. If they gave me the ability to turn down a page or even print it, I would rate this 5 stars, but I really need a way to store ideas. 😞.
I'm pretty savvy with electronics and things.....but this app confounds me. I archived an edition and now I cannot find it. I cannot restore it and it doesn't appear for me to download again. I followed the instructions carefully, multiple times and nothing.....I can't even find a help button re: archiving. Bad form.
Can't believe I have paid for the print version and I can't access the same material on the iPad. Shame on you. I love all my other magazines that will let me use both. One less magazine won't hurt me but from the comments I read hear, veranda may lose more than a few subscribers!
Absolutely no pictures. The app is basically an ad for you to "pay" for a subscription. Domino magazine is much better in that you have access to pictures. It's a great preview that makes you want to buy their magazine.
Not even a discount? I'm not,as upset as some of the reviewers here, but I'll stick to the print version for now. I sure would hate to be the person in charge of making that decision... I bet it is very lonely in staff meetings for you! Haha
I bought the subscription online, but app won't work. Even after restoring and following FAQs, to access the next issue it says "buy now" and charges 0.99. Maybe title should be non-functioning app.
Hearst publishing wake up! You're the only publisher who does not allow your print subscribers access to the tablet/ipad app. You want us to pay twice? No way! Will not be renewing.
Agree with the other reviews. If I pay for a print subscription it would make sense to get the digital as well. Disappointing.

Whether it's an Apple issue or a Hearst one, using the Veranda iPad app is frustrating and time-consuming in the amount spent trouble shooting. I won't be renewing my subscription.
It drives me insane when some of these magazines don't give you a free digital copy to go with your print subscription!…come on guys, catch up with the times like alot of other magazines or you might get LEFT BEHIND!
The app keeps crashing with iOS 8. Also, have not received download for new issue

Hearst Communications, Inc. is a print subscriber's Achilles heel. GIVE YOUR PRINT LOYALISTS FREE DIGITAL ACCESS, PLEASE. Until that happens it will be a big 👎.
For a yearly subscription of $24.99 this app should function. The app does not open any magazines and this is so for multiple people who have told me their app doesn't function as well.
Interface is poor on Ipad and can’t get recognized for log in.
