星巴克中国 Customer Service

Being a foreigner in China can be difficult and frustrating at times (and also wonderful) but navigating this app is just great. I can use gift cards, order ahead and even get delivery (over 80¥ is free). Plus if you get your Starbucks green or gold card you can use your rewards with this app also. If you are a foreigner and visiting or living in China, and like Starbucks this app is a must.

I really appreciate the atmosphere in Starbucks. I like soft armchairs and soothing music in the background. I love coming to Starbucks when it is not too busy with my favorite book. For me it is a cozy place to sip coffee and enjoy the magic of books. I would love to see more people reading rather than scrolling here ;)

I’m an expat living in China and the Starbucks app is fantastic! The reason for the 4/5 is that most of the app is in English except for the inbox messages. It would be great to know about the promotions described in the messages.

This app is pretty great. It’s nice to be able to order coffee and some food items to wherever I am. The service is really fast, usually less than 20 minutes to my location. And the bonus coupons I get from ordering the deliver are great. I just wish they’d add the new Starbucks Now order ahead service to Shenzhen too, why wait?

The app is pretty good! Easy to navigate, convenient, fast, hardly gives me any problems. Only thing wrong is it doesn’t offer every menu item, just the basics or most ordered. I wish it had a full menu and that the options when you order a drink had more specific choices, such as decaf.

While the app has some great info... it would be nice to be able to read it. Since I can only read English and Spanish and most of the announcements on the China app are in Chinese, I am unable to take advantage of what’s being advertised. There’s no option to change the info into another language.

Placed several orders and was impressed. 1. Found my place (it’s not the easiest), 2. Order was accurate, 3. Items weren’t damaged. 4. Coffee was still very warm as was the meal. Hoping they expand their menu.

Love the way the new app has the loyalty card floating on the front of the app. The easy access makes it so much easier to use!!’

This app is so easy to use. It is also super convenient, and user friendly. I love it. It has all my options, and it even remembers my likes. I use it all the time.

Does with it should. Sometimes things are slightly hard to find, but overall, it is a huge help.

Everything is great about the app except the announcement are in Chinese and I’m unable to read Chinese.

这是很容易操作的APP， 我经常使用到店里取餐，珠海富华里星巴克是我几乎天天会去的店，里面每个服务人员都超级亲切，在我无法或者不知道使用app的时候，他们都会协助我，在赶时间、买不到特定星巴克产品时也协助我，尤其是一位跟我一样名字的服务人Sunny，我特别要感谢他的认真和热心。

I don't understand why it is way different from Starbucks app in North America. It cost some time to adapt to it. Lol. Should make it the same worldwide.

The new arrangement is not a good deal at all, especially for gold card members. There is no reason to even try to become a gold card member they took the one benefit away and replaced with a lame attempt to seem like they are rewarding you. Instead of ten purchases for a free drink you have to get nine stars. A star is equal to spending fifty rmb. So you could buy a coffee and a croissant and still not earn one star. I had 53 stars. (That means I’ve spent too much money at Starbucks) and I had seven tear stars. Those are the stars that count to a free drink. Than my anniversary with them comes and the tear stars are zero! So any money spent to that free drink that is already not really that much of a deal anymore was just a waste. I know the 53 stars would be gone but it’s pretty cheap to also take the what’s already not that great of a reward away. To any new members it’s not even worth it to try to upgrade. You don’t get anything. Don’t spend more than you need to. It’s a waste of money. And maybe other smaller coffee shops will do better now. There is also no way to comment in the store or on the app. So I think they don’t care if you are satisfied or not. So different from the Starbucks of the past. Too bad.

Extremely frustrating experience with this app! After more than two years using the app with no problem and with over 2000rmb in gift cards on the account I bought a phone and all the gift cards disappeared! I tried to contact customer service several times but after a few minutes waiting the computer operator just says “our representatives are busy try another time”. I’ve left voice mails, and tried the online chat as well but it seems impossible to talk to anyone and even more impossible to resolve the issue or get any of the thousands of yuan I had associated with my account back. I had expected that when I installed the app on my new phone everything would be there and in fact, my transaction history, purchase history, favorites, location, and everything else are there. It seems intentional that only the gift cards would disappear. And of course, I no longer have the physical cards as I always pay using the app! 😡😡

I wanted to leave some feedback in the Starbucks app that the "Order Ahead" won't let you customize the drink to add soy or almond milk. It only allows you to add regular milk. Starbucks says it's a progressive company yet it discriminates against non-dairy drinkers. Back to my story, I wanted to leave feedback so I went to the Starbucks app. You can't actually type feedback in the dialogue box. Then it gives you the opportunity to rate the app using faces (very good to very bad) The app WONT let you submit feedback unless you rate the app "very good" If you try to rate it any worse, Starbucks refuses to allow you to submit negative feedback. And it won't allow me to write them negative feedback in the dialogue box. At least I'm free to criticize you in the App Store while I drink my non-dairy drink at another cafe.

Bought ¥132 with the app and the stats haven’t shown up. Went to the store to have the credit added to the account; they messed around with the receipt and my app, said it should be fixed in 24 hours. It’s been a week and still nothing. Other than this, the app is just fine.

When I'm ordering delivery I would really like the option for less ice or more ice. I prefer my drinks with full ice but there are no options for that. Also, I like a bigger cup for my grande Americano because I want even more extra ice but that's not an option as well. Starbucks in China usually gives very little ice so it's not very convenient to use this app.

The APP seems fine, but putting more specified order details in delivery would be greatly appreciated because always getting my muffin or wrap dried out before delivery is horrible and might as well come to store. Other than that, would like Star Dashes to be in English as well...at least to pick-up the prize.

What could possibly possess someone to write an app for an Apple iPhone and remove Apple Maps? Now, if you want to find a map to a store, there’s no way. You can’t even copy/paste. What a horrendous update. Starbucks — fix this. I am not installing another spyware laidened local maps app just to find one of your stores. I’ll wander and find something else.

Three stars is too much for starbucks now, I am a coffee lover and had more than 100 cups of Starbucks coffee a year , but the new policy really give me very bad feeling, hope Starbucks can improve their service in many aspects. I still love coffee but I don’t like Starbucks anymore.

Can you make the ad on startup silent or not mess up audio playing from other apps. It is very annoying. McDonald’s app doesn’t have this problem.

I would love if the app allowed you to rate your barista though. I've gotten some really great ones and would love to give kudos easily. I also wish I could order from the app! That would make it 5 stars for me!

Don’t know if this is a bug or not, the live activities function doesn’t appears anymore, bad upgrade.

The advertisements for this app are very misleading. They use large fonts to promote "Free Vouchers," making you think you’re getting a free coffee. In reality, it’s only a small discount or a free add-on that requires a full purchase. It feels like a "clickbait" trap just to get people to download the app. Very disappointed.

I might be a minority here but this app does not allow foreign cell phone numbers. For short term traveller like me it’s impractical to get a new cell phone card just for coffee. Please consider allowing using foreign cell phone numbers.

I have a problem writing or giving deliverers exact address because your app doesn’t give me any way of providing it, like you only give me the slot for “bldg name” and didn’t give me a slot for “street address”

So this is an iOS app, and Starbucks is an American company. But ironically this app doesn’t have Apple Pay option and also doesn’t have dynamic island UI, Starbucks need to fix this.

For some reason your APP and the money from my gift card disappeared several weeks ago. I don’t guess you you can tell me where my money is.

Takes forever to sign in, blaming my internet connection —- all other apps work fine on my connection. The “forget your password” email doesn’t work either, the link sent is a dead one.

I just need a cup of coffee, why I have to listen to wired music when I start this app? Why my music has to pause for starting the app? Why you cannot just make a Chinese version of the Starbucks USA?

The app will NOT give you a refund! Untrustworthy. Your store didn’t make my drink, I asked for a refund directly they said no refunds because I used the app?!?!? How can a billion dollar company not offer refunds on an app?

Bug : The FAQs don’t work. It only opens ones related to the app, not the rewards or other areas.

For several hours the SMS feature has failed and it’s not sending the text message. All I’m trying to do is create an account.

Why there is no Apple Pay option, please add for convenience.

It’s been months and I have not receive my Gold card

The latest update is forcing me to go to an actual Starbucks store to update the app. I order delivery in the mornings and rarely go to the store. So tomorrow I can not order delivery as the QR code that is required for an actual Starbucks store needs to scan is all that is showing on my app.

Made first order and added the coupon for future purchases. Wanted to make 2nd order and cannot redeem my buy 2 get 1 free coffee. It’s a bit frustrating

I think having a visual reward card in the Starbucks is a good trial, however, the technical team does not have the whole work done, making it server "not working" all the time. Can't login to the account . Please fix it asap

I had a lot of gold then next day bye all drinks and gold never going to Starbucks again after this app told me what was inside it. Really there is mouse tail in the skinny.

Nice app with good features but the load time between tapping and displaying info is painfully slow.

It's not letting me login to my Starbucks app. I don't like that still. Cause I really like this app 👎👍👎👍👎👍
