How do I cancel the Starbucks Hong Kong subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your Apple ID (your name) at the top, go to Subscriptions, select Starbucks Hong Kong from the list and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you can keep using the app until then. See Apple's official subscription management page for details.
How do I delete the Starbucks Hong Kong app?
Touch and hold the Starbucks Hong Kong icon on the Home Screen, choose Remove App and then Delete App. Important: if you have an active subscription, deleting the app does not cancel it automatically - you must first cancel your subscription using the steps above.

If the app hasn't been run in a while it crashes when using the mobile payment shortcut.
Wow. User interface is gorgeous and professional. Very unlike the US Starbucks app. Can't we get an update to make our UI more like this one? The only thing the American version has is more variety in the menu section. Please update ours!

Doesn’t seem like there’s much motivation to get this app to perform basic functions. Surely it’s not that hard to keep it updated?
My commute is 10 minutes and today I couldn’t successfully order due to error messages before my commute ended. Placing an online order with the premier global coffee brand in a world class city like Hong Kong with a company that has successfully figured out online ordering should not take 10 minutes. I rarely review apps, either great or horrible, but I feel compelled to add my voice to the growing chorus that this app is horrifically unusable. I like my Starbucks fix and my loyalty to the brand is keeping me from going elsewhere, but my patience is wearing thin as ordering takes 5-10 minutes with the buggy UI.
This app just gets slower and with more errors on every update. It is now to the point of almost being unusable. When I place an order online, the cart doesn’t update with the items by the time I get to the payment screen. So I have to find my way back, order again, then navigate in and out, to get back to change the quantity back from 2 to 1 before I can pay. At one outlet at City of Dreams in Macau, payments haven’t worked in months as all orders just show pay order fail. This app is just a mess now, it used to work great until they decided to rebuild it.
If I had an option of zero stars I would give that. Options don’t work so is very annoying. Also, the way the rewards program is set up it is just designed to make you spend more money. You can’t even get your usual drink, unless it’s the smallest size, without having to pay. If there were other options near where I live I would forget about Starbucks. I have used the Starbucks app in the US and it is much better. Forget Starbucks unless it’s the only option and probably best to just make your own.
If this app represents Starbucks Hong Kong, this would mean the company is couple years behind the world. This app is not up to the standard of Starbucks. It is still not optimized for iPhones with screens bigger than 4 inches, which was released nearly 2 years ago. No passbook/wallet support. Seriously? That is the best user case and the company elects to skip it. App takes like more or less an hour to refresh to the latest reward stars, and user cannot redeem reward at the shop immediately. I haven't even mentioned Apple Watch. TL;DR: 2000s technology in 2016.
FIX YOUR APP!!! This is the most useless app I’ve used. It never works right—it’s impossible to add money to a Starbucks card, it doesn’t include seasonal items when using it to order, it can take up to 30 seconds for a new page to load, sometimes even after a page loads items will appear or disappear, and it won’t let you use rewards when ordering for delivery. Half the time it’s just random error codes.
Please update the app to match the US version design! Also enable offline barcode access like the US version, it's embarrassing to have to hold up the line when it takes ages for the card to show up and hours before you can login and agree to the t&c again. And please, for the love of god, make everything sync in real time, it's 2014 and you need 24 hours to update stars for dozens of members?
Ever since this app was overhauled a few years back it has been the biggest pile of junk. I don’t know how a developer can make an app slower but whoever made this did it. It is so slow, I can barely do anything on it. It’s process for ordering is clunky and not intuitive at all. Whoever made this app must really hate Starbucks because it feels like it’s doing everything it can to keep you from buying coffee.
Like what our probability Professor taught us, you can never know what is the outcome of the app after you press the “next” button. It could be refreshing for ever, telling you insufficient fund while you have hundreds of dollars in your account, a 404 error, an error message called “throw an error,” or a successful next step with an extremely small probability. Good for learning probability, but useless for ordering coffee.
Cannot add money to the starbucks card, loading time is too slow. Kicked out of the app multiple times. Basically, impossible to order through the app. Sbux HK “revamped” the app a while ago, and guess what IT GOT WORSE—blows my mind to know there’s another level of sucking to the already low standard set by the previous app. It is not hard to create a decent app, whoever is responsible, go find yourself another job.
Sorry to say, but this local variant of the Starbucks app is a joke. Riddled with bugs and frequently fails or crashes, yet the reps at the supposed customer service hotline for its creator (HK Starbucks , aka Creative Concepts?) have no idea how to explain behavior of the app let alone fix problems... nor do they seem to care much. Most ironical is that the claimed ability of this app to auto recharge from a credit card simply does not work. And ironically, this was discovered in the supposed heart of fintech in Hong Kong (Cyberport).
I am standing at the queue to discover that Starbucks forces me to update the app before I could use my money that they took already for me to pay for coffee. The update required me to log in again. Not remembering the password I had to send off for password recovery. No problem there, but they do not respond to recovery request. I sent off for this 4 times. Still standing here at the queue for the last 30 minutes and without my coffee. Very annoyed.
Personally I don't like this app so I give it a 2. I don't like this app because what if you don't have a credit card or any card. What if your like 13 you have no card so you can't make an account. As a Starbucks lover I wanted an app that I could easily take my time and see what I want and not wait in line, so I got this and it didn't work for me. If you do have a card , then it's a whole nother story.
Tried to reload Starbucks card on the app using PayMe and Credit Card, it actually charged the funds but the card does not reflect the balance. Now I need to contact customer support. I expected better from Starbucks at a city like Hong Kong. The app has so many bugs and is unusable at this point! Hopefully, I can get my money back.
American Express cards are not accepted as payment in this app, unlike at the stores themselves. Also, getting the authentication email when creating an account for those who don’t have a Hong Kong number is a pain. It says the email was sent, but I never receive it. And yes, I’m not a dummy and checked my spam box.
This app has always been terrible (won’t stay logged in, extremely slow to load and move between screens), but after the latest update it just doesn’t work at all. Errors constantly popping up when trying to check out and it’s impossible to place an order
After recent update, could not place order due to errors “thrown” by app. Today I deleted then reinstalled and could place an order. But it’s still quite slow and the UI is very difficult. This app has a long history of problems and seems little improvement.
I hate apps that force you to update. If i’m at the store and want to use I need to update first. sometimes it’s slow and takes time. i just want to get my coffee and update later when I have time. they update so much because the app is so buggy.
When you do by chance get logged on, it's often glitchy. Numerous times my money is gone. My card still have $33 in it so I topped up $100 and the transaction was approved but after that came up with the error thingy then in the end I only have $1.0, not only i lost my $100 plus the $33 that was already in there.. jesus christ
Starbucks HK mobile app just doesn’t work. It won’t let you log on, and when you do by chance get logged on, it’s often glitchy. Numerous times my money is gone, but my mobile order doesn’t go through.
Yep, same problem as others mentioned previously about not being able to top up the Starbucks card with a credit card. You click confirm and get back an error message.
Worse than just paying by cash or credit card. App cannot link payment with credit cards. Must refill lumpsum every time. The process is just a pain. The rewards are useless. Forget about the app, its waste of space. Better just pay direct.
What good is your app if you can't let people create an account. I spent minutes filling out all the details and after hitting the Submit button it crashes. Whoever coded app should look for another job.
After the latest update, the app crashes right after opening. Previously, it was very stable.

Fix your app please. It's buggy like hell. It crashes every time I open it. Have reinstalled and tried also. On 5s. It's really annoying when the app crash when you are just going to pay your cash! Crazy!

Love the UX, customisation of your order, linking with your Starbucks card, preorder, finding the nearest Starbucks near you but… …You can’t pay for your order. Useless.
App forced update and refuses to login. Every attempt is met with 2 msgs: “Throw an Error504” or “Login has expired, please login again”. Attempts to report error to Starbucks HK has led to dead ends and Apple won’t take report as it’s a free to use app.
This is criminal. I have proven this to Starbucks employees 3 times already, who agree with me. But support never responds. Be careful - if you load cash on the app, it will deduct it without making any purchases.
Nothing seems to work like it should with this app. Can’t add money to card, can’t place order with it, can’t add credit card or auto pay. Please fix!
Misleading promotions campaign, repetitive logins and failure to complete a transaction that just leads to agony and wasted time. To be honest this app definitely qualifies as trash, especially when an great American brand backs it
I open the app and it says I need an update. I can't use it without accepting the need for the update. Accepting it takes me to the App Store which indicates I have the latest app. I cannot update it. So I'm stuck.

I have not been able to log in since a recent mandatory upgrade to the app. Emails to Starbucks HK have been ignored. Sigh.
When is touchid going to be enabled to make it easier to use? Auto reload would be great cuz the main US app has both...

Haven’t been able to add money to my cards via the app in months. So many crashes bugs and issues. I loved the convenience of Starbucks. There’s no longer any convenience when you can’t actually use the app
The previous versions were pretty bad but the Oct version just renders it utterly unusable. Managed to use up my fund and abandon Starbucks altogether.
Very buggy. Can’t recommend.
