Great! But,…I initiated Verizon Protect and found all my information was on the dark web. So, I wiped my device, I changed banks and bank account, created a pad system that will make it easier to recall passwords, but leave them sophisticated and very hard to guess. I immediately locked my device down upon installation. Then I remembered I needed to call and change my cell phone number too. Because that is linked to a lot of public information. So when I did, the Verizon protect app reset, and my VPN turned off. So I was trying to login and having trouble and Verizon Protect basically told me it didn’t recognize my new number when I typed it in. I called the coaching staff, and I said I’m just gonna delete this app and reinstall it. we installed it and it started fresh and I was able to lock my system down. I keep it the VPN on 100% of the time..DDDareDevilVersion: 7.13.0

Identity theft protectionI added VZ TOTAL PROTECT with the purchase of a new IPhone 13 Pro Max. I had this protection on my old IPhone 7 with no problems with the services. With my new IPhone, I cannot activate ITP. This service is supposed to be supported on my new phone per the Digital Protect app and other resources. I contacted VZ and went thru several tech support reps who couldn’t help. I was given a phone no. by one tech which got me to McAfee who provides the actual service. McAfee said they could not help me since they are only a partner with VZ on different databases and referred me back to VZ and ask for McAfee Tech Support within VZ. I called VZ again and had to go thru the entire explanation of my issue again with VZ tech support. It was finally escalated to a Tier 2 support coach who couldn’t figure out the problem and she finally brought a McAfee support rep in on a conference call. I went through all the instructions provided by the McAfee tech but he couldn’t fix my problem either. This was on a Thursday. He advised he was going to investigate and fix the problem that evening and call me back Friday morning, the next day to confirm the service. This conference call was over two weeks ago, I never received call back and still do not have ITP but still paying for it. Too many people involved that don’t know what they’re doing and don’t return calls. I have to keep Digital Secure as I need the WiFi protection on the phone but not getting what I’m paying for every month. Very dissatisfied..Yankee DawgVersion: 6.10.3

Needs to allow secure inflight wifiThis app is great, but doesn’t allow me to even connect to my work wifi, which happens to be an unsecure connection on a plane everyday. It shows our wifi available to connect, but when it does it says “no internet connection” while all of my coworkers’ internet works perfectly fine as usual. I have tried simply turning off the VPN and/or the WiFi security protection to no avail. Have tried every combination with the app to try and make it work. The only thing that allows me to connect to the plane WiFi is deleting the app entirely. I have done this quite a few times. I don’t buy the full access WiFi like passengers do obviously, but need to utilize the free unsecure connection for flight time/altitude levels for my job. This app does not allow me to do that. Not User FriendlyI won’t waste any time. My main complaint is the way the VPN works and how it’s designed. It does its job as a VPN when turned on properly, but for an average user it’s nearly impossible to set it up. When you set up the app for the first time, it is highly recommended that you set up a VPN. To do so, it redirects you to your iPhone settings app, asks for your passcode, and installs the VPN. (Or two, rather, but we’ll get to that.) Afterwards it’s a nightmare to set up from the perspective of a non-tech-savvy individual. When you connect to a public network, you may or may not get a notification on your phone saying your “wi-fi isn’t safe” so you need to connect to a VPN. (I say “may not” because that notification solely depends on whether or not the app was recently opened. Very user friendly indeed.) Doing so requires that in your settings app, you have “safe wi-fi” (NOT safe web, the second VPN the app installs) checked off and NOT turned on in the VPN settings section. Afterwards, then you may go in the app and attempt to turn it on then, but even then it may not work. I’ve attempted to use the “reinstall VPN” feature but I’m met with an error message every time, so I sent data logs to McAfee, the company behind the digital secure app, hoping someone from their team will fix these problems, but where I’ve been dealing with this for years, I feel like even this review will fall on deaf ears. Verizon is expensive. That I’m sure we can all agree. I would like a quality service from their suite along with it. 8.2.1 Verizon Protect too tight.I installed this latest version on my iphone 17 Pro Max the day it was released. Within an hour i noticed my yahoo mail utilizing the Apple email app no longer downloaded my email in the normal expedient manner i was accustomed to. I did NOT immediately associate this issue with verizon protect as I had also updated ios to 26.4.1. I opened a ticket with apple who spent the time necessary to determine the problems origin. When deactivating the VPN, my mail populated my mailbox in lightning speed. We activated VPN and submitted emails and they would not download until deactivation of VPN again. I have had Verizon Protect for years now and it has worked fine for my needs, until this particular upgrade. Review for Verizon appI don’t know how to use it but it’s saying that both my emails and my phone number is on the dark web. Right now I can’t get into my Apple account, it’s grayish and so is my video for video calls. Because Apple is grayish I can’t change my password to my outlook email account, I haven’t been able to get into it for 2months. As far as my 3 Verizon apps they are doing their job and I love the fact that they block all phone numbers that aren’t in my contacts. Works fine for what it isI’ve had the standalone Safe WiFi on my iPhone 12 and used it when I traveled overseas with no issues. I used it when I would be on the hotel’s WiFi and had no issues with connectivity. I now have an iPhone 14 Pro and recently installed the Digital Secure (recently replaced Safe WiFi). The only minor gripe is when I have a trusted network saved and “connect on demand” on my iPhone will still connect to the VPN (on the trusted network). With Digital Secure, I now have to turn off the VPN and turn it on manually when I need it. Web protection isn’t staying onI’ve had 3 separate chats with the digital secure team. 1st call: advised I delete the app and reinstall; same issue of the safe-Wi-Fi turning on and off. 2nd call; I was told to go to settings and turn on the protect me from unknown networks feature; same issues as before. The icing on the cake was yesterday’s rep told me to contact McAfee. Why should I call the developer? That’s on Verizon to do to make sure the product they are selling to their customers works. I can hear you!This little phone of mine not only takes and makes telephone calls but it’s like my file cabinet, tv, and keeper of all my life’s most important everything in a neat tiny package. Good when it stays connectedSame issue I’m having with this is that it for some reason continually turns itself off and I keep trying to reinstall and reset my network or Wi-Fi, but it doesn’t fix it. It keeps taking me off and will show it’s on in the dashboard, but when I am actually in the app it’s showing turned off and asks me to tap on the button to turn it on. Protected!This is a great way to have your phone, tablets, laptops and other devices protected. Monitoring my calls and texts keeps me safe from unnecessary distractions and hackers. Doesn’t trust it’s performanceThe app’s functionality impedes connection especially when the mail app appears to be downloading the mail . Digital SecureI downloaded this on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It made my phone act crazy. It started lagging really bad and when I did the IOS 15 software update, I literally could not get my Wi-Fi to stay connected. It would only come on for a split second and go back off. The VPN on phone kept going on and off consistently. Didn’t even realize app had a VPN. If it doesn’t have a VPN then it just apparently freaked out the VPN slide button on settings. I don’t think this app has a VPN UNLESS you are using Wi-Fi. It doesn’t protect your browsing when you are just using LTE or 5G. The app would never let me turn on the actual browser protection. Every time I tried turning it on it would search and search and then suddenly stop. App has good ratings but did not work very well for me at all and I have been a Verizon Customer for over 20 years. Useless, frustrating. WorthlessThe digital secure has been spotty since I downloaded it when I got the phone. I get a lot of “connecting”s, certificate errors, cannot connects, and once in a blue moon I actually get a connection. I should have trusted my instincts because since that happened very early today, nothing on this perfectly good two week old phone has worked. I am not happy with my Digital SafeI have had my product about 1 1/2-2 yrs now and I cannot get it to work consistently! It is on and off all the time. I really want safe Wi-Fi and do not feel I do; which is frustrating to me. I have Wi-Fi according to my phone but I will check and the digitally safe and it will be off. UselessThis app has been terrible for years and it just keeps getting worse. Since I got an IPhone over a year ago and I have Verizon mobile protect I have never had the full features even though I am supposed to. I have called several times and they will fix it and several hours later it will go back to the free version. Terrible coverageI have found that many times when I check my safe and secure it is not working. I always have to go in and switch it on it has been the worst service I’ve ever had. I am now worried that my service has been hacked and have had to call and spent countless hours on the phone with customer service representative and the fraud department to ensure that my phone has not been hacked. So far, not impressedI got this app mostly for my elderly parents. I was told that it would help reduce the junk texts and calls- a few months in- not really… possibly not at all. Today alone, my mother told me she got about 15 junk calls today… so she went to the Verizon store to see what could be done about it. Works 90% of time at bestApp almost never connects on its own as it’s supposed to, have to constantly open it to force it to connect and every time you open the app and prompts you to turn on other services that you’ve repeatedly declined. As it’s attempting to connect to their servers and activate the vpn it prevents you from using the wifi your trying to connect to, it will repeatedly fail to connect to the vpn. Degraded version removed functionalityVerizon failed to update, or even notify users of an update to, a prior version. When the earlier version failed to provide identity-theft protection, a bot advised that I should update the app. The update fails to provide any such protection- not even a link to an option to activate it. Constantly disconnectsThe apps is great when it connects. However, in the history. It shows that while I am using email or other apps. It constantly disconnects. Causing leaking information. I had PIA ‘Private Internet Access,’ I had NordVPN. Compared to this VPN. Those other VPN lets me choose which server to connect. And if there is a traffic that causes lag in the internet. They give me options of switching VPN servers. This doesn’t give me options to switch manually. Also, like I said everytime I am using an apps. It would turn off. Especially using social media such as Twitter and Facebook. The Digital Secure would disconnects. I also installed Safe-Wifi to help me install the VPN profile. However it would take hours of trying to setup a VPN profile. And the Digital secure would turn off everytime I try to turn on the Safe Browsing and Safe Wifi VPN. Which is a struggle trying to turn on both for protectiob for internet browsing, safe-wifi and VPN. I keep turning on Safe Browsing and Safe-wifi and VPN turns off. When I try to turn on VPN and Safe-Wifi, the Safe-Browsing would turn off. Struggling for an hour trying to keep all features turned on at the same time. Its certainly waste an hour of my time just trying to turn on all security features for Digital Secure. When I stopped subscribing to PIA and NordVPN they retaliate by leaking information. Those VPN companies are untrustworthy because when I ask for my refund because they resubscribed me automatically when I wanted to stop my subscription and uninstall their apps. While I was using a free VPN called FreeVPNorg and then switched to Digital Secure because my carier is verizon. A lot of my information is already in the dark web. This is why I have been constantly being harassed by people with my personal information. This is why VPN is so important to me. Will Update If Proven WrongMy phone had a spy app installed (either someone had physical access to this phone or the previous phone that had been stolen was used) on it, and there was no warning from digital secure about a security breach. They were able to access all of my contacts, everything I wrote, took pictures/videos of…essentially hijacked anything and everything personal. If digital secure isn’t able to detect apps like this, okay. But that’s why I partly downloaded this app. Would someone please explain what digital secure is meant to do for a person who is not technologically savvy? Verizon protect appI like that it has the secure VPN. Other features would probably be helpful as well but app is being very glitchy for me. Says a refresh is needed. I try to refresh and it still doesn’t work. App will not let me enter my date of birth which I’ve been fighting for close to a month now. Continue to contact Verizon. Agents are very helpful but to no avail. Just go somewhere else.You can’t change your virtual location. With the iPhone, I could not disconnect half the time I wanted to. Don’t workCalled everyday for a week day and night to fix the problem I was having with this app. It worked for a few when I got the phone after that it stopped . No one knew how to fix the problem. Does workI had this app was paying on it around a year. They never alerted me when my Facebook account had been hacked and another Facebook account was linked to mine so they don’t catch what’s going on your phone or tablet they just take your monthly payment and stick it in their pocket. DO NOT USEThis app has caused issues with connection to the cloud; even Google Maps would not load anything from the cloud, and therefore, no map. After several hours with tech support, with both the Verizon and Apple teams, who were both very helpful, the Apple support guy was able to get my phone working again, as it should. More Bad then GoodDoes very little to protect my phone. VPN tends to block all internet connection, identity monitoring won’t stop sending emails on the same data breach, and I have no use for safe browser, I seem to know what websites are good and bad. Doesn’t workI don’t know if this “protects” you per se. It makes the phone extremely laggy and just doesn’t load things like comments under an article. So if protection means you phone is as slow as a 1990’s flip phone and you can’t actually do about 75% of what you try to do, then I guess you could say it works. I just turned it off and am now using a different VPN that does work. Even though I have it turned off, it still nags me constantly that it’s disabled.
