B.A.A. Racing App Customer Service

Overall this is an amazingly helpful app to track your runner to find them. One improvement would be if you could pick a spot along the marathon route (i.e., where you are waiting for them) and set alerts to that spot vs the half way, 1 mile from finishing and the finishing line since 99% of spectators won’t be able to be at the finish line. That addition would be amazingly helpful to spectators, it overall this app is fantastic.

I thought it was great, I could follow the two runners I was interested in real time. Almost felt like I was there, and was able to chat with spectators who were onsite and let them know when they might catch a brief glimpse of our runner. I don’t know if the screen freezes were the fault of my equipment, the App, or if the runners, decided to take a pee stop. The breaks were annoying, but eventually the runners would teleport to another spot further up the course. I liked the banner notifications, but wish there had been a few more. It would nice to have it overlaid on Google Earth so we could feel like a drone overhead.

I have a lot of friends who run marathons. So I’ve used many different marathon apps. This app really differentiates itself from others in the way that you can track multiple runners easily on a tracked athletes dashboard page. They are sorted by estimated finish time with real time statistics being displayed and dynamically updated automatically like a stock symbol ticker. Very cool!

I don’t have to scratch my head and ask “why does this race app make things so difficult” when I use the BAA app. Some other Marathon apps just aren’t worth the bother. I like being able to track the movement of my running friends as they make their way through the Boston Streets. Easy to see ‘through’ the tall buildings as you track a runner - nicely done! The one less star is because there is no satellite image/‘real’ street image tracking.

First time I’ve had a friend running in the Boston Marathon. Even though we’re half way across the country (in SD), we could see when he started, how he was doing, and when he finished. We enjoyed monitoring the position and pace of the one runner we knew. Much better than watching a herd with no details on our favorite runner!! Thank You!!

This marathon APP is the next best thing if as person is not able to travel to Boston. The entire community is going above and beyond to continually support this event though-out the world. Your BAA App is wonderful and we could feel as we were (almost) there with our runner! We are from South Dakota and thank you for the opportunity to follow our SON-in-law today. … The family …

I have been a spectator at many marathons to see my daughter run in different large cities in the US. The Boston Marathon app was easy to set up and track runners without any glitches. The notifications came in a timely manner that I knew when it was time to hold up my sign and get ready to start cheering! Well done.

How nice to be able to find our runner and so much by the second information about her. We so easily found her in the crowds in Natick. As we saw her initials on the map were turning on the last stretch and we turned the TV On and saw her finish. I got a picture of it!!! Thanks BAA For a great experience.

The runner’s race data was well-presented, serving a competitor’s interests. It would be better for a better sense of the course to be conveyed. For example, I had to Google where Heartbreak Hill was. A topographical contour would be instructive, labeled by towns. Any more photographic images of the course would add a lot. This is not to disparage the app- I was very happy to track Julie as she ran, sitting here in the Hudson Valley. Thank you!

A quick app that communicates updates in current time, is very easy to navigate, presents a clean design, and it’s organized in a way that makes sense cognitively. The mindset of the app seems to reflect the mindset of the team behind the design of the Boston Marathon. Highly recommend!

My 97 yr old Mom and I used your App to follow my nieces Elisabeth and Caroline Stocking throughout the Marathon. I can not thank all who worked on this App enough. We enjoyed the ease of using the App and all of the information and updates provided. I forwarded many screenshots to friends and family during the race. Thank you so very much.

I ‘watched’ as a family member ran the Boston Marathon for the first time. I loved getting live updates such as seeing his position in the course and in relation to various course markers, his current pace, average pace, distance ran, distance to go, estimated finishing times, and more! I felt like I was there cheering him on!

I have never used a tracking app before. Once I was able to get the app on my phone, I found the app incredibly informative, as well as exciting to watch. I can not say enough positive comments about having this app available to view my cousin crossing the finish line. Great App!

I am 83 years old and have completed the B.A.A. Marathon eleven times, volunteered for it several other times, and watched it countless others. Due to multiple health issues (unrelated to my being at the event so many times - LOL), I could not view it in person this year so, I took advantage of the B.A.A. app and watched it from my home! My friends no longer run the race but, through the genius of the app, I was able to vicariously cheer on the husband of my grand niece. Thank you Bank of America and, you the B.A.A. for sponsoring and running such a world class event so successfully.

At 83 & 86 we could not be in Boston for the race. This app allowed us track our amazing granddaughter with alerts to updates! Thank you so much for making this available & more importantly at no cost. Would give more stars if possible 👍

I was monitoring 2 runners & the app didn’t follow 1 after first 5 miles. It was more than an hour later it picked her up again. All thru race it was hung up at certain points. Then suddenly 15-20 minutes later it would update. It seemingly kept up with the other runner & he was slower running than her.

This app is outstanding! So absolutely simple to use! I am an 82-year-old grandmother, and I could navigate it with no problem at all! I was able to follow my runners every step of the way. And even Skip around to see what the rest of the field was doing.

This app was fantastic! Was able to track multiple runners at the same time. Very easy to use! Love that you could see all of their splits, projected finish times, and GPS location on the marathon route. Highly recommend!

Thank you for making us feel that we were at the marathon! Seeing our niece’s progress throughout the day gave us a front row seat vantage point! The app was easy to download and easy to use, held lots of info, and shared real time locations.

We were able to keep track of friends and family the whole race. Due to each person having a different pace it was great to see where everyone was and their estimated finish time

It was fun to be able watch Tami wending her way from Hopkinton through my favorite old places in Newton & Boston now that I’m ‘waaay too far away! Gotta say the app was even easy to use on my iPad, and I’m not even slightly a tech person - quite cool! Oh, yeah, and Thanks!

The 3d map of the course allowed runners to preview the course with excellent rendering of the course. I used it to preview where family and friends were planning to watch. I found everyone! Also like finisher statistics and splits.

Made me feel like I was on the course (versus at my desk working). Loved the push notifications about my nephews progress. Estimated finish time was spot on. (Well after he quit slowing down:/). Really great graphical interface.

Amazing app. So wonderful to see and follow our loved ones race Boston. The 3d route allowing to see the miles, the hydration stations, the med tents, and landmarks etc and especially The split timer/ the mileage countdown/ the estimated finish times. 10 out of 10 totally recommend.

I was not able to be in person for my daughters half marathon, but this app was so great in being able to feel a little bit more part of the event and watch her progress along the way! I just loved it

Followed the Boston Marathon and I liked the info and alerts it provided. The stats came quick and the route tracking was fun and made me feel I was there. I was watching ESPN and the coverage went out. But this app kept me there with each step.

Such a cool app. See exactly where your runner is so you don’t miss them when they run by you. Get there splits and notices of milestones! And if you don’t live near by you can still get in on the action just like you are there!

This is about the 5th year I have used this app to track friends and family running the Boston Marathon from afar. Very great full for the opportunity and impressed with the smoothness of the app as time has gone on!

I’m a retired runner, but I can remember many years ago when these apps just started to come out. They were clunky they did the best they could. Your app is the very best thing I’ve ever seen.

Thanks to this app I was able to easily track my finance as he ran a 10K in Boston!! The app is user friendly and automatically gives you updates on participants. I would highly recommend!!

This application has so many extra features besides giving the runner’s splits. The real time pace/time was helpful. Seeing the runner’s location on the map allowed us to ‘see’ them cross the finish line.

The app was so helpful! I could easily maneuver around to track my nephew and friends while also checking on events that were going on. Updates were given often.

Accurate distance so easy to track multiple runners and the map function was cool to see runners and distance from each others.

This app has more features than anyone could need. You can find anything about the marathon, as a spectator or participant. Very easy interface, easy to navigate, and visually appealing. Probably the best app I’ve ever used for anything.

We weren’t able to attend the event in person, but the app gave us the opportunity to cheer on and encourage our runner during the race! It was fun to track her progress in real time.

Incredibly easy to use. I was able to add runners quickly and easily. The “my location” vs. runner location made it really easy to find a place to cheer on friends and family racing. Great app!

This app was perfect to watch my boyfriend run the marathon! There weren't many reviews so I wasn't too sure about this app, but it was phenomenal. I hated missing the race in person, but this was the second best thing. I can't recommend it more!

The app worked as expected and offered up to date information. I wish there were an option to send a “cheer” to the runners.

Our son ran this for the first time. He just turned 48. My husband and I are in Florida and it was great to follow him on this app. What an incredible experience for him. We loved being able to sense where he was by looking at his pace at various hills. Great app

I have never tracked anyone with an app but my daughter’s fiancé ran the race so being in Budapest, she suggested I follow Nathan. I found it very easy to use and exciting to track progress! Thank you for making this possible!

My enjoyment of this 128th Boston Marathon was definitely increased by my use of this app! I would recommend it to anyone with a concern for one or more participants! My first marathon as a spectator was as a grad student at Brown in 1965, since then, I have been a spectator at more than ten marathons, and this one was the most enjoyable!

When you can’t be at the finish you can still have the thrill of following your runner on this app ! It’s easy to use and includes all the info you want on race day !

Was able to track a loved one running the Boston Marathon and knew exactly where to wait based on this tracker’s info on their location, pace and estimated finish time.

It was great to see the progress of our friends running the marathon. The only thing that would have been better is a life feed at the finish line!

I love that I was able to follow multiple friends and family during their run all the way from Alaska. The app was so easy to use. The graphics and the alerts were awesome!

This app was a game changer for tracking my friend in the Boston marathon, since I was unable to travel to the event. The real-time tracking feature is spot-on, providing accurate updates that made me feel like I was right there on the course. It was easy to use even for those not tech-savvy. I would recommended for anyone wanting to stay connected during marathons!

I was able to track three of my friends who were running the Boston Marathon 2024. It provided instantaneous notifications, kept me up to date, even though I couldn’t be on the course to cheer them on. It also allowed me to share updates with our running group with confidence that the information was correct. Did I mention, it is free to use? That’s a bonus. 💙💛

This app had loads of information for runners and spectators. I loved keeping track of my nephew as he ran the 26 mile marathon as well as speed of moving through the course.
