About ICD10 Consult (Evan Schoenberg)
• Deep code analysis allows easy handling of laterality, encounter, and staging codes, letting the app do the work of finding the perfect code
• Add your own custom notes to any code which will appear seamlessly within search results
• Tens of thousands of medical acronyms and synonyms are transparently cross-referenced to let you search using the terms you are used to; e.g. "MI" to "Myocardial Infarction"
• Search term flexibility understands that, for example, 'vertebrae' matches 'vertebra' and 'ovarian' matches 'ovary'
• ICD-10 tabular and alphabetical indexes integrated and simultaneously accessed to maximize results
• Instant linkage within code descriptions
• Coding guidelines as well as section and chapter instructions tightly integrated
• Know at-a-glance if a code is valid for reimbursement or if more specificity is needed
• Browse diagnoses by chapter, section and subsection; search within specific hierarchies
• Favorites list allows quick access to your most common codes, with groups to organize them
• Add custom, searchable notes on a per-code basis
• Convert ICD9 codes to ICD10 by name or by code number
The current 2026 ICD10-CM codes were effective October 1, 2025. The app draws the complete code database directly from the data files available at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
ICD10 Consult also provides full searchable and browsable access to the old ICD9-CM codes which were in use until October 1, 2015.
ICD10 Consult is ad supported to provide you with the current, up-to-date codes. In-App Purchase is available to disable ads. There are no bait-and-switch limited features.
What's New in ICD10 Consult (v11.7)
• Work in progress to update for Liquid Glass; we are releasing this version without a complete Liquid Glass transition to provide immediate access to the new codes

Within 24 hours of my reporting a bug that caused app to crash, the developer pulled an all nighter and fixed it. I pleaded with the guy to get some sleep but he persevered. I was still able to use the free version so I said I could wait. So my only concern is that if I ever identify a bug again, I’ll feel too guilty to report it. In all seriousness, how can you beat a mission critical program with support like that? Bravo!
I have an iPhone 6plus, the app suddenly stopped working, please help! When I go to open the app, the app starts up then immediately closes. I have plenty of space on my phone, just recently updated to the most resent iOS, even tried downloading and reinstalling the app. I loved this app and have been using it for years. Will change to 5 star review if I can get this fixed.
The annoying pop-up ads won’t even let me use the ICD-10 app. It keeps taking me back to the App Store to buy the sponsors’ apps!!! If this’s not fixed I’ll delete thus app! It’s new. I don’t mind paying for the app if there’s a paid version. Thank you!
Love having this app. When I don’t have my ICD-10 handy, this comes through in a pinch. It helps to have a basic understanding of codes to begin with, as it may not have the descriptors with it that your big book does… But I wouldn’t want to be without it.
Very well designed! I really like the ability to look up any diagnosis by name, without the need to search through categories. Much more efficient than going through printed lists.

Great app. I tried others. Best overall so far & good added features. Use it almost daily. Got support with question. Would be good to have app backup in cloud if lost app for any reason with lost or broken phone.
Very easy to use. The developer is very responsive to issues. Bugs are corrected quickly once they are aware. Highly recommended
This is a question. Where are the descriptors next to the codes as in the previous edition? This change has quadrupled my work time with this app. I may be forced to change apps.
They app tries to charge me around $20 every year to remove the ads. I thought paying this once should be sufficient.
This is a wonderful app to have on my phone. I use it daily and it’s so much faster and easier for me to use than trying to look things up in ICD10 consult book!
Most distracting to see peddling of commercial trinkets or mindless kid games while coding a patient’s condition for their insurance company. I’ll pay the $10 or $20 to be rid of ‘em. Was that the (extortion) plan?
I have the free version and after the last update my app crashes every time I open it It works now! Thank you very much!!!
Last eat update keeps crashing. Won’t even open at all.
This app has been a great reference. I am not familiar with ICD10 codes and this app has been super helpful for a class I am taking.
This is an amazing app, when it’s not closing on me often. No it’s not a big deal to reopen app and start again but I don’t feel it should crash this often.
This is so much easier than thumbing through that 10 lb book! Thanks!
Complete and easy to use
Handy and accurately line up criteria for all diagnostic and subtypes-thank you so much
Hello. I have a few questions regarding your ICD10 Consult App. Is this app licensed by the FDA, a government agency, academic institution or medical professional organization?
This ap is better for ICD 10 coding than the software in my EHR
This has helped tremendously for my NP course work and saves me a ton of time coding in clinic. No nonsense, easy to use. Great app.
Easy to use; very useful and informative....
Great reference for people in the healthcare field needing ICD-10 coding. I like the favorites section as well. Please update when needed!
Quick response and resolution of problem
Easy to use and saves me a lot of time.
This is a good app for those wanting to have an ICD Book
Very helpful ap to have at your fingertips
Helps with a very involved system of coding
Will recommend to anyone
Easy look-up, simple to use
This app has truly helped me manage my chronic diseases.
Not sure if it’s related to recent update of IOS but my app for ICD10 codes will not open DanD
Very helpful and easy to understand.
It is easy and fast way
Use daily. Very helpful
Friendly user

Makes coding easy!
ICD10 Consult Negative Reviews and Ratings
I use this app almost every day and am generally happy with it. However, after running the latest update for the 2024 codes, 1/3 of my screen is hijacked by TikTok ads. I am supremely disappointed to have paid for the full version only to have to put up with ads during an already crammed schedule.
Multiple Google ads are disruptive and inappropriate. Adds to inefficiency. Codes search results could be organized better with clinical logic. Helpful but not efficient.
The app is no longer even usable due to the ridiculous pop up ads for these dumb games. Medical apps such as this should not have to deal with this nonsense. We use this to try to help treat or patients
This app immediately started to annoy me upon opening. It was full of advertising and provided NO information on medical codes. What a waste! It is like the old time PC viruses that require a “subscription” to free up your screen. I’m sorry I wasted the time to download it.
Worked great until last update. Now typed words/letters/numbers do not appear on the search bar when you type in a search term. The app is reading the term but what I type does not appear in the search bar. I have tried contacting developer about this twice. Without this fail, it is a 5 star app. Please fix1
I paid for an app and right dab in the center of the screen are ads that change very few seconds. I have only been using the app 5 minutes and I am ready to delete it.
Crashes when trying to share favorites on ipad. Go to your favorites, click the share button (in order to send your favorites to your other device), and then crash. Please fix.
Suddenly started getting fake popup messages on the app that say “storage almost full,” but they are a misleading ad for an app to clean your phone. Can’t tell if app is infected with malware or this is intentional but I’m reluctant to use it now
I really can’t use the app from the different ads that are in the middle of the screen when trying to use the app.
I wanted to use this today and I cannot open it! The new update that was supposed to fix crashing that I wasn’t experiencing now causes it to crash immediately!
I went to use this app after the new update today and it would open past the title screen before it crashed
Almost more annoying than using icd 10 in the first place. Don’t bother
