Meta Ads Manager Customer Service

The Ads Manager app is far more intuitive/easy to use than the online version. It has a couple of downsides. You cannot do AB testing. Also, when duplicating an ad, not all of the settings actually duplicate. So you have to review thoroughly before publishing. If Meta could figure out how to make the online version more intuitive, I think they could increase their advertising revenue 20% or more.

I normally don’t even feel strongly about apps. But man, oh man. These reviews are pretty unfair! This is a great app for anyone who’s comfortable with basic decent graphic design, knows how to create an audience, and read metrics to improve the performance of their advertising. I’ve worked as both a part time social media manager for a nonprofit organization on a university campus, with upwards of 1.8k likes on the page being added to my tenure with the effective use of the ads and the Ads Manager. I’m now a supervisor at an authorized dealer of prepaid wireless service, and I use the app to run the promotions for a store in the Inland Empire region in California. Using the audience parameters, I’ve been able to increase our sales with very limited and strategic use of location-based advertising. It’s a good app. Keep it up!

I have been creating ads so easy on my phone but months ago some changes happened and came with many bugs. When you want to duplicate an ad in your app it would make a single block of text in you copy. And then when It is running I have to go and edit the text to make spaces (small paragraphs) and to edit is a pain because every time I want to edit a button pops up and you have to exit. So it is a good app to check your ad performance, adjust budget and maybe duplicate and experiment with other images. But if you need to work with new copy I now go back to my laptop. I hope someone fixes the bugs in the app. That would be awesome.

Every review you’ve seen up until now are possible astroturfers likely sent by some big company (those who’d benefit the most) to keep you from thinking this app works. An astroturfer is someone who pretends to be a regular person, but is actually paid or sponsored to promote a particular agenda, product, or viewpoint, often by posting fake reviews or comments. Every complaint talked about the cost but how can you complain about an amount of money you have complete control over, that doesn’t even make sense. Download this app and bypass that Apple service fee so that you can promote your brand, music, or business.

I’ve been using Facebook’s Ads Manager to promote a new page I recently created, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how smooth the experience has been. The interface is intuitive, the targeting options are flexible, and the performance insights make it easy to understand what’s working. For a new page just getting off the ground, it’s been a genuinely helpful tool. So far, it’s been a great way to reach the right audience and build momentum.

My account was hacked a while ago. I’m not tech savvy at all. It took me months to get my balance cleared. A year to get my page unrestricted. And now I’m trying to get the extra accounts off of my account so I can feel comfortable putting my payment information in. I’ve been trying for days. So frustrating. Happy I only used a card I can lock. Reading these reviews just deterred me from even trying any further.

I expected the worst when I saw the reviews before downloading this app, but was surprised by its functionality. Since I have the app, I often find myself omitting the desktop ad manager when I just want to check in on ad performance. It’s nice that custom presets (added on the desktop version) are also listed in the app. The ad creation or editing functionality is limited, but that logical for a client on a way smaller screen.

When travelling or On The Go this app works very well, especially when I don’t have my laptop or forget it. It could be better, but it gets the job done I’m pleased.

Complicated interface. Keep pushing you to desktop site for making changes and when you go to desktop site it has completely different opportunity score and recommendations assigned to the campaigns which are not even active!

I started getting messages in my Facebook messenger that my account was going to be shut down in 24 hours. A fake support group keeps sending me links to click on. I felt that this was wrong and so I did not click on the links, instead I started sending Facebook business support group or Facebook customer service/business support the messages and notifications I kept receiving, until one day I realize that someone signed on in my account from Vietnam I live in the US. I tried to access the Facebook support group and when I tried to reset my password and using my two-step authentication the messenger would pop up with a fake account and then someone with a thick accent contacted me on my phone number saying that they were meta so I hung up the phone. I tried to do a new authentication route using an authentication app. Hopefully this would work, but for the meantime, I noticed that I was getting charged on my credit card that's linked to my fb account which I did not process any payment so now I have to file fraudulent charges from Facebook. I don't understand what's going on. There's no customer service reps to speak to directly, and how are these people able to send you fake support group messages in your messenger? Facebook needs to be held accountable for this because one I am paying for authentication verified account on each pages through Facebook, how are these people accessing or allowed to send fake messages like there is no security on Facebook that will stop these people from sending fake messages? To many bots and hackers

I created a business page for the release of my first fantasy novel. I paid for ads to be made by a graphic designer, then started running them from the page. The ads consisted of modified versions of the book cover. The cover has a fully/modestly dressed woman and a spriggan (tree person, like ents). The title of the book “Starlight Jewel, Gifts of the Auldtree book one.” So nothing spammy or pornographic. Legit just nerdy fantasy book ads. Then my account was restricted. I hit the appeal button, thinking it must be some kind of bot mistake and once a human looked at it would get worked out. It did not. Apparently when you hit that appeal/review button, you forfeit all customer service assistance. No one can help you after you hit that button. My account was permanently restricted upon review and for “security reasons,” they wouldn’t even tell me what I did wrong. I wasted two weeks (during a book launch when I could have been marketing) trying to plead with their customer service for help. But they don’t care about the money I lost making those ads or about how I printed the facebook page URL in the dustjacket of my hardcover so I can’t just start a new page. They refused to help repeatedly, ignored my questions, and my Instagram account continues to be connected to FB meta in this app. So I can’t use the app. Meta and Facebook have no morals when it deals with small businesses. Their policies and practices make clear that they do not care about people at all.

They randomly took $125 out of my account 9 days before my due date and it caused my account to overdraft. I immediately contacted Facebook and a “personal customer service agent” said she would investigate immediately. I called PayPal and they immediately recognized the transaction as unauthorized and said Facebook was 100% in the wrong and they had no authorization to take it out of my bank account 9 days before it was due. I continued to email Facebook every other day for over two weeks while my account continued to accrue overdraft fees every day. I notified the agent that was “investigating my case” that the account was continuing to overdraft and I did not understand why they couldn’t have given me the original overdraft fee THEY CAUSED back instead of letting my account continue to be charged $35 per day while the account was waiting to be brought back to current (because of THEIR overdraft.) The agent continued to say she was investigating THREE WEEKS later. There is no number to call for Facebook customer service. How does a multi-billion dollar company not have customer service? Especially when businesses are paying them for ads. You’d think after Facebook already ruined the world’s trust they could step it up. It has now been over a month and the “agent” has still yet to email me back and now I have hired an attorney to get my money back, which will be easy with my signed documents from PayPal stating Facebook was 100% unauthorized to take the payment out of my account 9 days before my due date which was ALWAYS the last day of every month.

So, when it comes to checking your data and staying in the know, this is great. But when it comes to actually managing ads, it suffers. Sometimes errors will pop up due to little mistakes like missing info or something, and when you’re looking for the place to insert the missing info, it’s nowhere to be found. I assume this is no issue when using a laptop, but why not just tell people if the errors they receive can or can’t be resolved on the mobile app. Or better yet, why is it that certain features (like choosing a beneficiary) simply aren’t able to be modified through the app? Sometimes we just want be able to do our work from wherever we are without having to keep a laptop on us. The apps SHOULD be able to allow you to manage these ads with the same amount of detail as the website. Not to mention, support is only fast when we’re talking about money. But if I have an issue with anything else, support is basically dead. Thank god Google platforms people who can help fix meta’s problems… but then I feel like I should just be advertising there instead of on meta.

On February 18 at 3:58 in the morning my personal Facebook page was accessed by not me. They use this access to add a friend to my page and to infiltrate my business page payment method. They then created an conversion ad for another page. I uploaded an Isis flag to my profile pic deleted both my cover photo and my profile photo and then apparently uploaded many pictures of exploitation of children. The Isis flag and the children’s photos that I cannot see apparently alerted Facebook to disable and restrict my account but not disabling someone accessing the ad management. The page the ads are created from is an actual business in Alabama but the managing people are from the Philippines and Vietnam. This seems like they’re using that page as a scam. I cannot get any help on Facebook to clear up the charge on my account. I have screenshots of this entire ordeal and I just need to get someone to help me so that I can continue to do my job. I run a farmers market almost nonprofit and this is just hurting my community and Facebook won’t help me at all they say they can do nothing further when I try to talk to Support. I dont usually spend more than 20$ an ad and this one is now at 208$. I can’t do any ads on the page i manage unless I pay the hackers payment. Facebook is crippling themselves as i will undoubtedly loose the 13g followers and deactivate all the accounts when i would keep spending ad money. Im devastated. This has take me so long to keep this market open. To keep it going through covid. I just need a person to see that this wasnt me and take the charge away. I CAN PROVE THIS. I started advertising 2023 with my kitchen and bathroom remodeling company. One thing I noticed right away is they would send my ads to states that wasn’t in my 50 mile radius. Texas, Alabama, Colorado now y would I advertise there if I’m a local small business doing remodeling? I wouldn’t but all those people from different states I was charged for. Also when it’s set up to get new clients and your charged for every message that a potential client starts I don’t even have to respond I get charged for when responding to these potential clients they never respond back ever and not received one client from the ads that I’ve posted in a year not one because not one of them conversations back with me once they ask, can you tell me more information. I will never place the ad on Facebook ever again you can’t get a hold of customer service. They charge your card without you knowing it. So it isn’t like they are not already worth billions and billions and billions of dollars they had a stable from the little guy and then you can ever get your money back but let me take somebody’s money like it. I’ll be in jail.

Not only is the support for problem non existent & beyond generic but they don’t even try to personalize banning or solutions when they make a mistake & van the wrong person. Like they’ve banned me from paying for more ADs after I’ve already spent $200 I worked truly hard to get together as a single mother for my FB page that empowers women & is a support group that sometimes needs to use certain words like trauma or addiction simply to explain you can recover & spread hope. It needs to be case by case the trigger words. YET THERES PAGES ADVERTISING DEGRADING PHOTOS & CHILDREN IN NOTHING BUT UNDERWEAR CLAIMING ITS A KIDS LINGERIE LINE & THATS OKAY CAUSE ITS LABELED UNDER CLOTHING?! But I can’t provide a service helping women empower women & end bullying?! And instead of providing a solution to this error on their part I’ve spent weeks messaging just to keep receiving the same generic message for weeks. So now I’ve lost all my advertising money to this group just for it to shut down my ability to advertise & waste all of the money I have trying to make a life for my child & help create a world of hope. DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY OR WORK FIND A BETTER ADVERTISING PLATFORM FOR SURE. WORST EVER AND I NEVER REVIEW THINGS BUT I HAD TO PREVENT OTHERS FROM ENDURING WHAT IVE ENDURED.

I’ve used this app for a few years and it has been a wonderful tool to help me change my ads quickly and efficiently. Until something changed and the ability to edit my ad by choosing a previous post that has been getting a good response, is no longer an option. Now if I have an ad running and want to edit it, I can only edit a picture (choose a new one) or edit the text, among other things. So to change my ad and keep the same audience, budget etc, I now have to choose my picture and save it, and then go back into it and change the text. I feel it is forcing my to just buy another ad set and I don’t like it. I generally have just set my budget and let it run indefinitely and would go in every week or so and pick a new post to advertise. Now it’s a lot more trouble and I’m thinking I may have to end my ad every few days and start all over to instead of simply editing it. Can’t we get that option back please??!!

I am computer literate. I know how to be computer literate. Unfortunately your service wants to stop me on a promotional service based platform and compete with my sole business of networking. I am very sorry to disclose to you I’m smarter than that. Your parent company is new and I’ve used previous corporation technologies that will still crush and buy your company out or exclude it. Do you know I almost literally made Samsung work with Microsoft on their galaxy phone. I don’t think you understand me. Do you know in mock stocks I was competing in a 90 student class split between 3 classes and I’ve literally was in 1st place for weeks as soon as we started . So it’s the usual it’s not always what you know but who you know. But your trash service excuse my French can get bought out or replaced by previous cooperations . Like you don’t know who your messing with watch. So if my music ok I’ll expose my business does not get the streams or plays to support my piggy bank you and your services will shift. I’m black and passed an economics class with a D . But interesting enough I could have been a billionaire by now if those were real stock. I don’t think your service comprehends . First off they banned my ads i did a review they answered back and said sorry it was a accident gave me my privileges back then 2 days later! They unpublished my page and deactivated my ads so they deny some ads ok understand but then they approved some ads then 2 days later disapprove thats so un-professional im looking into legal action as we speak facebook needs to get sued for this im building a class action and im sure im not the only one that had this problem its robbery you take peoples money they get good high percentages in there rankings you take that away without a warning literally even a email like hey make sure you change this or we will deactivate your account so we can fix it no just makes mistakes and then does it again 2 days later i have all this snap shot saved so this will hold in court you dont make a mistake then say sorry then 2 days later i do nothing different then ban us this will be addressed whoever's working that section in facebook needs to be fired making mistakes and no compensation is a big mistake

I have spent over 150k on meta ads so Yes you can make money on Meta ads but the headache is becoming unbearable they charge me $400 in 10 mins for ad with a $500 budget multiple times per month. Wasting thousands of dollars a month. Then when I go to support they give me a run around for hour about how that’s normal and you should expect to spend up to 175% of your budget. Completely ignoring the fact it’s spent over 75% of my budget for the whole day in 10 mins. While giving me 0 good results. Than somedays when I need things to be pumping my ads are spending $80 in whole day. I have been working on Facebook ads for years I know how they work and typically they are worth these built it headaches but now that my account has been up for over 2 years running ads it seems they are punishing me for being such a loyal customer. I’m sure they won’t care but I think it’s finally time to take my business elsewhere.

After the recent update over a month ago, not only am I not able to view ANY notifications whatsoever in this app (yes notification settings are all turned on, but the notification page shows “no notifications” even after the badge at the bottom is displayed as having new notifications within the app) but EVEN WORSE - now I can’t view, edit, do ANYTHING with any of my ad sets, only my campaigns! I select ad sets from any campaign and it just says “failed to load” on the would-be ad set display page!!! And the campaigns are visible, but they stopped showing data on the campaign level altogether! I relied on this app for my business since I was frequently on the go. Now it’s become completely useless to me for two months now. (And I NEVER get a response, message, feedback, ANYTHING from anyone about this problem!) Ive even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, made sure my phone and apps were all up to date - NOTHING WORKS. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, current software. SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!

As a business owner, I have been using Facebook Ads to promote my products and reach my target audience. Unfortunately, the outcomes of my Facebook promotions and ads have not met my expectations. I have struggled to achieve the desired visibility and generate the return on investment I used to obtain. Furthermore, I have been taken aback by the dramatic increase in prices per message in Facebook Ads. The costs have skyrocketed, making advertising on the platform very expensive. The costs per product or sale have risen up to three times, making it difficult for me to operate my business and continue investing in Facebook advertising. As an entrepreneur, the ability to reach my target audience cost-effectively is crucial for the growth and success of my business. Unfortunately, these challenges have created a significant barrier in my ability to do so through Facebook Ads. I hope that Facebook can consider measures to assist entrepreneurs and small businesses in overcoming these obstacles. It would be greatly beneficial to have more accessible and flexible options that allow us to effectively promote our products without incurring prohibitive costs. I sincerely appreciate any attention that Facebook can give to this matter, and I hope that efforts are made to enhance the advertising experience for small businesses like mine.

I can’t even begin to explain the holes in the app and site. The customer service in nonexistent. Someone might send you the same automated message 2 weeks after you try to report a problem. For me, I built up an instagram profile, and then a payment went through RANDOMLY and was denied because it WAS NOT SCHEDULED and i do not keep money in that specific checking account. I tried many times to pay the .20¢, YES, TWENTY CENTS that I owed, but everything about the app glitches out. It banned me from trying to pay, and it disabled my account. I’ve reached out and gotten the same response at least 15 times. “We’re sorry... we see the issue... we’re reactivated your account.” Except my account is never actually reactivated. I’m no longer the admin of my own Facebook page, and I cannot disconnect my instagram account from the page. I’m 100% helpless to have this issue fixed. BE WARNED THIS APP IS ABSLOUTE SH**.

I love the Meta ecosystem, but I HATE this app. It's the worst Meta has built. This app is NEVER functional. Takes forever to load, gives inaccurate numbers real time. Can't look into much data needed, has to be on desktop. The worst of all is it never loads. I don't know why Meta has left this app to the side. I see updates almost every week and I get excited everytime thinking "yes finally they fixed it", i update it and the thing is worse after every update. Sometimes I wonder if this app was left to rookies or starters in the company to develop their skills. Because sincerely, this app is functioned like it was built by a person new to this, and just learning. I hope one day Meta actually gives us, the people who have hundreds of thousands of dollars poured into their system, an app that we can really rely on when on the go. 1 star for this app, and thats alot to give.

I’ve spent well over $1,000 on Meta Ads Manager, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating. First off, their app is confusing and poorly designed. Initially, my ads were running to the entire United States, wasting money. I had to figure out how to fix this myself because their customer service is virtually non-existent. Speaking of customer service—it’s awful. You can only chat online, and you’re constantly transferred between agents who claim they can’t help you but, the next person can. If you’re unable to respond immediately (like most of us who are working), they end the chat, forcing you to start over. It’s a complete waste of time. As for the results? I got a grand total of five conversations started, none of which replied when I followed who was a guy who accidentally hit the contact button because the interface is so touchy (I’ve accidentally done the same, so it feels intentional to inflate engagement numbers). To make matters worse, their daily spending limit is not enforced. You’d think they’d resolve this quickly, but nope—customer service failed to address it entirely. In the end, all Meta Ads Manager did was waste my time and money. I will NEVER use this service again. In my opinion, all the glowing reviews out there are likely fake.

I was recently told my Ads account was disabled due to unpaid charges. I contacted the Ads Inquiry team and told them the charges were fraudulent. A few days later they emailed me and said all the charges had been eliminated and I could use my account again. I just tried to, and was denied access because of unpaid charges. I checked and the charges are the very ones I was told had been cancelled. Nothing had been done to fix this. There was a button saying go to the help center. I clicked on it and all it did was take me to my Facebook page. I clicked again and got a message saying that page could not be found. My frustration and disappointment are beyond words. This is a very important ad that I need to post. It's a casting call. The future of a stage musical depends on it. Will someone somewhere PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me! --Clare Higgins

By “existing” I mean that there is a customer service that actually responds back, but all the answers are automatized without hearing my side of the story. The short story is that I was hacked by some Bulgarian and/or Russian people that made to ads in two occasions that charge my account for some advertisement that violated the terms of use of facebook. Facebook didn’t even bother to check in with me about what happened, but they were definitely interested in the money that they charged me, before blocking my account. If anyone from facebook sees this, please respond and help me with my problem, since our company needs to use ads (which have always followed your policies) to promote our products for sell. I will be waiting for your answer since I got tired of send help tickets through the facebook support page.

Nowadays Facebook advertising feels less effective because the platform ecosystem has changed. After Meta Platforms introduced earnings and monetization opportunities for content creators, competition for audience attention increased significantly. More advertisers and creators are now competing within the same system, which naturally raises advertising costs and pushes higher recommended budgets. At the same time, changes in user tracking policies introduced by companies like Apple Inc. reduced targeting accuracy, so Facebook requires more spending to achieve similar results as before. As a result, businesses often feel pressured to spend larger amounts while receiving comparatively lower performance, making the current advertising model seem less practical for many advertisers.

If you can catch it on a good day it works pretty well. More often though, it has an array of plan killing bugs that prevent me from using it. One day it might be because you can’t select an end date and time for an ad because it doesn’t fully render the screen you need to input the time and date. Another day it might insist on merging text from another post with your current post when trying to use an older ad as a template. Another favorite of mine is the vast majority of your previously ran ads simply not showing up in your history. I could go on but this app has taken enough of my time as it is…. Please address these bugs that have been an issue for over a year so I can use your service and pay you money…please and thank you

I have taken the time out of my day to write this review because the app frustrated me that much. It will automatically set your ad to message the people who click on your ad with some pre generated message. What if I don’t want my fans to get messaged by a bot version of our account about the ad? It’s really strange to me and I hate it so much. I wouldn’t mind if it was easily switched or if it was not the default. But even when I try to change it the ad always has issues. They make it hard to setup anything else I might as well try to do it on the computer. Also when I’m trying to change the website I want the click to go to it glitches out and I really hope y’all change it someday.

If there were an award for the worst app of the century, Facebook Ads Manager would win hands down. This app is a masterclass in frustration, inefficiency, and wasted time. It’s unbelievably slow, taking ages to load even the simplest of metrics, let alone making edits or reviewing campaign performance. What’s baffling is that Facebook (or Meta, whatever they’re calling themselves now) makes billions of dollars from ad revenue. You’d think they’d invest a fraction of that into making this app usable, but no. Instead, they’ve delivered a glitch-ridden, sluggish experience that feels like it’s stuck in 2010. Trying to manage ads on the go? Forget it. The app crashes randomly, the interface is clunky, and basic features like real-time updates are laughable at best. It’s clear they’ve prioritized profit over user experience, leaving advertisers to suffer. Meta, you’ve got the resources to do better. Spend some of that ad money on your app or at least be honest and rename it to “Frustration Manager.” Avoid this app if you value your sanity. You’re better off managing your ads on a desktop—at least until they decide to care.

I have been trying to run ads on my Instagram and Facebook for the last 2 months, suddenly out of nowhere they just stopped working. I constantly get error messages saying “your account was not found” even though everything is connected exactly right. I’m unable to preview my ads because im “violating guidelines” which is 100% not true, everything i’m trying to advertise is my own photos of my own products. It’s extremely frustrating that Facebook is making it soooo difficult to boost an ad. Its not rocket science and to make matters worse, out of all of the Instagram and Facebook employees there is no customer service or representative that can help fix these issue… such a joke

I used this platform a couple of years ago to try and promote music but I kept getting my ads and ads accounts disabled without explanation. It worked great at first but then they decreased their reach, got irrelevant traffic, then they removed ads and disabled accounts.I wasted a lot of money. After appealing, they admitted to a mistake and reinstated my account but the process took weeks and when you promote a single you need to get that ad out right away. There were many missed opportunities. I was hoping to sign up for the platform again, but reading these reviews, it doesn’t seem like they solved any of these problem so it looks like I might continue to stay away. It’s not worth the headache.

This app makes me want to bang my head against the wall. It freezes, it doesn’t publish ads, even if it looks like the ad is active, it doesn’t actually publish but doesn’t let you know, what’s in the app doesn’t correspond well with what you see in a browser, adds disappear. What a disaster. I could understand the poor quality when it was first launched, but why is this app still so unbelievably poor quality? Obviously Facebook has a monopoly position, which is why I come back to it, but I really hope a new platform takes over, just because adversing on Facebook is such a stressful, frustrating, disastrous experience. And while I am a paying customer, there is no customer service. Barf, absolutely terrible.

My Facebook was hacked and suddenly I have ads being ran and coming out my ears. No matter how many times I delete the campaigns, more keep getting approved and ran. I have contacted support NUMEROUS times in the last two weeks and have heard nothing. The ads are being ran in Thailand and there’s an unknown payment method on the account. I’m completely helpless. I can only imagine what chaos and stress this would be if I were trying to actually run my own ads and had my own payment method on there that was hacked, and the complete lack of help is really telling. I’ll just have to end up deleting my entire Facebook and thus meta account (that I didn’t even make!!!). Really, really, disappointing.

Hello peeps, I know you guys are working hard 24/7 to improve this app as much as possible. But HELLOOO! Guys, you gotta see this mess and sort it. Its basic man, no rocket science. May be no one noticed that or may no one pointed that out but we need to sort this: - I cannot access all photos in my camera roll through this app! Only a few photos in a random order show up every time i access my camera roll through this app! - I cannot add a banner sized static image for a campaign as it cuts off but on the other hand i can easily upload it on desktop! - I cannot make a duplicate ad set! This app is only limited to duplicating campaigns! Can you please get these small blockers sorted so that i don’t have to look at my desktop ever again for any campaign related stuff? P.s. don’t give me the “reinstall the app and make sure you have the latest version” crap! I got the latest app and a new phone as well! Make this world a better place! Do your part! Do it! Just do it! 🤘🏻

You would think that a company with the size and budget of meta would be able to design an app that is stable and usable. Or actually maybe you wouldn’t. Maybe you would expect a slow and buggy app paired with the worst support you have ever seen. Everything is extremely counter intuitive. Meta/facebook makes their money from ads, so how is their ad platform this bad? Do they not want more money? The truth is as long as they keep being the only major ad platform they have no competition to face, and when you have no competition you have no reason to ever improve. Which is why it is unsurprising that this app is literally unusable at times (and i’m not exaggerating).

There’s always an issues with adding funds. It always says there was error adding funds, try again but then few minutes later. It charges the card and funds the account. So it you keep trying error after error you might be getting charged. BUT right now is shows same error but account isn’t getting funded after trying 5 days already . Yes the card has funds, same card I’ve used before, and other cards get funding error. And I can’t remove the cards to try again (gives error!) And on top can’t submit support ticket because also an ERROR!!!! Nothing works, and no it’s not my phone or card. BAD app.

I started using Facebook ads a month ago and at that time it was going pretty bad because they were targeting wrong people but it was okay because it was still real people but then it changed as time went on. Now they are literally giving me false click reports and false charges then to add onto that giving a ridiculous cpc for the bot “clicks” Absolutely the worst ads app out there. They are scammers and they always ban your accounts for the smallest things. Anyone unsure whether to run ads with Facebook take my word for it. DONT this company is corrupt and is scamming you by giving you dozens of small charges to your account and making it so you don’t notice. IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE NUMBER OF STARS I WOULD

From building an ad, to general navigation of the app, Meta Ads Manager is consistently broken. After messing with this app forever to finally sort of have an idea of how to navigate it, you finally are almost finished with building an ad and go to add a picture, the screen crashes, everything you have done in making the ad, is gone and you have to restart. When you run a business by yourself, wasting so much time on this app is coasting me more money than this app is supposed to be helping me bring in. It’s terrible and u will be shifting over to google ads, because google actually care if their apps work.

Every single day I get the info on how much was spent on ads the previous day. And it always shows with the decimal point moved over 2 spots, making it show up as 100 times the amount that was actually spent. First time this happened I almost had a heart attack that hundreds of dollars were spent in one day when I didn’t authorize that kind of amount. But no, it wasn’t $283, it was $2.83. Push notifications also show the 100x amount. And the notifications list overwrites all preview on the page with that 100x number from today, showing it as the amount for all previous days as well. This is Software QA 101 that you failed to do.

This app is predominantly useless. On multiple occasions I just put it away and waited until I could get to my computer. Lately I’ve been using it to check ad performance, but even that is abysmal, only giving the most shallow stats. And you can’t get help. Don’t bother trying. Glitches cause an ad to stop and you’re basically screwed. Build another one and hope it survives. FB ads use to be available for phone support to fix that stuff. Then it was email. Then it was messages through the help center. Now it’s nothing. I doubt they’ll even read this review. So tonight the update they pushed out went ahead and just killed the app altogether. Maybe they’re just driving the last nail into its coffin.

I’ve emailed Facebook on multiple occasions after I found out that my Facebook account was compromised. Someone had created ads under my Facebook account and locked me out and made themselves admins. I’m unable to delete these ridiculous ads and have no control of the ad portion of Facebook. I never got a response from anyone at Facebook, and now I’m currently on deployment serving in the US Army I’ve been bombarded with these notifications for these ads once again. Facebook won’t help in any way. I hate your company and what it stands for when you can’t prevent fraudulent use of accounts, let alone stop it or want to help with correcting the issue.

Facebook seems completely disconnected from the people who actually pay this company by purchasing ads (unless you’re a VIP). Customer support is nonexistent. There is literally no contact information of any kind to use when you have a problem. It takes days to get a response through their help system and then they close your ticket before you can even confirm that they have fixed the problem. My account keeps getting locked for “unusual activity” with no explanation. My ads violate no policies and in fact get approved. If they spent one tenth of the effort on this that they do on tweaking the newsfeed for the millionth time, they would probably have a great service.

I have been advertising with FB for years. However in January 2024, my ads were being filled by bots. I spent 2 months reaching out to reps requesting a credit for the ads that generated bot info (i sent in videos and screenshots of this) however no one was able to help. I disputed this with my credit card company and once that kicked in, in April, my ads account was banned. This is so unprofessional as Ive been using this service for years and when I complained of the bots filling out my forms, some reps disregarded my request, others had me go in circles as they kept telling me they fixed it, and now FB has banned my ads account.

1. From the create ad page select the carousel pictures option and select pictures. The user interface is foreign to iPhone users. You have to select a picture in the “carousel”, then change it with a picture in the tab interface for the image source. If you change the source tab often enough it will crash. 2. For some reason, it won’t link my Instagram account. When it reports the error, if you select the “Back” arrow, your work creating the ad is lost. 3. The settings icon is also foreign to iPhone users. When you select Report a problem, an error screen appears. Facebook Ads Manager needs some more QA testing. I found these bugs trying to create my first ad.

Please add call to action button on my iphone? it seems if your going to load a video for sale of a product or service >> your going to want to add a call to action button option i have to go to a lap top to do this - this is handy as you know many use there iphone/mobil for business. why have this app if you cannot ad a call to action button to ad. Also were is there a link to share an approved ad with a co worker? there is no share link with the the ad for the user/admin to share it with? ad goes out no share:-( please on iphone tell me where i know on post you have this i just go to page. but on mobil the ad does not show or have a link to see on that page? does this mean i duplicated ad and leave off the call of action button as on post with video i have not seen where as well. please fix app call of action thanks

All of Metas business platforms are awful. Confusing, hard to navigate, glitchy, and I feel like I need 4 apps just to edit my page. Ad manager is always crashing, and I can’t even update everything I need to while on the app. Which makes me have to use the PC. It often shows a different status and ad data than than business suite and ad center on the PC. While trying to create an ad they are trying to incorporate too many ai features. Which makes it almost impossible to satisfy the AI ad gods. Sometimes I just want to create my own ad and let it run without all the confusing garbage.

Their support has been the worst thing I have ever experienced. The people that help you aren’t knowledgeable about fixing anything. Then they open a ticket and take forever to get back to you to just tell you that they can’t even address anything. They were not helpful and didn’t even try and troubleshoot any of my issues. I had to troubleshoot everything on my own. This platform is very bad and their support is awful. I moved my ads to google but I still have a shop on Facebook but it has many bugs which nobody knows how’s address, the experience with Facebook support has been frustrating to say the least!

Until I downloaded this app I always ordered advertising from Instagram app and it worked well. But since this app gives more opportunities for settings I decided to try it and after several times my add account stoped working. What happens now is when I set up the new advertising either on Instagram or in this app I receive a notification that my add was approved but nothing happens and add actually doesn’t run! And there is no way to fix it because it’s extremely complicated to even contact customer support to get any information about my case. So I just can’t use an advertising on my Instagram account anymore :((

I’ve been trying to create ads for my business with the app, but it keeps freezing, not all the options are available (Get event responses), I authorize the app to get access to my photos, and then again it keeps telling me to check my settings. I’ve checked the same settings over 50 times and still not getting me anywhere. There’s no point to use the app if I have to do it on the desktop version if I want to get something done. Very frustrating.

You spend a good amount of money on ads for leads, get leads, and get no notification for said leads. Also no way to view leads on your mobile app whatsoever. Thus not being able to follow up in time and lose the lead. This is a great system they have going! Now if you want to actually want to get a notification for a new lead, you have to integrate a third party service, sign up for their platform as well and connect your Facebook account there. Because why would a multi-billion dollar company bother to set up their own notification service for their own leads? What a concept!

Last update supposed to make this app more reliable - now all I get is “failed to load”.

The margins of the app are messed up. The title is like under the notch and the bottom tabs are way too close to the bottom edge. Fix and I’ll increase the stars.

This app has been down for so long and is more designed for marketing people. If you’re an entrepreneur or run your own business, try downloading the Advoz app. It makes Facebook and Instagram advertising way easier.

Creating an ad is very confusing and complicated. It took a while to figure out and I’m still not even sure if I did everything right or if the ad will even work.

The app needs to be upgraded. Only limited features are available.

Put an ad in for $20 - billed me for $470 despite removing credit card from the portal. Needed to lock my credit card and contact my back to put stop payments in place.

This app has never worked well. I don’t understand how with all the money they have they can’t figure out how to fix an app. I can never see Ad sets. I can never open the Ad and the stats. Can’t change settings. Useless.

Like paying money without results

Nothing with meta is consistent. This app is completely different in terms of creating ads compared to doing it on the website, compared to doing it in the meta business suite app. Nothing meta creates is user friendly in any way.

The app gives incorrect information, is buggy, and does not match the info shown on the Meta web dashboard. Sometimes it even shows data from a different ad account than the one which is currently selected. Completely unreliable.

The app doesn’t let me sign in to my account for 2-3 weeks

Horrible app and I’d expect better from meta. It’s almost impossible to create ads or even optimize existing ones. And worst thing is you can’t even use the web version on your phone you are forced to use the app. As an advertiser this is very frustrating since I can’t do any quick checks from my phone. Unlike with TikTok which has a super easy platform to use.

Does not update ads performance for days. Only updates every 24h to 48h. Terrible

This app is practically unusable for creating Facebook ads. I cannot set up an ad through my phone and it simply doesn’t work properly. Content won’t load, I can’t set targeting or make the ad run, and the API is absolutely useless. Extremely frustrating experience.

For a company this big, you would assume that they would have a clear outlines and a designated process for users to understand what gets their ad accounts disabled, and how to get their ad accounts renewed. Instead, we have random ad account disables, with absolutely no way to appeal. Thanks a lot!

Constantly locks my account when trying to use my own credit card. Will not allow payment to go through. Called my bank they said everything is fine on their end, so facebooks system is broken 💪

The last update broke things. Fails to refresh campaign data. When campaign data does refresh, ad icon images no longer appear making it difficult to identify ads at a glance. Basically80% un-usable

Something happened yesterday and suddenly i have a ridiculous amount of ads. Its out of control.

The app constantly crashes, glitches, and logs me out. Switching between ad accounts often doesn’t work, and essential stats like number of clicks, CTR, and breakdowns are missing or completely unreliable. It’s nearly impossible to analyze performance properly. Older versions from 2019 to 2022 were much more stable and usable. Unfortunately, in 2025, this version feels like a broken beta. Very disappointing for a tool that’s supposed to be professional.

This app has consistently given me inaccurate data for the last few weeks, along with not displaying the days I specify. Not only that, you can’t make edits to your campaigns the way you can on desktop. I’m a small entrepreneur on the move, I check stats on the bus on the way home from work. I need this app to function properly so I can make intelligent business decisions with what little time I have. As of May 7, 2025 I would recommend not bothering with downloading it, unless you’re desperate for simple daily confirmations that your ads are delivering. Don’t expect granular control or even accurate stats though. ☹️
