Nice!I import times for a year at a time from hebcal into my calendar and sync, but I like the fact that you can quickly have access to times for different locations. Presentation is great. And the price can't be beat - thanks! A few suggestions if you're looking to improve on an already very nice app: - Why not use the GPS to allow adding your current location more easily? - Also being able to see times for a specific date(s) beyond this/next week would definitely be great for planning ahead. - I'll second the request for having the local time keep current (it's a little disconcerting). - Lastly, haven't had an opportunity to see what it does for Chagim, but why not recast it from just Shabbat times to be able to handle candle lighting for Erev Chag as well? Been using for yearsI’m a non-religious guy with observant friends and relatives. Toda Rabah!Thank you so much for this app! I love it. The user interface mimics the iPhone's native weather app, but it gives very useful information for the celebration of Shabbat. The app is free, too, which is a big plus. Most of the Jewish/Hebrew-related apps on the app store are paid apps. I only have one small complaint, and a few suggestions for possible updates. Complaint: the "Local Time" field doesn't refresh after the application loads. Again, very small complaint, as you can use the iPhone clock or any of the millions of other clocks in the world. :-) Still, this would probably be an easy fix, and should be part of any future update. Suggestions: 1. Give the actual chapter and verse numbers for the Parsha reading. It would also be cool if this were a link that would open up to the Parsha itself. 2. Give the Haftarah reading along with chapter and verse numbers. Likewise with a link to the reading. 3. Allow the user to cycle through to future Shabbat information. The "Next week ..." week line is good, but it would be awesome to have a full calendar of Shabbat information. Again, beautiful user interface, and thank you so much for making it free! Useful utility for those who observe the Jewish customDownloaded out of curiosity because I've heard of this practice, but never took the time to learn a bit about it until now. I visited the developer's website, and also found some more information at Wikipedia. Fascinating. Anyway, if you're a practicing Jew who so happen to enjoy using gadgets like the iPhone or iTouch, I think you'll probably enjoy using Shabbat Shalom. You'll find it quite helpful. Similar to the the default Weather application, it gives you a local (or non-local, for example, Jerusalem, Shanghai, or Sydney) "forecast" of Sukkot times for the current week - Candle lighting, Havdalah. It also gives you next week's Candle lighting time. For me, it was a useful educational tool, and, well, somewhat entertaining. I think I have only one suggestion for the developer about the graphics. At first glance, I thought the image of the Chala bread the looked like a brain. Perhaps tweak the image a bit more to make it look more like a Chala bread..DanchowVersion: 0

Only one complaint!As a nurse who often works with Jewish patients, I find this application very helpful to know what time my patients will or will not be able to answer the phone, sign a form, ring their call bell, etc. I always know, on Friday evening, what time I need to begin assisting them but by Saturday the application has moved on to the next week. So unless I have made a note of Havdalah time, I don't know the exact time. Why oh why can't it wait until Sunday to display next week's schedule??? Otherwise it's a wonderful help not only to me but to my patients, many of whom don't know the exact times themselves and appreciate the information..AristillusVersion: 0

Cool!I have only one suggestion, though. When finding the locations, it would really be helpful to have them organized in a different way, such as by country instead of simply saying "americas". I found it very difficult to find a close match to where I actually live in the USA. So within the country, perhaps say, United states, then maybe organize by time zone, and then allow choice of daylight savings or not. It's really nice.It gives you the starting Shabbat time, the Havdalah time and the R' Tam Havdalah time for the current week. It also gives the parsha, and for the next week, the parsha and Shabbat lighting time. It seems to be very accurate, as it lists the same times as my kitchen schedule. Also, it gives you these times for any city you set it up for. It also gives you the local time of each city. It's like having a world clock. There are so many nice features, and it's free. Parshah not listed...Just installed this handy Shabbat app, but the weekly Parashat isn't showing (should be v'Zot haBerachah for Tsihrei 13-19, '69). I really like the concept and would LOVE to have one handy reliable Shabbos button, especially living in the PacNW, this is not NYC...if I run late on Fri afternoon and am I'm not near a wifi point to check candle time, I can't just pick out someone on the street and ask. By the way, to the reviewer who asked what the heck this app is - no offense, dude, but if you don't know, you defintely don't need to worry about it anyway. Thanks for the quick fix to the applicationThis new version solves the problems that the APP had with IOS version 3 and how it interacted with the IPod Touch. I am so glad to have my app back and thank everyone at Rusty Brick for their quick action in getting the fix in. I can now once again set new cities and new locations. This isn't the same Shabbat shalom that I once had .This app used to be clear and simple to follow . It had a solid blue background and it was easy to read and follow. Somehow it got deleted from my phone and when I downloaded the app again it had a picture background with ads and much too much information . The screen is busy and messy and very unclear . Newer isn't always better could never be more appropriate here. I wish they would stick to the basic and simple format instead of creating an updated version that just misses the boat . Perhaps it can still be changed . In the meantime , when I'm rushing on Friday and need to quickly check when shabbos is, I will probably check the calendar rather than have to concentrate to figure out where the information I need is located in the page..Rushing before shabbosVersion: 4.0
